Fobert, Peter Joseph

At his home in Paisley, on Monday, January 28th, 2002, in his 58th year, Peter Fobert of Paisley. Beloved husband of the former Shirley Langford. Dear father of Terry and his friend Patricia of Owen Sound, and Tammy and her husband Michael Lake of Paisley. Loving grandfather of Nicole, Tiffany, Sarah, Brittany, Justin and Allison. Special grandpa of Dominic and Devon. He is also survived by six brothers, two sisters and their families. He is predeceased by his parents, Roy and Jean Fobert and by his brother George.

Friends may call at the W. Kent Milroy Paisley Chapel, 216 Queen St. S., Paisley, on Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be conducted in the chapel on Friday at 2:00 p.m. with the Rev. Gordon Williams officiating.

Interment Starkvale cemetery.

Memorial contributions to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.

Planz, John Philipp

John died suddenly in London, on Monday, January 28th, 2002, at the age of 47 years. He was a loving husband and father who will be deeply missed by his wife the former Debbie Butler, his sons, Josh and Phil and his daughter, Kate. John is survived by his mother Dorothy of Kitchener, his sister Linda Rusk and her husband Brian, and their sons Christopher and David, of Waterloo. He is predeceased by his father Philipp Planz.

John received his LLB from the University of Western Ontario in 1980, was called to the Bar in 1982 and practiced law in Port Elgin, Ontario for 20 years. He was happiest with Deb on their sailboat and enjoyed the close relationships he had with his family and friends. John loved life and put his heart into living it. He was an enthusiastic and loyal supporter of his three kids in all their endeavors.

A funeral service will be held in the Port Elgin United Church, 840 Bruce St., Port Elgin, on Friday at 2:00 p.m. Following the funeral service the family will receive friends at the Windspire Inn, 276 Mill Street, Port Elgin.

In keeping with John’s commitment to his community, donations in his memory may be made to the Saugeen Shores Medical Centre Building Fund, through the W. Kent Milroy Port Elgin Chapel, 510 Mill St., Port Elgin, 519-832-2222.

Osbaldeston, Ronald

At the Grey Bruce Health Services, Southampton, on Friday, January 18th, 2002 in his 64th year, Ronald Osbaldeston of Paisley. Beloved husband of the former Louise Olson. Dear father of Rhonda McNicoll and Gloria Osbaldeston, both of Hamilton, and Patricia and Devon Osbaldeston, both of Paisley. Stepfather of Donald Lembke of Kitchener. Grandfather of Daniel and Steven McNicoll.

Friends may call at the W. Kent Milroy Paisley Chapel, 216 Queen St. S., Paisley, on Sunday afternoon from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. Funeral service will be conducted in the chapel on Monday at 2:00 p.m. with the Rev. Murray Rounding officiating.

MacDonald, Margaret Francis

At Brucelea Haven, Walkerton on Friday, January 18th, 2002, in her 87th year, the former Margaret Caskanette, formerly of Bronte, (Oakville). Wife of the late Ivan MacDonald. Mother of James of Southampton, Garfield and William and his wife Deborah all of Burlington and Robert of Port Elgin. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and several great grandchildren, one brother and two sisters. Predeceased by one brother and seven sisters.

A graveside service will be held at St. Jude’s cemetery , Lakeshore Road W, Oakville, west of Kerr Street, on Tuesday, January 22nd, 2002 at 2.00 p.m.,

At Elgin Abbey Nursing Home, Chesley, on Thursday, January 10th, 2002, in her 91st year, the former Stella Parker of Paisley. Beloved wife of the late Stewart Karcher. Dear mother of Wilma and her husband the late Robert McArthur of Port Elgin, Diane and her husband Ron Gottschalk, William and his wife Mairi, and Ed and his wife Shirley, all of Paisley. Grandmother of Lori, Heather, Paul, Patricia, Chris, Steven, Brad, Teresa, Kory and Julia. Great-grandmother of Ashley, Mairi Katherine, Callum, Logan, Alisha & Tyler. Sister of Minnie Swick of Port Elgin. She is predeceased by her brother-in-law Cliff Swick.

Brother of Nelson and his wife Shirley, Ron and his wife Karen, all of Calgary, and Kay and her husband Mel Timms of Goderich. Dear friend and companion of Muriel Allen of Owen Sound and her family. He is also survived by nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his brother James Young.

Coughlan, Erich

Suddenly as the result of an accident on Wednesday, January 9th, 2002, at the age of 19, Erich Coughlan of Port Elgin. First born and loving son of Mike and Christine Coughlan of Port Elgin. Beloved brother who will be deeply missed by Jacob, Brennan and Shantel all at home. Survived by Gramma Sheelah Coughlan, and Oma and Opa, Erika and Tony Brockmann, all of London. He will also be missed by his many aunts, uncles, cousins and special friends. He is predeceased by his Grandpa Craig Coughlan, Ur-Oma Hildegard Scholtmann, and Granny Mary Hetherington.

Sister-in-law of Marguerite Brannick of Port Elgin. Aunt of Janice Storms of Lindsay, Irene and her husband Murray Howe of Bruce Township and Ann Brannick of Port Elgin. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews of the Brown family. She is predeceased by her brothers, William, Theodore “Pete”, Lloyd and Walter Brannick, and by her sister Doreen in infancy.

Mary is predeceased by two brothers Ed and Neil Brown, and by one sister Eleanor Jackman.
