GORDON, JUDY: February 22, 1955 to February 21, 2008: Loving wife of Richard High for almost twenty years. Loving mother of Wayne (Aisling), Nicole (Matt) and Carrie. Cherished grandmother of Michael, Noah and Dylan. Dear sister of Keith Iekel (predeceased) and his wife Rose, Lillian (Larry) Wannamaker, Sheila Buchan, Leonard Styles, Mary (Mike) Calas, Peter (Debbie) Verhoeven, Joyce Paquette, and Eric Roberts. Judy will also be lovingly remembered by the High family, and by many cherished nieces, nephews and friends. While under the special care of Dr. Davidson, Judy passed away at West Lincoln Memorial Hospital in Grimsby under a blanket of love and surrounded by her loved ones. Thank you to the nurses of C Ward and nurse Annette. Friends may call at the Merritt Funeral Home, 287 Station Street in Smithville on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 26, 2008 at Smithville United Church at 10 am. GOULET, ANNE-MARIE: At her home in Smithville on Saturday, June 7, 2008, Anne-Marie Goulet (nee Lefebvre) in her 89th year. Beloved wife for 67 years of Fern Goulet. Loving mother of André Goulet, Noella & Chi Chi Farenzena, Martha & David Beattie, Carole & Bill Minnick, and Raymond & Lina Goulet. Cherished grandmother of Andrea, Angela, Anthony, Leaha, Michael, Jennifer, Kate, Matthew, and Anne-Marie and great-grandmother of Alexander, Mackenzie, Benjamin, Lauren, Jacob, Jazmine, Jade, Mikayla, and Nicholas. Dear sister of Paul Lefebvre, John Lefebvre, and Jackie Menard. Predeceased by sisters Dorothy Buckingham and Georgie Scott. The Funeral Liturgy was held at St. Martin of Tours' Roman Catholic Church in Smithville on Tuesday, June 10 at 9:30 am led by Father Mathew Pendanathu. Interment at the church's adjoining cemetery.

HARDING-WIELINK, DIANE: Suddenly, on Thursday, October 9, 2008 as a result of an accident, Diane Bernadette Harding-Wielink of Wellandport, in her 62nd year. Beloved wife of John Wielink. Dear daughter of Rose Harding and the late Gordon. Loving mother of Jacqui Dusil and the late Richard, Christine Lines and her husband Phil, daughter-in-law Nadia Dusil, and step-mother of Shari Archambault and her husband Gary, Neil Wielink and his wife Elaine, and Lori Milner and her husband Ace. Cherished grandmother of Alexandra, Natasha, Monica, Dante, Jacob, Henry, Jessi, Sean, Tyler, Michelle, Jonathon, Derek, Ace and Nicole. Dear sister of Derm Harding (Nora), Gale Craig (Peter), Craig Harding, and Dawn Pearcey (Bob). Predeceased by her brother Jeff Harding, grandson Ryan Milner. Special thanks to those who were first at the accident scene who courageously lent a hand, and to the fire department and ambulance emergency service workers. HAVEMAN, GRACE: At Shalom Manor in Grimsby on Thursday, January 10, 2008, Geesje (Grace) Haveman (nee Everts) went to be with her Lord, one month before her 101st birthday. Beloved wife of the late Wolter Haveman. Loving mother of Tina, Diete, John, Richard and John Henry. Cherished Opoe of 30 grandchildren, 44 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren. Predeceased by her daughters Hillie and Anna. The funeral service will be held at the Smithville Christian Reformed Church (6522 Smithville Road) on Saturday, January 12, 2008 at 1 pm. Private family interment will precede the service. The family gratefully declines floral tributes. HAWKINS, JAMES: Peacefully, surrounded by his family at his home in Smithville on Tuesday, January 1, 2008, James Charles Hawkins in his 65th year. Beloved husband and best friend of Gail Hawkins (nee Burtch) for 43years. Loving dad, friend and companion of Michael and his wife Debbie, and Karen Cake and her husband Steven. Cherished Papa of Carter and Emerson Cake, Shaelen and Ella Hawkins. Dear brother of Joan Mason (Bruce), Ruth Scudieri, Elizabeth McFarlane (Gordon), Kathleen Packham (Craig), and Sandra Wagner. Predeceased by his parents Charles and Rachel Hawkins, brother Rupert, sister Susan, brothers-in-law Philip Wagner and Ronald Scudieri. A memorial service to honor his life will be held on Saturday, January 5, 2008 at 11 am at St. Luke's Anglican Church, 216 Station Street in Smithville. Floral tributes gratefully declined. Jager, Roelof (Robert) On Monday, October 27, 2008, the Lord, in His time, called to Himself our husband, father and grandfather, Roelof Jager, in his 81st year. Beloved husband for 50 years of Pearl Jager (nee Salverda). Beloved father of Ron and Anne Jager, Ken and Liz Jager, Rob and Marcia Jager, Debbie and Rick Feenstra, Linda and Ben Bartels, Diane and Carl Evink, and Monica and Dan Bos. He will also be sadly missed by many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Beloved brother to Ans Veldsema (The Netherlands) and twin brother to Grace and Henk DeRaad (Abbotsford,B.C.). Beloved brother-in-law to Edna Salverda (Tillsonburg) and Anne and Henk Vandenberg. Predeceased by Ge and Andries Brouwer, Johan Veldsema, Peter Salverda, Johannes Stapenzia and Chip Salverda. Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, October 29, in the Covenant Canadian Reformed Church, 480 Wolverton Road, Grassie, from 2-4 pm and 7-9pm. The funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 30, at the Covenant Canadian Reformed Church, Rev. S. C. VanDam officiating. Interment to follow at Union cemetery in Smithville. Beloved wife of Doug Disheau. Loving daughter of Evangeline and the late James Patterson. Loving mother of Ryan Sinnett, Chris and Jenn Sinnett, Derek Sinnett and Rachelle Daviau, and step-mother of Missy and Gerry Bailey, Jonathan and Jen Disheau, Nicole Disheau and Ryan Prevost. Cherished by her grandchildren Chrissa and Alexis Sinnett, and step-grandchildren Riley and Ty Bailey and Lily Disheau. Dear sister of Murray Patterson, Erick Patterson, Rody and Diane Patterson. JANSSEN, MATTHEW: On Saturday, July 26, 2008, our God and Father decided to take to Himself our beloved son and brother, Matthew Alan Janssen, in his 21st year. Matthew will be dearly missed by his parents Alan and Lisa (nee Vis) Janssen, his brother David and his wife Sarah, his niece Jadyn, his sisters Katelyn, Emily and Stephanie, grandparents John and Willy Janssen, Leo and Liz Vis, aunts and uncles Henry and Barb Janssen, Albert and Lynn Janssen, Ben and Renee Jacobi, Tina Janssen, Lennard Vis, Tony and Marie Vis, Henry and Sharon Vis, Jason Vis, best friends John Riewald and Derek DeVries, as well as his many other family and friends. Visitation will be held at the Wellandport (United) Orthodox Reformed Church (on Wellandport Road) from 2-4 and 7-9 pm on Tuesday, July 29. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 30 at 11 am at the Wellandport (United) Orthodox Reformed Church with interment at Lane cemetery following the service. Wayne Douglas Johnson
1949 - 2008
JOHNSON, WAYNE DOUGLAS Wayne passed away 24 October, 2008 at home after a brief but courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Beloved husband of Cathy, special brother of Marie and special uncle of Douglas, Wesley, Rodney, Lori-Ann and Tammy. He will be sadly missed by many more nieces and nephews, his extended family, neighbours, friends, members of IBEW Local 105, and a fraternity of horse lovers. Wayne was long recognized as an expert horseman and was a mentor over the years to numerous students who learned to ride at Willow Creek Farm. Predeceased by his parents Edith and Elgin Johnson. Survived by his brother Lloyd and sisters Lois and Marie. Service will be held Saturday 25 October, 2008 at 2 pm at the United Church of Canada, Caistorville with interment to follow. In lieu of flowers donations in Wayne's honour to the Canadian Cancer Society or a horse association of your choice would be greatly appreciated and can be made through the funeral home.

John will also be dearly missed by his special friend and companion Nan Straiton. Loving father of Kim Smith, Pamela and Kevin Kreutzer, and Susan and Ken Richards. Cherished grandfather of Nicole, Jillian, Kaylie, and Michael Smith; Ryan and Tyson LeBlanc; and Brie, Natalie and Zachary Richards. Dear brother of Bronny and Rose Kazienko, Abbie Wilkinson (and the late Gord), Alex Kazienko, Ed and Joan Kazienko, Della McLean (and the late Arnold), Tom (Albert) and Sally (Eileen) Kazienko, and brother-in-law of John Carbert. Also predeceased by his sister Jenny Carbert. He will also be missed by many nieces, nephews, friends and neighbours. KINZEL, ROBERT: At home in Smithville on Sunday, August 31, 2008, Robert William Kinzel at the age of 54. Beloved husband of Helen (nee Cook). Son of the late Charlie and Mary Kinzel and son-in-law of Clifford Cook. Loving father of Kathleen Kinzel and Tyler Kinzel. Dear brother of Peggy Brenzil, Steve and Margie Kinzel, Brian and Deborah Kinzel, and brother-in-law of Dale Cook, and Jackie Newcombe and Doug Crowder. Loved uncle of Paula and Kevin Shewfelt, John and Karen Brenzil, Amanda Kinzel, Aaron Kinzel, Alyssa Kinzel, Aimee Cook, Jennifer Cook, Travis Cook, Chris and Sue Toms, and Nichole and Mike Potter. He will also be missed by many great-nieces and great-nephews, aunts and uncles. Predeceased by his nephew Michael Kinzel and mother-in-law Kay Cook. Bob was an employee of Starbrand, Dorr Brothers, and Niagara Grain and Feed. Friends may call at the Merritt Funeral Home, 287 Station Street, Smithville on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Beloved wife of Rev. John Knoll for 60 years. Loving mother of Esther and Grant Teal, Ruth and Ross Griffin, Robert and Helen Knoll, and Sylvia Knoll. Cherished grandmother of Brook and Lisa Teal, Jonathan Teal, Christy and Ryan Fullerton, Phil and Emily Griffin, Paul Griffin, Nora Griffin, Cathy and Allan Pickell, Mike and Gillian Cain, Jo-Ann and Gino DeLuca, and Rebecca Knoll, and great-grandmother of 16 great-grandchildren. Dear sister-in-law of Helen Lehman and of Rev. Eldon Boettger. She will also be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by five sisters and one brother. Loving father of George and Glenna Lane, Margaret and Bruce Merritt, Earl and Rose Lane, and Shirley and Albert Smith. Cherished by grandchildren Mark (Sue), Kathy (Paul), Donna (Dan), Marty (Shanie), Cynthia (James), Nicole (Jason), Dan (Tracy), Karyn (Steve), Jason (Charlie), Marvin (Carole), Steven (Wanda), James (Teena) and 24 great-grandchildren. LANGLEY, FRANK: Peacefully at Albright Centre in Beamsville on Wednesday, March 12, 2008, Frank Norman Langley in his 89th year. Husband of the late Laure Marie Langley (nee Poirier) and loving father (and grandfather) of Pauline Langley (Jesse, Danny, Wendy and great-grandson Jonah), Judy Langley and Jim Higginson (Laura, Jamie), Sandra and Doug Kenny (Caitlin), Barbara and Rob Smith (Graeme, Darrel, Russ, Tessa), Jane Langley, Carolyn Langley and Bob Mous (Andy, Ryan, Brent, Lauren, Kelley), Jill Fisher and Dave Vaillancourt (Bobbi, Jeni, Grant, James, Stephanie). Frank will also be missed by his sister-in-law Eve Langley, his niece Susan and her husband David Roscoe (great-nieces Georgina, Sarah and Amanda) from England and by his many other Canadian relatives. Also predeceased by his brother Stan Langley and nephew Richard. Frank was a naval veteran of WWII . A private family service will be held. Cherished grandmother of Vincent, Alex, Arwen, Raewyn, Eilish, Hannah, Shéa'mn, Aaron and Druid. Dear sister-in-law of Edna Sturgeon, and Arvo Walli. She will also be sadly missed by her nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her brothers William Surgeon, Olley Sturgeon (wife Brenda), and sisters Helen Lewis (husband John), and Doris Walli.
