Poucher Mel

Suddenly at Hope Bay, Ontario on Friday June 18th, 2004. Professor Emeritus (Civil Engineering) Mellor Procter Poucher, age 75, dear husband of Pat Poucher (Tillson). Devoted father of Carol and her husband Fred Urbshott of Purple Valley; John and his wife Karen Arts of Markham and Michele and her husband Peter Cho of Mississauga. Special grandfather of Taylor Urbshott, Zoe Poucher, Austin and Trisha Cho. Beloved brother of Heather Merle Blythe (Poucher) of Toronto. The family will receive friends at the George Funeral Home, 430 Mary Street, Wiarton on Friday June 25th from 7:00 to 9:00 PM. The funeral service will be conducted from the funeral home on Saturday June 26th at 1:00 PM. Cremation to follow. A reception at the Wiarton Curling Club, 563 George Street ,Wiarton will follow the service. If you wish donations to the new Peninsula Shores School in Wiarton or the needed purchase of a MRI machine for the Owen Sound Hospital would be appreciated by Mel's family.

McArthur Wilbert H.

Peacefully at Gateway Haven Nursing Home, Wiarton on Friday September 17, 2004. Wilbert McArthur of Wiarton in his 96th year. Predeceased by his parents Caroline (Bestward) and Hugh McArthur, four brothers Royal, Samuel, Hughie, Alvin and five sisters Bella Hofstrand, Lena Potter, Ruby Norton, Barbara France and Leona Rouse.Wilbert is survived by several nieces and nephews and special friend Pat Hepburn. A funeral service for Wilbert McArthur will held at Gateway Haven Nursing Home, 671 Frank Street, Wiarton on Monday September 20th at 1:00 pm with Pastor Brad Mittleholtz officiating.Visitation one hour prior to the time of service. Interment Eastnor cemetery , Lion's Head. Donations to Friends of Gateway would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements entrusted to the George Funeral Home, Wiarton.

Maynard Kenneth Neilson

At the Lion's Head Hospital on Saturday July 31, 2004. Ken Maynard of Lion's Head in his 85th year. Beloved husband of Molly (Marshall) Maynard of Lion's Head. Dear father of Stephen of Burlington. Grandfather of Matthew, Stephanie and great grandfather of Angelina. Predeceased by three brothers Edward, Philip and Cedric. The funeral service will be conducted from the Davidson Chapel, 71 Main Street, Lion's Head on Tuesday August 3rd at 2:00 pm with Rev. Norman Nixon and Pastor Chris Mirrlees officiating. Visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment Eastnor cemetery , Lion's Head. Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the C.N.I.B. would be appreciated by the family.

Peacefully at the Southampton Hospital on Friday July 30th, 2004. Anne (McCutcheon) Liverance of Pike Bay in her 63rd year. Dear daughter of Christena (McLay) and the late Earlby McCutcheon. Beloved wife of Roy Liverance. Loving mother of Christa and her husband Bruce Stewart of Pike Bay; Earlby Liverance of Bradford; and Cathy and her husband Dave Gibbons of Southampton. Special grandmother of Bob (Michelle), Kelly, Lacey, Jordon, and Robert. Sister of Allan and his wife Betty and Bill and his wife Evelyn all of Owen Sound. Daughter-in-law of Venus Liverance of Owen Sound. Predeceased by one sister Marybell Walker. The family will receive friends at the Davidson Chapel 71 Main Street, Lion's Head on Saturday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 PM. The funeral service will be conducted from Bethel Missionary Church 18 Ferndale Road, Lion's Head on Sunday August 1st 2004 at 3:00 PM with Rev. Norma McLeod officiating. Interment , Eastnor cemetery , Lion's Head. Donations to the Southampton Hospital Palliative Care Unit 2 East would be appreciated by the family.

Peacefully at the Wiarton Hospital on Thursday September 2nd, 2004. Bernard Lacroix of Hepworth in his 74th year. Beloved husband of Irmgard (Bernutz) Lacroix. Dear father of Lynne and her husband Robert White of Hudson Heights, Quebec; Marc and his wife Jill of Richford, Vermont; and step father of Petra and her husband Carsten Schubert of Germany. Special grandfather of Kelly, Evan, Renee, and Daniel. Brother of Hubert and his wife Betty of Los Angeles, California. Uncle of Jacque, Christopher, and Tony. Also remembered by Jean (Smith) Lacroix. At Bernard's request cremation has taken place. Donations to the Parkinsons Foundation would be appreciated by the family. Warder Walter Charlie

Peacefully at the Golden Dawn Nursing Home, Lion's Head on Thursday August 19, 2004. Charlie Warder of Lion's Head in his 87th year. Son of the Late Lillie (Pyke) and Walter Warder. Dear brother of Carman (Florence) Warder of Lion's Head and Crawford of Owen Sound. Brother in law of Frances Warder, Freida Warder and Carman White all of Lion's Head. Treasured uncle of several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by two brothers Harvey and Maitland, two sisters Violet Warder and Nita White and one sister in law Elyse Warder. Charlie (Chuck) will be sadly missed by his extended family at the Golden Dawn Nursing Home. The family will receive friends at the Davidson Chapel, 71 Main Street, Lion's Head on Saturday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 PM. The funeral service will be conducted from the Central United Church, Lion's Head on Sunday August 22nd at 2:00 PM with Rev. Audrey Brown officiating. Interment Eastnor cemetery , Lion's Head. Donations to the Golden Dawn Nursing Home or the Lion's Head Hospital would be appreciated by the family.

Reis Phyllis Gwendolyn Gwen

Peacefully at the Wiarton Hospital on Friday December 24th, 2004. Gwen (Paskall) Reis of Wiarton in her 92nd year. Beloved wife of the late Harry Reis (1980). Dear mother of Brian and his wife Wendy of Wiarton. Special grandmother of Kim and his wife Karen of Howdenvale; Steve and his wife Kelly of Sevierville, Tennessee; Tami Lynne and her husband Jack Wears of Fairfax Station, Virginia and one great grandson Chandler. Predeceased by one sister Kathleen Holms. At Gwen's request cremation has taken place. A memorial service of remembrance will be conducted at the Community of Christ Church, 495 Berford Street, Wiarton on Monday December 27th at 2:00 pm. Donations to the Community of Christ Church or the Wiarton Hospital would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements entrusted to the George Funeral Home, Wiarton.

Dear father of Paul and his wife Parr; Debbie Studiman and her husband Ken and Lorrie Richardson and her partner John Curtis all of Cambridge. Loving papa of eight grandchildren. Brother of Norman (Linda) of Cambridge and brother in law of Theron Howe of Purple Valley. Predeceased by his parents Albert and Gladys Richardson, one sister Irene Howe and one brother Howard. Father of Sharon and her husband Stan Weir of Thamesford; Step father of Art (Carla) VanDeByl of Tobermory; Dick (Debbie) VanDeByl of Bracebridge; Albert (Joan) VanDeByl; Clarence VanDeByl; Morris VanDeByl; and John VanDeByl all of Woodstock. Special grandfather of Kobi, and Ben Watson. At John's request cremation has taken place. Donations to the Golden Dawn Nursing Home would be appreciated. Suddenly at the Owen Sound Hospital on Monday November 22, 2004. Chuck Sloat of Tobermory is his 70th year. Beloved husband of Maureen (Repa) Sloat. Dear father of Cathy Sloat (Roger Charnock) of Toronto. Brother of Barbara Manzi of Columbus, Ohio, Wanda (Bill) Strosberg of Tobermory, Caroline Scott of Cantley, Quebec and Robert Sloat of Fredericton, New Brunswick. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Best friend of Mica, his dog. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Chuck's Life will be held at the Tobermory United Church, 9 Brock Street, Tobermory on Thursday November 25th at 2:00 pm with visitation one hour prior to service. Donations to the Tobermory Clinic or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements entrusted to the George Funeral Home, Wiarton.
