Peacefully, surrounded by her loving daughters, at Bluewater Health, C.E.E, Site, Petrolia, on Saturday, November 12, 2005. Josephine Marie “Jody” Tait (nee White) of Petrolia, in her 91st year. Predeceased by her husband, Francis (1986), daughter, Elizabeth Thompson (1976), son Robert (1996) and a granddaughter, Laura Froud (1996). Also predeceased by her parents Concetta Sabatino and Patrick Bianco (White), her sisters, Isabelle Dever, Marguerite Quackenbush, Anne Merkley and brother Dominic White. Loving mother to Diane and Robin Creeden of Peterborough, Patricia and John Froud of St. Marys and Mary Jo and Barry Edgar of Petrolia. Also survived by her son-in-law, Delmar Thompson and his wife Karen of Petrolia and her daughter-in-law Pat Tait Mitro and her husband Matt of Sarnia. Also survived by her grandchildren, Jennifer, Paul (Jennifer) and Leslie Creeden, Heather, Jeffrey and Jason Thompson, Geordie and Melissa (Mark) Tait, Julie (Sean), Matthew and Janet Froud, Christopher (Danielle), Gregory, Scott and Lindsay Edgar and her great grandchildren, Abigail and Jacob Creeden. Mrs. Tait was a lifetime member of St. Philip’s C.W.L. Jody was endeared to many, young and old, through her presence and her kindness. Remembered by many for her commitment to family and community. Fairbank (1982) and his wife Jean (1998). Hospital Auxiliary, the Margaret Stokes Chapter of the I.O.D.E., a founding member Petrolia Minor Hockey Mothers and a avid supporter of Petrolia Minor Sports and as the founder and coordinator of the community’s Christmas for Everyone program for 25 years.
