Born April 23rd, 1920 in Halifax, Nova Scotia died May 28th, 2003 in Southampton, Ontario. Predeceased by his wife Claire. Dear father of Kristanne. Will be missed by nephews and nieces Gary, Anne, Leslie, and Drew, and a host of friends.
A memorial service will be conducted at the W. Kent Milroy Port Elgin Chapel, 510 Mill St., Port Elgin, on Saturday, June 7th, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Bob Johnson officiating.

At the Grey Bruce Health Services, Southampton, on Tuesday, May 27th, 2003 in her 86th year, the former Margaret Dawson of Port Elgin. Wife of the late James Chambers. Daughter of the late Frank and May Dawson. Mother of Marlene Searle of Paris, and Allan and his wife Margaret of Wasaga Beach. She is also survived by six grandchildren; Robert Sumpton, Shirley and her husband Rob Lawlor, Derick Searle and his wife Kelly, Karen and her husband Chris Warren, Jeffrey Chambers and his wife Michelle, and Susan Chambers and her friend Ian Rankin, three great-grandchildren Bradley and Jason Lawlor, and Tracy Searle, and by several nieces and nephews. Sister of Walter and his wife Joyce of Trail, B.C. and the late Robert Dawson.

At Park Lane Terrace Nursing Home, Paris on Monday, May 19th, 2003 at the age of 86 years, the former Minnie Parker of Port Elgin. Wife of the late Clifford Swick, Father of Iva and Joe Teslak of Brantford, Bill and Isabelle Swick of Virginia, Joe and Millie Swick of Southampton, Edna Surridge of Port Colborne, and Sherry and Garry Winnitoy of Brantford. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, and thirteen great-grandchildren. She is predeceased by her sister Stella Karcher, and her son-in-law Mervin Surridge.

Kollontay, Kashmier
Suddenly in Toronto on Saturday, May 3rd, 2003 in his 55th year. Kashmier was a graduate of Ryerson University and a long time employee of the CBC. He will be sadly missed by his mother Sophia, brother Stanley and his wife Ann of Southampton, sisters Mary and her husband Lee Stokley of London, Joanne Howe of Port Elgin, Krystyna Kollontay and her friend Jéan of Toronto. He was a special uncle to Jeffery, Kelly, Marnie, Michelle, Quinn, and Cara Beth. Companion to Bob the dog. Predeceased by his father John (1982) and brother-in-law Jack Howe (1999). A good friend to many, Kashmier will be remembered for his sense of humour, his love of sports, good food and wine.
