Pearl Elizabeth Woodley

WOODLEY, Pearl Elizabeth - Of Belleville, entered into rest at Westgate Lodge Nursing Home on Wednesday February 6th, 2008 in her 86th year. Dear daughter of the late George & Louise Keegan. Beloved wife of the late Leo Charles Woodley. Cherished Mother of Gary Robert Woodley (Judith Mary) of Belleville. Also lovingly remembered by her grandchildren; Shane Woodley (Jen) of Burlington, Kimberley Reid of Belleville, Aaron Woodley of Belleville and by her great grandchildren; Brett & Daniella, Tyler, Noah and Amber. Dear sister of Mary Demorest of Belleville. Predeceased by brother Robert and by sister June. With respect for Pearl's wishes, cremation to take place. A memorial service will be held at the BELLEVILLE FUNERAL HOME AND CHAPEL, 68 North Front Street, Belleville (613-968-5080) on Tuesday February 12th, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. (with visitation one hour prior to service). Interment to take place in the spring at Stockdale cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.

Suzanne Woud

WOUD, Suzanne (March 26th 1972 February 5th 2008) - Suzanne Woud passed away at the young age of 35 after a courageous battle with a brain tumour. She died peacefully at home with her parents and husband by her side on February 5th 2008. Suzanne is survived by her husband Dejan (Dan) Djuric, parents Antje and Evert Woud, dear sisters Katrin (Ed), Petra (John), brother Mike (Michele) and many nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life will be held for Suzanne in the home at 95 Main Street in Bath Ontario. Your presence will be welcome on the weekend of February 9th and 10th between 10:00AM and 6:00PM on either day. ANIOL, David Wayne - passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family at St. Joseph's Hospital, Hamilton on Thursday, February 7th, 2008 in his 53rd year. Loving son of Marion and the late Joseph. Beloved companion of Sandra. Dear brother of Tom (Gail) and Cathy (Martin) Corbett of Port Elgin. Much loved uncle to Michael and David Corbett and Scott and Jess Aniol, and great-uncle to Austin Corbett. Cremation and private family service at Dave's request. Thank you to the doctors and nurses at St. Joe's, Hamilton for their care and compassion. If desired donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated.

PACYK, Stella - Peacefully at the Brantford General Hospital on Thursday, February 7, 2008, Stella; beloved wife to the late Joseph; loving and dedicated mother of Christine and her husband Charles Clarke, Irene and her husband James Cannon, and Ed Pacyk; cherished “Babcia“ of Cheryl, Kim and Michael; and will be sadly missed by her many nieces, nephews, family and friends. We remember her as a strong and loving person who gave freely of her time and energy to her family, friends and the Polish community. Stella was an active and long time member of St. Joseph's Parish, Polish Alliance Group # 10 and was a member and Past President of the Polish Combatants' Ladies Circle. Friends and family will be received at the “THORPE BROTHERS' FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL“, 96 West Street, on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm with CWL Rosary at 3 pm. and Parish Prayers at 7 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, 235 Brant Avenue, on Monday, February 11, 2008 at 10 am followed by interment at St. Joseph's cemetery. LAFORGE, Frank - The family announces with sorrow, his death in Val Caron, Thursday, February 13th, 2008 at the age of 64 years, following a long and courageous battle with diabetes. Son of the late Noël and of the late Hélène (née Deschamps) Laforge. Husband of the late Eva Laforge (née Pednaud) predeceased in 2002. Loving father of Carole Laforge of Sault-Ste-Marie and Claude Laforge of Kitchener. Dear brother of Aldège Laforge (late Diane) of Spanish, Adelard Laforge (Diane) and Pierrette Laforge both of Sturgeon Falls, Richard Laforge (Bonnie) of Holtyre, Robert Laforge (Bev) of Port Coquitlam, B.C., Gilbert Laforge (Fran Bernette) of London Solange Nelson (Ray) of St. Joseph's Island and Gilberte Laforge of Regina. Predeceased by his brother and sister Roméo (late Bonnie) and Marie-Jeanne Larivière (Brian of Sturgeon Falls). Sadly missed by several nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. In his leisure times, Frank enjoyed fishing and he will also be remembered for his story telling. The family will receive friends at the CO-OPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, 222 Lasalle Blvd. E. (at Notre-Dame), Sudbury, Sunday February 10th, 2008 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. A funeral service will follow at 3:00 p.m. in the Funeral Home Chapel, Sudbury. Roger Joseph O'connor

O'CONNOR, Roger Joseph - Died at the North Bay General Hospital - Scollard Site on Wednesday, February 6, 2008. Roger was the beloved husband of the late Theresa Derosier, he was 94 years old. He was predeceased by his sisters Annie Devine and Jennie O'Connor. He will be lovingly remembered by his niece Jean (Mrs. Jack Francis) of North Bay. Cremation has taken place at the Forest Lawn cemetery and Crematorium. Arrangements entrusted to the MARTYN FUNERAL HOME.

Ted Sokolowski-Treeshin

SOKOLOWSKI - TREESHIN, Ted - Our family announces the sudden tragic death of Ted on January 21, 2008 at his home in North Bay, at the age of 52. Survived by one daughter, Andrea Treeshin. Dear brother of Leo Treeshin, Gus Sokolowski (Joan) and Nicky, four sisters Mary Froment (late Ralph), Irene Mayer (Bernie), Ann McLeod (Tom), Cathy Lees (Frank) and step mother Dorotea Treeshin. Predeceased by his mother Alexandria Lemelin (Eugene) and his father Nikolaj Treeshin. Ted will be missed by so many nieces and nephews that loved Uncle Ted for his enormous generosity and humour. Memorial service will be held at the HILLSIDE FUNERAL HOME, North Bay, ON 362 Airport Rd. Saturday February 9 at 1 p.m. In memory of Ted, give someone a Teddy Bear Hug today and don't worry be happy.

ST LOUIS, Marcel (1930-2008) - The family announces with sorrow his death at the Sudbury Regional Hospital, Memorial Site, on Thursday, February 7, 2008 at the age of 77 years. Son of the late Palma and of the late Alma St Louis. Husband of the late Ruby (nee Deraiche) St Louis. Loving father of Louise Roy (Marcel) of Markstay, Laurent, Paulette St Louis, Richard, Marc (Cathy) and Daniel all of Cache Bay, Diane Laforge (Adelard) of Sturgeon Falls, Patrick (Sandra) of Toronto and Liliane Pake (Richard) of Verner. Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his nine grandchildren and his nine great- grandchildren. Predeceased by his brother, Gerard St Louis. The family will receive friends at THEORET BOURGEOIS FUNERAL HOME, Sturgeon Falls, today, Friday, February 8, 2008 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held in Ste. Therese D'Avila Church, Cache Bay, on Saturday, February 9, 2008 at 11 a.m. Donations to the Lung Association would be appreciated.

TUOVI, Vicki - passed away at North Bay General Hospital, February 7, 2008 in her 82nd year after a brief illness. Vicki was the beloved wife of Ahti Wilfred Tuovi (predeceased). She is survived by her son, Peter Tuovi (wife, Dimi). Lovingly remembered by a close large extended family, Vicki will be remembered as a woman who opened her heart and her house and shared her time without question, without fail, and with love to all. Family and friends may pay their respects at MARTYN FUNERAL HOME, on Sunday February 10 from 2:00 pm until 4:00pm. FINLEY, David Andrew - Tragically, at Orillia, on January 30th, 2008; in his 37th Year. Beloved partner of Leanne Gray of Orillia. Loving father to Amber. Devoted son of William Finley and his partner Marilyn Ivey of Orillia and the late Beatrice Finley. Loved brother of Carol and her husband Mike Hopkins of Bala, Cathy Vanderburgh and her husband Larry McKinnon of Orillia, Earl and his wife Connie of Bass Lake, Christine and her husband Wayne Townes of Barrie, Stephen and his wife Brenda of Orillia, Sharon and her husband Steve Evans of Orillia, Karen Smith of Orillia, Kevin and his wife Carol of Orillia and Shawn of Orillia. David will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Visitation will be held at the Simcoe Funeral Home, 38 James St. E., Orillia on Monday, February 11th from 10 a.m. to time of Memorial Service in the Chapel at 12 noon. Margaret Gladys (Power), nee Ferris Hughes

HUGHES, Margaret Gladys (Power), nee Ferris - passed away quietly February 6, 2008 at the Leacock Care Centre, Orillia, Ontario. Sincere and heartfelt appreciation is expressed to the nursing and support staff at Leacock who have given Margaret loving care for the past seven years. Margaret briefly survived her husband of twenty-eight years, Reverend Russell Hughes who passed in October, 2007. Margaret leaves three grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. Margaret also survived her first husband of sixteen years, Sidney Power. She will also be missed by her nieces and nephews and their families. A family memorial service will take place in the spring. Interment will be at the Queens Lawn cemetery , Grimsby, Ontario. Arrangements entrusted to the Mundell Funeral Home, 79 West St. N., Orillia, Ontario.

George Alfred “Alf“ McMillan

MCMILLAN, George Alfred “Alf“ - Peacefully at the Leacock Care Centre, Orillia after a courageous battle with diabetes and complications on January 22nd, 2008; in his 94th Year. Predeceased by his wife Clarice, two sisters and one brother. Will be missed by his family and also by his long time best friend and partner Julie Chrysler. Also by his extended Chrysler family and by his little buddy “Ian“ and his friends at the restaurant. Special thanks to Lorie Chrysler, his special coffee and lunch partner, for all the special care and love you gave “Alf“ especially the nights and times I couldn't be there with him in his two months in the hospital. Especially during and after his surgery, the thoughtfulness and support you gave me during that hard time was very much appreciated by “Alf“ and I both. Thanks to my family, all the kids that helped me with the 24 hour care, to help ease his pain and suffering. Also thanks to my son Mervyn for being with me the day “Alf“ passed away and to Christopher for what you did in the morning to be with “Alf“. Also Kevin and Darra for the help and support, my neighbours for the basket of fruits & flowers sent to the house. Also Area 5 at the Leacock Care Centre, thanks for your help and kindness. Also Rhonda at T.D.W. and Mundell Funeral Home for your kindness. A gift to honour in the memory of “Alf“ could be sent to The Canadian Diabetes Association. Cremation has taken place. SWITZER, Mary - Passed peacefully at Soldiers Memorial Hospital on Thursday February 6, 2008 in her 89th year. Mary, loving mother of Carolyn Miller of Orillia, David Switzer of Waubashene, and Douglas Switzer of Georgetown. Mary will be sadly missed by her many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great- grandchildren. Mary is the dear sister of Elizabeth Champlin of Rexdale and is predeceased by Frank Thomas of Gravenhurst. Memorial services to follow in the spring. VAN KOMMER, Joan Marie - Suddenly at home on February 2, 2008; at the age of 71. Beloved wife of the late Frans Van Kommer. Loving mother of Johana Van Kommer and Teresa Larmand. Cherished grandmother of Carrie Scott, Samantha Scott, Kodi Scott and Teanna Larmand. The family wishes to thank Dr. Lowry & staff for their exceptional care shown to Joan over the years. Hertha Lily Hiebert

HIEBERT, Hertha Lily - Hertha Lily Hiebert passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 6, 2008 at Tabor Manor in her 72nd year after a 33 year struggle with Multiple Sclerosis. She was received into the loving arms of Jesus where she is now walking those streets of gold, praising her Lord and Saviour whom she loved and served in her own quiet way. She is survived by her loving husband Jacob (Jake) and four children Nancy (Tom) Boese, Debbie (Dave) Murray, Chris (Loral) Derksen Hiebert and Vickie (Kelly) Willems. Grandchildren-Jodi, James, David, Meaghan, Andreas, Alexei, Stefan, Zak, Hannah, Sam. Predeceased by granddaughter Katie. She is also survived by her mother Katharine Hiebert and her brothers Al (Peggy) Hiebert, Herb (Barb) Hiebert, her sister Linda (friend Bob) Hiebert and sister-in-law Gloria Hiebert. A private family interment will take place at Victoria Lawn cemetery. A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at Fairview Church, 455 Geneva St., at 10:30am on Monday, February 11th. In lieu of flowers, those who wish, memorial donations may be made to The M. S. Society or Tabor Manor. Our heart felt thanks to the loving and caring staff at Tabor Manor.
