MARTIN - Bridget Ellen
Peacefully at Cassellholme, on Thursday, July 14, 2005. Bridget, was the beloved daughter of the late Edward and Agnes Kells, she was in her 73rd year. Loving mother of Lynda Martin, Karen Etmanski, Stacey Kuehl (Chris), Jason Martin all of North Bay and Wanda Gutjahr (Dan) of Ajax. Lovingly remembered by her ten grandchildren and one great grandchild. She will be sadly missed by her sisters.
Respecting Bridget's wishes there will be a private family service in the MARTYN FUNERAL HOME (across from City Hall). Cremation at the Forest lawn Crematorium.

After a short illness at the North Bay General Hospital, Scollard Site on Sunday July 17, 2005 at the age of 84 years. Dear wife of the late Elwin (Al) Gray. Loving mother of Carol Morgan (Ken) of North Bay, Donald of Little Current and Janie (Don) also of North Bay. Sadly missed by grandchildren Sean Morgan and Dana Boyd (Brian) and great grandchildren Ryley, Bailey and Mikayla. Survived by her sister Tressie Crowell of Glenwood, N.S. Predeceased by her son David, brothers William and James and sisters Marion Sears and Alberta Vizena.

McLEOD - Grace
passed away peacefully with her family at her side on Monday, July 18, 2005 at the North Bay General Hospital - Scollard Site. Grace was the beloved solemate of Weldon Loback for the past 27 years, she was 61 years old. Loving mother of Steven McLeod and his wife Sue of Thunder Bay and Peggy and her husband Gilles Ledoux of Corbeil. Grace was predeceased by her daughter Rena in 1989. She will be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Rhiannon, Connor, Katrena and Brock. Dearly loved by her sisters Jean Okum of Deacon, Doris Dwyer of Sudbury, Pat Crawford of Palmer Rapids. Grace worked as a Teller for the CIBC on Main Street, for over 35 years. Grace's family would like to thank Dr. Eckler and his staff, the nurses of the CCU on 3 West, the whole of the Kuehl family, and Steve Bernard and France Gilbert from LRL Transport of Ville Marie for their care and support.

Died at Leisureworld Care Giving Centre on Tuesday, July 19, 2005.Mary Turley, was the beloved wife of the late Wilfred Toner "Tony" Pitt, she was in her 90th year. Loving mother of Lyle and his wife Yvonne of Nova Scotia, Darl and his wife Kathy of British Columbia, Joyce (Mrs. Robert Denault), Val (Mrs. Alan Garrett) both of North Bay, Meryl (Mrs. Elmer Foster) of Feronia, Mrs. Sheila Lacarte, Wendy (Mrs. Brian Pinkerton) of both North Bay. She was predeceased by her son Larry Pitt, by her son-in-law Jerry Lacarte and by her brothers Norman, John and Phillip Turley. Lovingly remembered by her 21 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren. Dearly loved sister of Ellen Lovegrove of Parry Sound.

passed away at Cassellholme on Saturday, July 30, 2005. Alena "Helen" Ann Roskopkas, was the beloved wife of the late Neil Wentworth Stewart, she was 92 years old. Loving mother of Marjorie and her husband Art Livingstone of North Bay, Marilyn and her husband Henry Herbrand of Nipissing, Betty Lou and her husband Dick Draves of North Bay and Rena Stewart also of North Bay. Lovingly remembered by her 8 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Predeceased by her sons Robert "Bob" and Wilfred "Bill", her grandson Benjamin Barker and her parents John & Ann Roskopkas. She was also predeceased by her siblings Ann Norton, Patricia Hennessey, Blanche Bordeaux, Mary Roskopkas, Frances Roskopkas and William Raskauskas.

LEE - Robert Gardiner
At Cassellholme, on Saturday, July 30th, 2005. Robert Gardiner Lee, son of the late George W. Lee and Bessie Amey, in his 96th year. Pre-deceased by his beloved wife Georgina Madeline Wright. Loving father of Elizabeth Lee, Lundy Gosselin and her husband Maurice, George Lee and his wife Margaret and Robert Lee Jr. and his wife Carole all of the Greater Toronto Area. He will be lovingly remembered by 10 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Predeceased by his siblings John, Amey, Isabel, Margaret and Anna. A life-long resident of North Bay, Bob, a noted amateur golfer, was a member of the North Bay Golf & Country Club from 1923 and is an inductee in the North Bay Sports Hall of Fame. At Robert's request there will be cremation with no services. His ashes will be interred with his wife Georgina in the Terrace Lawn cemetery. MAILLE - Edward R.
Edward R. Maillé died peacefully at the North Bay General Hospital, (Scollard Site) surrounded by the people he loved; his ex-wife and best friend, Francine, his sons, Gabriel, Pascal, Raphaël and Alexis, his daughter, Sophie, his grand-daughter, Maylin, his grand-son, Tryston, his daughters-in-law, Tanya Peddie and Jennifer Sherman and his son-in-law, Barry Layman.Ed was born in Dymond and grew up on the Maillé's Farm in New Liskeard, Ontario. He married Francine Carrière on November 14, 1970 in Uno Park, Ontario.He is survived by his brothers, Nova and Pete, and his sisters Murielle Bush and Charlotte Oyler, and many nieces and nephews.He was predeceased by his father, Alfred Maillé in 1974, his mother, Rachelle Tessier, in 2000, his brothers Normand and Gilbert, in 1949 and two baby brothers named Yvan.Ed will be sadly missed by the Carrière Family.Ed worked: from 1965 to 1971 for the Midtown Shell owned by his brother Pete; at the Sherman Mine in Temagami from 1972 to 1990; and as a Taxi Driver, Car #5, for U-Need-a-Cab Company in North Bay, from 1996-2003.Ed enjoyed fishing, ice fishing and hunting, but his hobby was carpentry. Although at the end of his life he was partially blind, Ed loved sitting on his porch with his cat, PinBob, watching and talking with people that went by. The Funeral arrangements were made by Martyn Funeral Home. KILBRIDE - Patricia
At the North Bay General Hospital on Friday July 29, 2005, at the age of 74 years. Patricia (nee Gleason), was the beloved wife of the late Ivan Watt, who predeceased her in 1959. Dearly loved mother of Gail Geddes-Bell (Donald) of North Bay, Laurie Inglis (Dennis) of Toronto and Robert Watt of Vancouver. She will be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Erin Inglis, Caitlin and Paige Bell and Brooklyn and Bronson Watt. Pat was predeceased by her infant son David, her infant grandchildren Elizabeth and James Geddes, and her parents the late William and Nora Gleason. She is also survived by her brother Jim Gleason (Anne-Marie) of Deep River. A teacher by profession Pat taught for the Near North District School Board for 37 years, retiring from Centennial Public School in 1992.

Peacefully at Cassellholme on Tuesday, July 26, 2005. Edna Mary (nee Stinson) beloved wife of the late Oscar Waldon Harris, in her 94th year. Dearly loved mother of Bryan of North Bay. Predeceased, in 1955, by her daughter Ann. Edna will be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Christine, Cory and Alana, her great granddaughter Emi, and her daughters in law Edna May Harris of St. Thomas and Marilyn Manderstrom of North Bay. Dear sister of Jean Mann (Dave) of North Bay. Also sadly missed by Jose Fowler also of North Bay. She was predeceased by her sister Florence and by her brother Rea. A dedicated wife and mother Edna was a member of the Anglican Church W.A. at St. John's Anglican Church, in her younger years an avid sewer, and a life long gifted painter. Her many works of art will be greatly treasured by her family and friends.

Peacefully and surrounded by his family on Thursday, August 11, 2005, at the age of 57. David Cooper was the beloved husband of Doreen Margaret (nee LeClair). He was the proud and loving father of Benjamin (Chantel) and Sarah (Ryan) all of North Bay. Dearly loved son of Flora Cooper of Dundas, and the late Leonard Cooper. David will be sadly missed by his brother Denis (Marion) of Oakville, and sisters Valerie Evans (Jeff) and Lois Parker (Tom) both of Dundas. Self employed as a computer consultant specializing in computer designed drawings. David was a spiritual man who enjoyed canoeing and hiking.

Peacefully at Soldiers Memorial Hospital, Orillia, on Monday August 29th, 2005, while in her 101st year. Ethel (nee Harper) was the beloved wife of the late Clarence "Mac" McCullough who predeceased her in 1987. Dearly loved mother of Joan Major of Orillia, formerly of North Bay. Cherished grandmother of Keely-Ann Lewis (Bob) of North Bay and Kara-Lee Miller (Wayne) of Orillia and great grandmother of Karlynn Bethune. Ethel was the last surviving child of the late William and Margaret Harper, being predeceased by her sisters Margaret, Edna, Helen, Vera and Irene, and brothers Bill and Victor. She is also survived by sisters in law Bertha McCulloch of Temiskaming and Rose Harper of Chalk River. A long time North Bay resident Ethel worked as a sales clerk for Himmells Ladies Wear for 27 years. A wonderful and dedicated mother, grandmother and great grandmother Ethel will be deeply missed by her family.

With great sorrow we announce the passing of Hilda Florence Hoath at Cassellholme on Monday, August 29th, in her 97th year. Beloved wife of the late Lloyd Sutor (1983).Loving Mother of Mary Rawn, husband John. Cherished grandmother to Jillian Rawn and her husband Mario DiGiosia, Jessica Rawn and great grandmother to Emma and Steven DiGiosia. Hilda is survived by her two dear sisters, Dorothy Dean and Margery Douglas both of Burlington. Predeceased by her brother Harry. She will be lovingly remembered by her many nieces and nephews. Born to Jesse and Mary Hoath (nee Grant), in Manchester, England, on August 24th, 1909, she and her family immigrated to Canada in 1912.Hilda spent her long, joyful life caring for others, her husband Lloyd whom she married in 1932, her family, and many children from the Children's Aid Society and outpatients from the Psychiatric Hospital. Hilda's generosity, brilliant smile and infectious laughter will be remembered by all who knew and loved her.

Also, missed by grandchildren Chuck Haskins, Diane Watson and Pat Bedard, 5 great grandchildren, 1 great, great grandchild and many nieces and nephews. Edith was a Past Worthy Matron O.E.S., past regent I.O.D.E. Champlain Chapter, past president Nipissing Conservative Party, an avid curler for 25 years with the Granite Club and a member of the Canadian Club and the Royal Canadian Legion Br. 23.
