He had many friends, touched many lives and will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered. Also survived by his family in Canada and Holland. Dear sister-in-law of Chuck and Hazel Dewar of Brantford, niece Joan (Laverne) Clark of Blyth, Ontario, nephew Glen Dewar of Toronto and cousin Eric (Edna) Welton of Moncton, New Brunswick, and their families. Sadly missed by her many dear friends here and in Nova Scotia. Predeceased by her daughter Carol Ann Dewar, sister Doris Tibbetts and her parents Clyde and Edith Jacques. Marilyn was the head librarian at the Smithville Public Library which she helped create and organize for many years. She participated and volunteered in many community organizations and charities, and was a teacher at South Lincoln High School in Smithville in the 1950s. FRIESEN, Edward George It is with great sadness we announce the passing of a wonderful man, on July 27, 2008 at Joseph Brant Hospital. After a brief battle with cancer, Ed left us with his loving wife and best friend, Beverley, at his side. He will be deeply missed by his daughter Kelly and grandchildren Shane and Jamie-Lynn. Ed was a brother to Nick, Anne, Leona, Walter (Betty), Martha (Jake) and Uncle to many nieces and nephews. He has gone to join his son, Douglas (March 2008). Cremation has taken place.
