Born in Nijmegen, The Netherlands, in 1924, daughter of the late Maria (Bloemberg) and Jan Siebers, she came to Canada in 1946 and worked for Zellers for 18 years. She was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Women's League. She will be sadly missed by her children, Betty and her husband Peter Huys of Thamesville, Sandra Allemeersch of Ailsa Craig, Richard and his wife Barb Allemeersch of Windsor, Randy and his wife Colette Allemeersch of Pain Court, and Susan and her husband Randy Parker of Chatham; by 12 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; and by a sister, Bep and her husband Hank Hoogveld of The Netherlands. She is predeceased by a grandson, Gregory Allemeersch; by a great-grandson, Joseph Steven Van Heule; and a brother, Jan Siebers (1999). CARRINGTON: At the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Public General campus, on Thursday, Sept. 10, 1999, Bertram Edwin Leroy Carrington of Chatham, beloved husband of Rudy Belle (Carter), at age 82. Born in Barbados in 1917, he came to Canada in 1946 and was a tailor and a veteran, having served with the British Infrantry in the Second World War, and was a member of Br. 28 of the Royal Canadian Legion. He will be sadly missed by his five sons, Alonzo of Kitchener, Steven and his wife Jan of Nova Scotia, Philip and his wife Wendy, Stanley and his wife Victoria, and "Benson" James, all of Chatham; by 12 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; by a sister, June Carrington of New York City; and by a brother, Vivien Carrington of Red Hills, Jamaica; and by a special army friend, Wilbert Holder of Montreal. SOULLIERE: Sister Margaret Soulliere, formerly known as Mother Mary Adele (Mary Margaret), entered Eternal Life on Thursday, Nov. 4, 1999 at Ursuline Convent, Chatham. Born in Windsor 87 years ago, she was the daughter of the late Albert Joseph Soulliere and Elmire Fields. Sister Margaret was in the 69th year of her life as an Ursuline Religious of the Diocese of London. She lived her religious life as a dedicated homemaker in Dublin, Mount Carmel, "The Pines", Brescia College, London and in St. Ignace, Mich. She also worked with children at Glengarda, Windsor. She is survived by a sister, Marion Deschamps. Predeceased by a brother, Francis Xavier; and by sisters, Theresa Soulliere, Madeline Lessard and Ida Laforet. Visitation was held at The Pines on Friday, with evening prayer at 7:30 p.m. in Holy Family Chapel. The Mass of Resurrection was celebrated on Saturday, Nov. 6, 1999 at 10 a.m. in Holy Family Chapel, 64 Ursuline Ave., Chatham. Interment was in St. Anthony's cemetery.
