HALL, J. Edna (nee Mann)
HALL, J. Edna (nee Mann) In loving memory of J. Edna (nee Mann) Hall, 90 years of Sudbury, who passed away Thursday morning, August 14th, 2003 at the Extendicare-York, Sudbury. She was born in Toronto and married Everett Hall in North Bay in 1937. Edna grew up in Kearney & Pembroke. She lived several years in Sundridge then 14 years in Burwash moving to Sudbury in 1972. A dedicated educator she had been a teacher in the Nipissing area, Wanup, Sundridge and Burwash, retiring in 1970 with 20 years service. A woman of faith she was a member of St. Andrew's United Church and the Fidelis U.C.W. Unit. She was the past president of the Ontario Association Superannuated Woman's Teachers and a charter member of the Retired Women's Teacher's of Ontario being instrumental in bringing the first provincial conference to Sudbury. A gifted musician she played the piano and was a church organist. She generously shared her music with friends at Walford & Extendicare-York. She enjoyed playing bridge and she spent many happy times at the cottage on Elbow Lake. Edna will be remembered as a determined and independent person whose light inspired all who knew her. Beloved wife of Everett Hall predeceased 1995. Loving mother of Doreen (husband Al Balazs) of Edmonton, Barbara Anne Hall of Sudbury, Gordon Hall (wife Elizabeth) of Estaire and Peter Hall (wife Jenny) of Huntsville. Cherished grandmother of Jo-Anne, Elaine (husband Len), Sharon (husband James), Jamie (wife Aribo), Liisa (husband Sean), Eila, and Erik; great-grandchildren Kalandra, Robyn, Isobel, and Maija. Dear daughter of Robert and Helen (Wilson) Mann predeceased. Dear sister of David (wife Jean) of North Bay and the late Charles and Alan Mann both predeceased. Sadly missed by loving nieces and nephews. Resting at the JACKSON AND BARNARD FUNERAL HOME, 233 Larch St., Sudbury. Funeral Service in the R.J. Barnard Chapel, Sunday, August 17th, 2003 at 2 p.m. Cremation at the Park Lawn Crematorium. Donations to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated. (Friends may call after 12 noon Sunday).

HUBERT, Grace Ethel Zelda (nee Bradley) In loving memory of Grace Ethel Zelda Hubert (nee Bradley), 60 years, of Sudbury, who passed away Saturday evening, August 16th, 2003 at the Sudbury Regional Hospital - Laurentian Site. She was born in Powassan and married Reg Hubert in Sudbury in 1965. A longtime Sudbury resident, Grace was a woman of great faith who regularly read her bible. She enjoyed cross stitching and music. She was an avid reader. Grace was devoted to her loving family. Beloved wife of Reg Hubert of Sudbury. Loving mother of Karen Elaschuk (husband Metro) of Sudbury and Elli Jackson (friend Owen) of Ottawa. Cherished grandmother of Glen, Mathew, Katie, Steven and Paul (predeceased). Dear daughter of John Wesley and Margaret Isabell (Hamilton) Bradley predeceased. Dear sister of Tommy (wife Lise) and Hermanie Byers and Idella Cleroux (husband Gaston) all of Ottawa, Walter and Eldon both of Kelowna, B.C. and the late Ireton (wife Irene of Powassan), Raymond and Roberta Bradley, Agnes Medveduke and Birdie Hamilton all predeceased, and step-brother Kevin of Western Canada. Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Resting at the JACKSON AND BARNARD FUNERAL HOME, 233 Larch St. Sudbury. Funeral Service in the R.J. Barnard Chapel, Wednesday, August 20th, 2003 at 11:30 a.m. Interment in the Civic cemetery , Sudbury. Donations to the Northern Cancer Research Fund or the Kidney Foundation would be appreciated. KACHMAR, Gloria In loving memory of Gloria Kachmar, 61 years, who passed away peacefully, Saturday morning, July 26th, 2003 at the Sudbury Regional Hospital - St. Joseph's Health Centre, surrounded by her family. Beloved mother of Cheryl Harmiden of Sudbury. Loving daughter of Alex and Annie Kachmar both predeceased. Cherished sister of Bill and Vera (husband Stan Koren Sr.) both of Sudbury. The family wish to extend special thanks to Evelyn and Irma from Positive Steps for their care and dedication. Gloria worked at Mack's Clothing on Kathleen St. for many years. LAVIGNE, Cecile Marie (Leclair) In loving memory of Cecile Marie Lavigne (Leclair), 78 years who passed away Thursday, July 24th, 2003 at Extendicare York. Beloved wife of Aurele Lavigne predeceased 1977. Loving mother of Suzanne (husband Harvey Wyers) of Hanmer and Denise of Mississauga. Cherished grandmother of Sean (fiancee Dawne) and Chad. Dear daughter of Charlie and Grace Leclair both predeceased. Dear sister of Margaret of North Bay, Nora of Montreal, predeceased by Anne and Florence. Cecile was a past president of the Royal Canadian Legion Ladies Auxiliary, Branch 511, Val Caron, she had her 30 year pin was currently a member of Branch 76. She enjoyed camping, fishing and dancing. Cecile will always be remembered as a woman who enjoyed life, with a fun loving attitude. MANSFIELD, Frederick "Fred" William In loving memory of Frederick "Fred" William Mansfield, 69 years, who passed away Saturday morning, August 16th, 2003 at the Sudbury Regional Hospital - Laurentian Site. Beloved partner of Lovey Kotyluk of Copper Cliff. Loving father of Catherine (husband Scott MacAlpine) of Sudbury, Dianne (husband Peter Gahagan) of Bolton and David (wife Vicky) of Lively. Cherished grandfather of Devon, Stephanie, Bryan, Bethany, Kaitlyn, William, Richard and great-grandchild Brayden. Sadly missed by Lovey's family; John Kotyluk (friend Kim), Wendy (husband Tony Jurgilas) and Robert. Dear son of Everett and Stella Mansfield both predeceased. Dear brother of Bev Sleaver and Doug both of Copper Cliff and Richard predeceased. Born in Bridgewater, N.S., he worked at INCO for 35 years, retiring in Fire Protection Services in 1985. He then worked for 15 years as a Court Clerk at the Sudbury Court House. He was a Past Chief at the Copper Cliff Volunteer Fire Department, an associate member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #224, Copper Cliff, and a past member of the Lions Club. He was, over the years, active in minor hockey and baseball in Copper Cliff. Memorial Visitation in the JACKSON AND BARNARD FUNERAL HOME, 233 Larch St. Committal Service in Park Lawn cemetery , Wednesday, August 20th, 2003 at 1 p.m. Cremation at the Park Lawn Crematorium. McCORRISTON, Howard Reginald Died peacefully at Grand River Hospital, K-W Health Centre on Monday August 4, 2003 at the age of 77 years. Beloved husband of 51 years to Lenna (nee Lewis). Loving father of Terry & Marg of Kitchener, Ross & Cheryl of St. Agatha, Mark & Willi of Kindersley, Sask., and Brian & Sue of Oak Ridges, ON. Grandpa will be missed by 12 grandchildren, Jason & Rachel, Colin, Blair, Adam, Matthew, Ashley, Holly, Lorah, Kaitlinn, Melissa, and Brittany. He will be remembered by his brothers and sister, Roy of South Porcupine, ON., Harvey of Saskatoon, Sask., Ann & Charles Hancock of Humboldt, Sask., and Jim & Gretta of Saskatoon, Sask. Brother in law of Viola McCorriston of Tisdale, Sask., and Dianne McCorriston of Kitchener. Missed by Lenna's family, Ilene McMillan, Marvin & Nancy Lewis, Eldon & Mona Lewis, June Lewis, Liz Lewis, and Carl & Lorene Lewis. Predeceased by his parents, Reginald (1932) and Mildred (1998) McCorriston, his brothers, John and Dave, and brothers-in-law, Earl Lewis Jr., Harold McMillan, Jim Lewis, and Rene Lewis. Survived by his aunts, Hazel and Irma and Uncle Dave and many nieces and nephews. The McCorriston family will receive friends at the United Missionary Church, Spring Bay, on Saturday, August 23, 2003 for Howard's memorial from 1-3 p.m. The Funeral Services were held in Kitchener on August 8, 2003. MOREAU, Joseph "Raymond" (August 18, 1929 - August 17, 2003) After a courageous battle with cancer, the family announces his passing at the Sudbury Regional Hospital - Laurentian Site, at the age of 73 years. Born in St. Louis Du Ha Ha, Quebec, Ray came to Ontario in the 1950's to work in the mines. He spent most of his working life with MacIsaac Mining. After his retirement, he was a volunteer for the Children's Aid Society and Meals on Wheels. Ray will be remembered as a determined and independent person whose light was inspired by Bill W. and all of his friends. Much loved father of Sherry, Rachelle Philippe (husband Gerry), Raymond of Manitowaning (wife Tammy Lister), Marilyn Fox of Sudbury, Verlyn Edgar of Batchewana Bay (husband Reese) and their mother Emily Moreau. Cherished Grandpa to Christopher, Kelly, Kirha Jane, Lauren, Daina, Jacob, Noah, Paula, Lyndsay, Patrick, Free, Kim, Taryn, Brent, Chad and twelve great-grandchildren. Predeceased by his parents Josaphat Moreau and Alida Ouellet. Loving brother of Armand, Laurent, Fernand, Leo, Ghislaine Moreau all of Quebec, Isabelle Cloutier, Jeannine Beaudoin, Jacqueline Dumont, Lorraine Dumont all of Geraldton and Marie-Berthe Plourde of Rouyn. Predeceased by his brother Alphonse. Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his many in-laws, nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at the CO-OPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, 222 Lasalle Blvd. E. (at Notre-Dame), Sudbury, Wednesday from 2-5 and 7-9:30 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be held Thursday, August 21, 2003 at 9:00 a.m. in St. Eugene Church, Sudbury. Donations, in his memory, can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, the Heart and Soul Foundation or to the Charity of your choice. MUNRO, Leo Denis In loving memory of Leo Denis Munro, 63 years, of Warren, who passed away Friday, May 23rd, 2003 at Deer Lake, Warren. He was born in Warren and married Phyllis (Munro) in 1975 in Sudbury. A life resident of Warren he was a welder at INCO retiring in 1994 with 30 years service. An avid outdoorsman he enjoyed hunting, fishing and trapping. He spent many happy times at his camp on Lake Nipissing. Always quick to help others, Leo had a wonderful sense of humour which he generously shared with others. Leo was a very creative person whose inventions especially in wood processing were most impressive and sought out by others. Beloved husband of Phyllis (Munro) Munro of Warren. Cherished son of Wilbert Munro of Warren and the late Thelma (Harris) Munro predeceased. Loving brother of Cecil (wife Dawna) and Milton both of Warren. Dear uncle of Kirk and Eve and great uncle of Trenton and Zander. Memorial Service in the Warren Golden Age Club Hall, Tuesday, May 27th, 2003 at 7 p.m. Cremation at the Park Lawn Crematorium. Dear daughter of the late Andrew and MaryLouise (Roy) Trudeau. Loving mother of Thomas (wife Lillian) of Surrey, BC, Leonard (wife Theresa), Louis (wife Beverly), James (friend Mary) and Rosemary Enosse (Clifford) all of Wikwemikong, Mary Ann (Mrs. Boniface Corbiere) of Lively and the late Marina, Lawrence, Eugene and Allen. Will be sadly missed by 18 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. Predeceased by 1 grandson and 2 great grandchildren. Dear sister of Albert Roy of Toronto and the late Fred Roy, Clara Pangowish and Frances Roy. Dear aunt of Urban Oshkawbewisenis, and Roland and Eric Pangowish.
