She was an active volunteer in her community with Meals on Wheels, Women of Wainfleet, The Wainfleet Strategic Planning Committee and the Heart & Stroke Foundation. Dianne loved her art and photography classes with her sister in Haliburton. She attended Cinefest, Showboat Theatre and the Authors Series at Roselawn. She spent hours sketching, painting and capturing life's beauty in her photographs and artwork. As a Grandma she showered her grandchildren with unconditional love and she will be sadly missed by them. Dianne lived every moment of her life for those she loved, putting their needs ahead of her own. married for 34 years to her best friend Jim and "Super Mom" for 32 years to her daughters. She has touched the lives of many people in many ways and the world is a better place because she was in it. It is with sadness that the passing of Archie at the Woolcott Wing at Welland Hospital, on Tuesday, December 2nd, 2003 is announced. He is predeceased by his loving parents Arnold and Esther. He is also predeceased by his loving wife Dorothy (1991), and brothers Harold, Leo, Gordon and sisters Frieda and Irva. Archie is survived by brother-in-law Gerald Costen (Margaret), sister-in-law Cora Williams and nieces Rosemary Costen and Mary White (Dale) and nephews Joe Ralph (Carolyn), Leo Giles (Agnes) and Robert Giles (Helen) and their families. He will be greatly missed and never forgotten by niece Jan Wininger and her husband David. Archie was born January 19th, 1911 in Fonthill where he spent his entire life. His career as an electrician spanned many years in the Niagara area, until retirement to his farm on Port Robinson Road. Archie had many interests. Archie owned and flew his own plane for many years in the early part of his life and liked to recount his flying adventures with his friends at the coffee gathering each morning that he attended since his retirement. Special thanks to the staff at Shorthills Villa where Archie resided during his latter life, and his close friends who were loyal and special people in his life.
