McDONALD, Florence (nee Anthony) - Born in Sydney, Nova Scotia, she passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, at the Salvation Army Grace Manor in Ottawa on February 19, 2008, at the age of 90. Beloved wife of the late Thomas McDonald. Loving mother of Adrienne Peacock (John), Loretta Barteluk (Richard) and Prescott McDonald. Cherished grandmother of Mark Peacock (Debbie Johnston), Kevin Peacock (Giselle Murphy), Christopher, Ainsley, Kyle Barteluk and great-grandmother of Emma and Tea Johnston-Peacock. Predeceased by brother Douglas Anthony and sisters Margaret Marsh, Betty Naish, Blanche MacDonald and Althea Butterwick. She will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her. Lois was deeply loved and admired by her late husband Walter Frost (d. 1993), her children Paul and Isabel, her grandchildren John, Sarita and Timothy, her great-grandson Dylan, and her church family and friends. The Regional Geriatric Team at St. Mary's of the Lake Hospital (Dr. Christopher Frank) and Briargate are thanked for the quality care they provided in Mom's final months. MARACLE, Robert Earl - My darling husband entered into rest Wednesday, February 20, 2008, at the Kingston General Hospital. Robert was 59 years of age and the only son of the late Earl and Evelyn Maracle. He leaves behind his wife of 35 years, Linda Jean and his children Edward (Cindy), Robert (Theresa), Caroline (Rob), James and his daughter Preslei and Melissa Jean (Jeff). He also leaves behind his sisters Caroline and Judy, his mother-in-law Gladys Harkness, several nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law. Robert leaves behind 5 grandchildren. He will greatly miss his cats Chief (Mr), Tazz and Dee. His new grandchild is due this October and will carry his name if a little boy. Sweetheart I'll never forget your final words to me as your eyes sparkled like diamonds and it was difficult to speak as I entered your room you got a smile on your face and said 'Hi Lina, I love you'. BALDWIN, Hugh (1954 - 2008) - After a courageous battle with cancer, Hugh passed away at home on February 21st at the side of his loving wife Colette Cté, his daughter Julie and her husband Ryan, his son Michael and his fiancé Stéphanie, and his youngest son Robert. Dearly loved son of the late Daly Baldwin, he is survived by his mother Marie (Dowling), his brothers Delbert, Karl, Gary, James, Ronald, and sister Barbara (Hogan), and his many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, and very good friends. Hugh will be immensely missed by his many family and friends, and remembered for the selfless way he lived his life and for the continuous support and love he provided to those around him. Richard Paul Rick Mullen

MULLEN, Richard Paul Rick (Owner of Mullen's Repair and Maintenance) - It is with great sorrow that the family of Rick Mullen announce his passing at home on Friday, February 22, 2008. While surrounded by his loving and devoted family, Rick Mullen, age 50 completed his one last job before heading to heaven to build a mansion for his family. Rick's struggle with cancer lasted six weeks, during this time he fought this battle in the same valiant way that he lived each day. During his recent illness, Rick demonstrated great courage and was able to keep that great sense of humour while visiting with family, friends and customers. He always welcomed you with a firm handshake and a friendly, kind word. Rick was gone to meet his parents, William and Betty Mullen at Heaven's Gate. He leaves behind to miss him, his loving wife Jeanette (nee Bunn) and his four proud children, Ellie Ellsworth, Tabitha Buker (Kevin Buchan), Richard (Fioni Cheung) and Mandy. Adored grandfather of Morgan & McKenzie Kimber. Also missing Rick is his father-in-law James Bunn and his brothers and sisters, Judy Paluch (Ron), Sue Smijan (late Peter), Kenneth (Cheryl) Mary-Lou Sorensen (Carsten), Mike (June), Patrick (Patricia) and Betty Mullen. Also survived by several grandchildren. Dear brother of Jean (Robert) McFarland of Northern Ireland and Bill (Florence) Crozier of Winnipeg. George served as a flight instructor for the Royal Canadian Air Force.
