Son of Mildred McGregor and the late Ken McGregor and son-in-law of Lorraine and the late Clarence Blacklock all of Wiarton. Brother of David and his wife Donna of Allenford; Bob and his wife Cathy of Collingwood; Stephen and his wife Cathy of Tottenham; and Janice and her husband Randy Williamson of Berford Lake. Step brother of Doug Taylor of Flesherton and Mary Elizabeth and her husband Ron Moore of Beaton. Suddenly, at Owen Sound Hospital on Thursday November 27th, 2003. Jean (Phillips) Lamka of Wiarton in her 60th year. Jean will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Ed; her mother, Ellen Phillips of Kitchener; her children, Donna and her friend Brad Debeau of Kitchener, Rodney of Baden and Shelley and her friend Tim O'Brien of Kitchener, and by her 7 grandchildren. Jean will be sadly missed by her best friend Eileen O'Connell and especially by her dearly loved walking partner Sandy. She will be reunited with her father Earl, her brother Doug and her nephews Lyle and Steven. As was Jean's wish, cremation has taken place. Formerly of Mississauga, Retired Auto Shop Teacher at New Toronto Secondary School.
It is with a deep sense of loss that Ken's family announce his sudden death, at his home in Lion's Head, on Friday January 2, 2003. He was in his 68th year. Ken's love and companionship will be greatly missed by his adoring wife Jacqueline 'Jacqui' (Smith). His presence will continue to live on in the hearts of his children; Julia and husband Alan Matthews of Cambridge, Jeff and wife Monica of Kitchener, and twins, Anna & Mary, both of Mississauga. Ken was a good friend to his stepsons, Scott (Kelley) Chowen and Eric (Joanne) Shouldice. Proud 'Grampa Ken' to Heather and Alexander Matthews, Victoria and Samuel Gardiner, Austin & Dustin Chowen, Carver and Baby X (yet to arrive) Shouldice. Remembered fondly by his children's mother Ruth Browse. Sadly missed by his surviving brother, Murray Gardiner of Shelbourne. Ken will be remembered by a wide circle of friends made through his longtime membership with the Brampton Flying Club. Friends will be received at the Davidson Chapel, 71 Main Street, Lion's Head on Monday from 7-9 pm. Funeral celebration to be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, January 6th at 2:00 pm, with Rev. Peter Longmore officiating. The Lion's Head Lion's Club will hold a memorial service at the funeral home on Monday evening at 6:30 pm. As the result of an automobile accident on Friday December 19, 2003 in her 35th year. Cherished daughter of Bruce and Judey (Porter) Buckland of Wiarton. Beloved sister of Jeff and his wife Kim of St. Mary's. Dear granddaughter of Helen and Bob Porter of Wiarton. Special niece of Ruth and Glenn Beacock, Bob and Susan Porter, Beulah and Herb Wright, Doug and Laurie Buckland and Gord and Marg Buckland and their families. Nancy was well known for her talent as a teacher, conductor and choir member and will be dearly missed by her friends, colleagues and students who shared her love of music.
