Philip Deveney Burns

BURNS, Philip Deveney - passed away suddenly on Wednesday February 13 in Tarpon Springs Florida in his 72nd year. Beloved husband of Chris, and loving father of David (Kelly), Philip (Lori), Elaine (Dave) and Andrew (Christine). Loving grand father of Anisleigh, Felicia, Hayden, Sydney, Katie (Jason), Callum and Erin. Dear brother of Jim (Leona), Veronica (Brian) and Bette (Peter). Phil will be greatly missed by his many friends. There will be no funeral at Phil's request. A memorial celebration is to be held at a future date in May. A donation may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of your choice.

CAMERON, MARJORIE (Marjie) ANN (RN Graduate from Hospital for Sick Children) - Peacefully at home surrounded by her family. Marjie Cameron, of Orillia, beloved wife of the late Donald Alexander Cameron. Loving mother of Deborah Cameron of Orillia, John and Cherylyn of Barrie, Ellen and Richard Lengyell of Paris, Robin & Kathinca of North Bay, and Scott & Patti of the UK. Cherished grandmother of Cameron, Ian, Emily- Jane, Donald, Jennie, Breagh, Todd, Geordi, Jesse & Sofie. Marjie will be lovingly remembered by all her nieces, nephews, extended family, friends and all her pets whose lives she has touched. DOYLE, Eugene Allen “Gino“ - passed away at the Huronia District Hospital, Midland on Wednesday, February 20, 2008, Eugene Doyle; age 79 years, of Hillcrest Village, Midland and formerly of North River. Beloved son of the late Michael & Olive Doyle. Brother of Katherine Wale of Orillia and Norah Lee of Woodstock. Predeceased by his brothers & sisters Maurice, Beatrice, Betty, Patricia, Kenneth, Olive, Manley and Gerome. Will be missed by his many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Eugene was born and raised on the Irish Line in North River and was employed for many years by Uhthoff Quarry. Following cremation, a Graveside Service will be held at St. John's Roman Catholic cemetery , Waubaushene in the Spring. LIVINGSTON, W.C. (Dick) - passed away at the Leacock Center in Orillia on Wed, Feb, 20, 2008 after a brave fight with cancer in his 89th year. Predeceased by wife Jean (2002). Loving father of Sheila (Bob), Donna (Don). Dick was always known as Amper and will be sadly missed by his 5 grandchildren, Wendy (Terry), Tony (Robin), Wally (Sandy), Bob (Christy), Christopher and predeceased by Todd. Amper will be greatly missed by his 10 great- grandchildren. Dick leaves behind his brother, Harry, and brother-in-law, Bruce. Predeceased by his sister Mary. Dick was a long time employee at General Tire. Cremation by PEACEFUL TRANSITION INC. was at Dick's request. Donations may be made to the Royal Victoria Hospital Cancer Center. At this time his daughters and their families would like to express their appreciation to all staff on Home Area 3 at the Leacock Care Center for their caring and kindness they have provided our Dad. God bless you all. Dick will be fondly remembered for his love of family, friends, his long time golfing buddies and horse racing friends, as well as all his hockey stories and his great sense of humour.

Wayne Cole

COLE, Wayne - Wayne Cole is at peace and his family sadly announces his death at the Guelph General Hospital. He died surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday February 19, 2008. He is survived by his wife Carolyn, children Connie (Larry Stone), Wendy Bird (Steve), and Travis (Kim), his thirteen grandchildren Andrea Bright (Jamie), Angela Bird (Adam Storer), Matt Bird (Jen), Lesa Messerschmidt (Chris), Jaimie and Toby Bird, Sarah, Lawren and Ainslie Knight, Allan and Kelsey Sway, Abby and Jordie Cole and his great grandchildren Jessa & Brennan Bright. He treasured his relationship with his sister and brother in law Lois and Dick Swayne, and will be lovingly remembered by his mother in law Delhi Finchen & brother in law Richard Bernard (Helen Wall). Predeceased by his great grandson Brady Bird, parents Clara and Geordie Cole, brothers Wib and Allan and sister Mildret. Wayne grew up in North Bay and has been married to his high school sweetheart for the past 48 years. He was loved by his many nieces and nephews. A stationary engineer by profession he worked at the ONR, the Airport and at the former St. Joseph's Hospital, and will be remembered by many for the eighteen years that he owned and operated Cole's Pet Center. The “Miracle Man” Wayne faced death and defied it numerous times, beginning with his double lung transplant 11 ½ years ago. He and his family have always been thankful for the generosity and love of his donor family who gave so unselfishly during their time of grief, enabling Wayne to live and love life for 11 ½ years. Friends may call at the MARTYN FUNERAL HOME (across from city hall) today Friday February 22, from 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 pm and on Saturday morning from 10:30 until 12 noon. Funeral services to celebrate Wayne's life will be held in the funeral home chapel on Saturday afternoon at 2:00 pm. Cremation to follow. If desired donations to the VON, the Civitan Club (who build places for transplant patients and their families to stay) or the Toronto General Hospital Lung Transplant Research program will be gratefully acknowledged as expressions of sympathy.

LAUZON, Lucille - passed away peacefully surrounded by loving family at North Bay General Hospital, Scollard Site, Thursday, February 21, 2008 at the age of 82. Lucille (née Deschamps) was the beloved wife of the late Léo Lauzon and loved mother of Aline Sauvé (Fern) of Astorville, Guy (Alice) and Raymond (Elaine) both of Chiswick. She will be lovingly remembered by grandchildren, Marcel and Suzanne Sauvé, Luc, Michelle, Natalie and Dominique Lauzon and great-grandchildren, Gabrielle, Maxim, Marissa, Eugenie and Mathias. Lucille was the dear sister of Annette Demers (Orient) and Donald Deschamps. Predeceased by her parents, Alexina and Léon Deschamps, brothers and sisters, Léandre, Jovide, Conrad, Lorrain, Henriette, Délima, Caroline, Clemence, Blanche and Thérèse. Family and friends may pay their respects at McGUINTY FUNERAL HOME, Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated at Paroisse des Saints-Anges on Maplewood Avenue on Saturday at 11 a.m. Interment Chiswick cemetery in the springtime. Loving grandmother of Nicholas. Dear sister of Sharon Deschenes (Pierre) of South River, Diane Vanier (Peter) of Brampton, Barbara Szabo (John) of Utopia, John Marshall (Debbie) of Mississauga, Judy Weber (Gary) of Aurora, Nancy McNutt (Wade) of Orangeville, Connie Johnston (Wayne) of Calgary, Sandi Jenkinson (Ken) of Aurora and Lori Jones (Bill) of Innisfil. Also survived by 10 nieces, 16 nephews, 11 great-nieces and nephews, her mother-in- law Angela Diamantakos, and brothers-in- law Nick (Janet) and Gus (Julie) all of Toronto.
