Mitchell Allan Ferguson
October 5, 1994 - December 12, 2008

Ferguson, Mitchell Allan – Suddenly as the result of a tobogganing accident while playing with friends after school. Mitchell, taken from us at the tender young age of 14, is the only son of Darryl and Robin and brother to big sister Andrea. Grandson of Jim and Gail Ferguson and the late Leonard and Diane Cooper. Mitchell is part of a large family including Aunt Chris Cooper, Uncles Mike and Marc Ferguson, Uncle Kevin and Donna Ferguson, Uncle Brian and Aunt Gabia Ferguson, Uncle Dave and Aunt Rhonda Cunningham, and Aunt Leeann Jones. Mitchell is the first cousin to Jason, Sarah, Marty, Taylor and Carly Cunningham, Zach and Cody Ferguson, Joshua and Shannon Ferguson and Reanne Jordachi. He is survived by many great-aunts and great-uncles, cousins, and his best buddy Isaac Hall and the boys. To know Mitchell was to love him. He was a beautiful and genuine soul. Family came first for him and every member of his family knew they had his love. He gave it unconditionally. He was his dad's trucking buddy and together during his summer break, they logged thousand of miles together. He was the love of his mom’s life and when his dad was away he was the man of the house looking after his mother and sister. He had a typical relationship with Andrea but she loved him more than anything. Mitchell’s greatest gift was his ability to make everyone around him laugh. He has left us with so many memories and classic one-liners to keep us laughing for years to come. Mitchell was a trombone player and back-up drummer for the Colborne Public School Jazz Band. He was looking forward to a band trip to Montreal in April. It is the family’s request that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in Mitchell’s memory to Kawartha Pine Ridge District School Board Re: Colborne Jazz Band to help offset the costs of this trip for his band mates. Visitation will be held on Friday, December 19th, 2-4pm and 7-9pm at MacCoubrey Funeral Home, Colborne. Funeral to take place on Saturday, December 20th, 2:00pm at Colborne United Church. Mitchell would want to be comforting you now in your grief. He wants you to know its okay. We are all better for knowing and loving Mitch. He blessed our lives. We will miss him terribly.
