Ryan Gerald Vincent
Peacefully at Gateway Haven Nursing Home, Wiarton on Saturday December 6th, 2003. Gerald Ryan spent the last year in Gateway Haven with his wife of sixty two years Helen Irene (McGowan) Ryan after moving from Toronto. Lovingly remembered by his daughter Patricia Merriam and her husband Cliffton (Kipp) of Lower Buckhorn just north of Peterborough and his son Doug Ryan and his wife Roberta of Wiarton. Special grandfather of Derek, Alicia, Chris, and one great granchild Peyton. Gerald was the only child of the late Mary and Elmer Ryan. A service to celebrate the life of Gerald Ryan will be held at Gateway Haven Nursing Home 671 Frank Street, Wiarton on Wednesday December 17, 2003 at 3:00 PM with Father Steve LaCroix officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment , Holy Cross cemetery , Toronto. Donations to Friends of Gateway would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements entrusted to the George Funeral Home, Wiarton.

Plumb Leila Johnnina
Suddenly at the Wiarton Hospital on Saturday January 24, 2004. Leila (Westgate) Plumb of Miller Lake in her 76th year. Beloved wife of the Late Raymond Plumb. Dear mother of Raywood and his wife Bonnie of Tobermory. Cherished grandmother of Raymond John (R.J.) and Jordan Cassidy. Also survived by one brother Manvil (Gladys) Westgate of Watford; one sister Pearl (Donald) Wright of Astorville and sister-in-law Lillian of Watford. Predeceased by two brothers Ken and Archie. The family will receive friends at the Davidson Chapel, 71 Main Street, Lion's Head on Tuesday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM. Thence to the Denning Bros. Funeral Home, 32 Metcalfe Street W, Strathroy for visitation on Wednesday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 PM. The funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home onThursday January 29th at 11:00 AM. Interment , Arkona cemetery , Arkona. In Lieu of flowers, donations to the Bruce Peninsula Health Services or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.

Suddenly at the Wiarton Hospital on Saturday January 24th, 2004. Gary Petrie of Colpoy's Bay in his 67th year. Beloved husband of Joanne (Scott) Petrie. Loving son of Clara (Bender) and the late Emerson Petrie. Dear father of Stephen and his wife Mitzi of Kingsville; Shannon Bull of Blakefield; Vickie and her husband Dan Koebel; Mike and his wife Liz; and Valerie and her husband Heinz Lindlau all of Kitchener. Special grampa of David, Brad, Lindsay, Jordan, Chantelle, Sean, Ashley, Jason, Jennifer, Jessie, Nicki, Sara, and great grampa of Mikayla and Kya-Lynn. Brother of Shirley Thomas of London; Ken (Linda) of Shakespeare; Fred (Edythe) of Motherwell; Helen Prike of Waterloo; Lois (John) Schmidt; Earl (Josephine); Marlene (Ed) Cassidy all of Sauble Beach; Robert of Hanover; Dennis (Karen) of Stratford; and Diane (Frank) Lenz of Colpoy's Bay. Also survived by his mother-in-law Doreen Sequin of Wiarton. Predeceased by one daughter Lori Lynn, two sisters Marion Feehan, Donna Zehr, and one brother Bud. The family will receive friends at the George Funeral Home 430 Mary Street, Wiarton on Monday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM. The funeral service will be conducted from the funeral home on Tuesday January 27th at 2:00 PM with Rev. Ed Laksmanis officiating. Spring interment Colpoy's Bay cemetery. Matthews Elizabeth Ann Jean Betty
At St. Joseph's Hospital in her 79th year. Predeceased by husband Howard. Dearly loved by sons Mark and wife Joanne Kohut, Burt and wife Sandy Gummeson and Glenn Matthews. Fondly remembered by brother Tom Stead and sister Isobel Tennant. Beloved Grandma of Kathleen and Emily Matthews. Predeceased by sister Winnifred Martin and brother Harold Stead. Friends will be received by the family on Sunday January 18 from 2:00 t0 4:00 pm at the Cattel, Eaton and Chambers Funeral Home, 53 Main Street Dundas. Elizabeth will return to her hometown of Wiarton where there will be visitation on Sunday, January 25th from 2:00 to 4:00 PM. at the George Funeral Home, 430 Mary Street. Service of Celebration at Bayview cemetery , Wiarton Saturday June 5th at 2:00 PM. Expressions of sympathy to the Wiarton Hospital or Wellwood Resource Centre would be appreciated by the family.

Mason William Alderson Bill
Peacefully at the Wiarton Hospital on Wednesday January 28th 2004. Bill Mason of Colpoy's Bay in his 77th year. Beloved husband of Eleanor (Caudle) Mason. Dear father of Beverly and her husband Gord Mellow of Chatham; Patricia and her husband Roger Parsons of Wiarton; Virginia Savoie and her friend Alfred Chapman of Toronto; and David and his friend Lisa of Georgetown. Special grandpa of Stacy Mellow, Ryan Savoie, Brent Savoie, Michael Michaude, Kurtis Mason, Emily Mason and great grampa of Isobelle and Nathaniel Michaude. Brother of Doug (Donna), Jim (Ada) all of Walkerton, Peter (Pat) of Oshawa, Gail (Deb) Brough of Wiarton, Rowena (Bill) Leney of Stratford, Judy (Darryl) Hannigan of Waterloo, and Kirk (Michelle) of Victoria B.C. Brother-in-law of Douglas (Charlotte) Caudle of Ottawa and Phyllis (Sidney) Richardson of Belleville. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by one sister Faye Mason and one brother in infancy Thomas Mason. At Bill's request cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held in the spring. Interment of cremated remains in Colpoy's Bay cemetery. Kalbfleisch Frederick Edwin
After a lengthy illness, with his daughter Cathy by his side, at the Wiarton Hospital on Tuesday December 16th, 2003. Fred Kalbfleisch of Colpoy's Bay in his 80th year. Fred will be sadly missed by: his daughters, Catherine and her husband Donald Graham of Colpoy's Bay, Patricia Sullivan of Chemainus, BC and Pamela and her husband Bruce Lang of Mission, BC, his grandchildren; Chris, Angela, Suzanne, Katherine, Kailey, Barrie and Donald, and by his great-grandhchildren, Dylan and Hannah. Lovingly remembered by his sisters, Eveleen Hillier of Point Edward, Isabell Davy of Brantford and Marjorie Belanger of Stratford. Fred was predeceased by his parents Lena (Arnold) and Edwin, wife Laura (Hopton), sister Rheta Rutherford, brother Wallace, and son-in-law Frank Sullivan. Fred was a boat builder, well known in the area for his wooden boats. He was employed with Ontario Hydro, past-president of the Lion's Club and a member of the Cedar Lodge # 396 A.F. & A.M., Wiarton. The family will receive friends at The George Funeral Home, 430 Mary Street, Wiarton on Friday evening from 7 - 9 PM. The funeral service will be conducted from the funeral home on Saturday, December 20th at 12 noon with Rev. Ed Laksmanis officiating. Spring Interment , Colpoy's Bay cemetery. Cedar Lodge # 396 A.F. & A.M. will hold a memorial service at the funeral home on Friday evening at 6:45 PM. In memory of Fred, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.

Suddenly at his residence on Tuesday February 3, 2004. Wayne Jones of R.R.# 1 Shallow Lake. Survived by his partner, soul mate and best friend Leeann Eamer. Dear father of Maurice Jones of London and Elizabeth Jones of Oliphant. Also survived by Leeann's children Rebecca Smith and Isaac and Melanie Eamer. Grandfather of Brittany and Jessie Jones and Tristan Eamer. Also survived by brothers C.J., Donald, Edward, Richard, Kenneth, Morley and sisters Leona, Jenna and Trudy. Predeceased by brother Gerald. The family will receive friends at the Maadookii Centre, Cape Croker on Thursday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM. The funeral service will be conducted from the Cape Croker United Church, Cape Croker on Friday February 6th at 2:00 PM. with Rev. Maggie McLeod officiating. Cremation to follow. Campbell Allan Douglas Colin
Suddenly at the Lion's Head Hospital on Monday February 2, 2004. Allan Campbell of Stokes Bay in his 60th year. Son of the Late Harold and Dorothy Campbell. Beloved husband of Beverley. Dear father of Robert; Maryanne; Doug; Shelly; Melody; Brad; Amber and Kenneth. Cherished grandfather of Brianna, Cody, Sonia, Ashley, Robert's children and Maryanne's children. Predeceased by three daughters and one son in 1973, one sister Majorie Jean and three brothers James, Harold and Robert. The family will receive friends at the Davidson Chapel, 71 Main Street, Lion's Head on Thursday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM. Suddenly at the Wiarton Hospital on Wednesday February 4, 2004. Peter Bulmer of Mallory Beach in his 71st year. Beloved husband of Joan (Fielding) Bulmer. Dear brother of Geoffrey of England. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Peter was a member of the Owen Sound Squadron of Canadian Power & Sail; Owen Sound Camera Club; and the F.O.T.A. & C.O.P.A. Squad 51 volunteer group. A funeral service will be conducted at the George Funeral Home 430 Mary Street, Wiarton on Sunday February 8th at 2:00 PM with Rev. Ed Laksmanis officiating. Visitation one hour prior to service. Cremation to follow. Donations to the Arthritic Society or the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.

Willis Elizabeth Jean
Peacefully, at Meaford Long Term Care Center on Friday January 2nd, 2004. Jean (Thompson) Willis in her 84th year. Predeceased by her husbands, Morgan Brady and Albert Willis. Dearly loved by her children and stepchildren: Mary Arnold (Harvey) of Meaford, Ron Brady (Pat) of Simcoe, Dennis Brady (Bonnie) of Owen Sound, Barry Willis (Brenda) and Donna Hardman (Glenn), all of Calgary, AB, Don Willis (Shannon) of Owen Sound, Wanda Willis of Windsor, Wilda Willis of Toronto and Wayne Willis of Penticton, BC. Lovingly remembered by 19 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. Sadly missied by siblings: Cecil Smith, Florence McCartney of Wiarton, Agnes McCartney of Chatsworth, Gordon Smith of Stevensville, Mervin Smith of Whitefish, Lee Ramshaw of Ohio and Irene Smith of Chatsworth. The family will receive friends at the George Funeral Home, 430 Mary Street, Wiarton on Monday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 pm. Solomon Franklin Eugene Frank Jr
Peacefully at his residence on Tuesday December 2, 2003. Frank Solomon Jr. of Cape Croker in his 36th year. Beloved husband of Tanya (McInnis) Solomon. Dear father of Allen; Thomas and Darcy all at home. Son of Jackie (Keeshig) and Frank Solomon of Cape Croker. Brother of Jon (Janna) Solomon and Gene Solomon both of Cape Croker. Also survived by five nephews Theron, Malackee, Maverick, Nyden and Nicholas. Son in law of Albert and Marie McInnis of Wiarton and brother in law of Paul (Stephanie) McInnis of Kitchener. Predeceased by one sister Eva Marie. The family will receive friends at the home of Frank and Jackie Solomon, Cape Croker on Wednesday from 7:00 to 9:00 pm and Thursday 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 pm. The funeral mass will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church Cape, Croker on Friday December 5th at 11:00 am. Interment Little Port Elgin cemetery , Cape Croker. Peacefully at the Gateway Nursing Home, Wiarton on Sunday January 11, 2004. Cecil Delmar Robbins of Miller Lake in his 85th year. 'Del' was a Veteran of W.W. 11. Predeceased by Minerva Robbins and Eileen Martindale. Dear father of Gordon (Mary) of Wiarton; Russ (Aletha) of Miller Lake; Elinor (Wayne) Lang of Mississauga; Joy (Darryl) Chapple of Nakina; Randy (Goldie) of Pike Bay; Millie Porter (Jim Copp) of Hepworth and Tom (Holly) of Nakina. Step father of Leslie Smith and Jim Martindale both of Lion's Head. Brother of Gertie Holmes of Chesley, Gordon Robbins of Miller Lake and Vera Scott of Collingwood. Also survived by eighteen grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Predeceased by four brothers and two sisters. The family will receive friends at the Davidson Chapel, 71 Main Street, Lion's Head on Tuesday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM.
