Muriel Temple (Cantlie) Petch (Nee Jamieson) - 12/01/2003

Peacefully on Sunday, November 30, 2003 in Ottawa, in her 95th year. Formerly of Montreal, she was predeceased by her beloved first husband, Lt. Col. Stuart Cantlie and her second husband Lt. Col. Charles Petch. Survived by her sons, Colonel James Cantlie (Ret'd)(Lorraine) of Ottawa, and Colin Cantlie (Marilyn) of Calgary, by her grandchildren Charles Cantlie of Jasper, Cynthia Cantlie (Dan Stephanson) of Ottawa, Susan Kempton (Howard) of Toronto, Craig Cantlie of Vancouver and Stephanie Cantlie of Calgary and by her great-grandchildren Julianna and Ethan Stephanson (Ottawa). Also survived by step-daughter Joan Camp (Ed) of Newport, Vermont. Predeceased by sisters Alice Errington and Betty Amory. At her request there will be no visitation with private funeral arrangements. In lieu of flowers, donations to a charity of your choice would be appreciated.

Maureen Pieters (nee Dunne) - 12/01/2003

Suddenly in hospital on Friday, November 28, 2003 in her 80th year. Dearly beloved wife of Roy and the late Louis Dion. Loving mother of Michael (Janet), Joanne Dion, Lucille Pakalnis (Vic) and Susan Pieters. Also loved by her grandson Peter Pakalnis. Dear sister of Patricia King. Predeceased by a brother Gerald and sister Ursala Mills. Private funeral arrangements. As an expression of sympathy, Memorial Contributions to the University of Ottawa Heart Institute, 2411 - 40 Ruskin Street, Ottawa, K1Y 4W7 would be appreciated.

Loving father of Patricia Richardson (Robert), Stephen, Pamela Snider (Robert) and the late David Peter. Devoted grandfather of David, Jeffrey, Kevin, Jenna and Trevor. Dear brother of Lillian Graham and the late Karl and Frank. Friends may visit at the St Laurent Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 1200 Ogilvie Road at the Aviation Parkway on Thursday, December 4, 2003 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be Celebrated at the Resurrection of Our Lord Roman Catholic Church, 1940 Saunderson Drive on Friday at 10:30 a.m. Memorial donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated.

Died peacefully at Stoneridge Manor on Thursday, November 27, 2003 at the age of 91 years. Dear husband of Irene Vau. Loving father of Juri (Epp) in Estonia and Andres (Anita) in Carleton Place. Cherished grandfather of Linnea and Mati. Missed by relatives in Estonia. Friends may visit at the West Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 150 Woodroffe Avenue at Richmond Road on Tuesday, December 9 from 11a.m. until the time of the service in the chapel at noon. At his home on Monday, November 24th, 2003. Beloved husband of Cecile "Pete" Saultry. Loving father of Susan (Tito Peralta) and Sean. Devoted Opa of Nataly and Kevin. Ray was an avid gardener and loved his family. A Celebration of Ray's life will be held at 2109 Hubbard Cres., Ottawa on Saturday, November 29th from 1 to 4pm. Donations to your local food bank would be appreciated.

(Nee Quinlan) At St. Patrick's Home on Thursday, November 27, 2003 in her 99th year. Beloved wife of the late William Orlaf Searle. Loving mother of Mary Doney (Rod) and the late Dr. Robert Q. Searle (Elizabeth Searle-Armstrong). Also loved by her six grandchildren Karen Davies (Brian), Lisa Bruneau (Rod), Rob Searle (Lynne), Bill Searle (Dani), Kelly Searle (Steve Jones), Kirsty Bryan (Steve) and ten great grandchildren Justin, Cameron, Sarah, Andrew, Matthew, Hunter, Anika, Madison, Samantha and Connor. There will be no visitation at the Funeral Home. A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Patrick's Home Chapel, 2865 Riverside Drive, Ottawa on Tuesday, December 2, 2003 at 10 a.m. Interment in Mount Royal cemetery , Montreal at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions to St. Patrick's Home of Ottawa, 2865 Riverside Drive, Ottawa, K1V 8N5 would be appreciated. Special thanks to all the staff at St. Patrick's Home for their loving care and compassion.

1924-2003 WWII Veteran Former Montreal Teacher and Principal On Monday, November 17, 2003 at Ottawa, ON after a life full of experiences, including being wounded in Normandy, July 1944. Husband of his beloved wife Ruth Krashevski. Father of Linda Kealey, Mary Shearman and Mark Kealey. Father-in-law of Bruce Kealey, Mary Shearman Reid and Steve Reid. Son of the late Ernest and Anna (Williams) Shearman. Brother of Elizabeth Hall, Frances Kent, Jean Shearman, John (Helen Lamb) and Stewart. Private interment at the National Military cemetery within Beechwood cemetery , Ottawa. Friends may attend a memorial service to be held at the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 315 McLeod Street, Ottawa at 11:00am on Saturday, November 22, 2003. Donations to a charity of your choice would be appreciated.

Margaret Henchman (nee Crowfoot) "Peggy" Sinclair - 11/24/2003

Peacefully at the Ottawa Hospital Civic Campus on November 23, 2003 at the age of 86. Wife of the late George Winston Sinclair. Mother of Elizabeth Williams (Roger), David (Susan) and Robert (Liliane). Grandmother of Jonathan and Nicholas Williams, Douglas (Joanna), Jessica Sinclair and Meagan Sinclair. Friends may visit at Trinity Anglican Church 1230 Bank Street on Wednesday, November 26, 2003 from 11a.m. until service time at 12noon. Friends may attend a Memorial Service at Rideau Park United Church, 2203 Alta Vista Drive, at 3 p.m., on Tuesday, December 2, 2003, followed by a reception. In lieu of flowers, those wishing may make a donation in his memory to the charity of their choice. Funeral arrangements in care of the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry.

Antoinette (Deguire) Therien - 11/24/2003

passed away peacefully, at the Montfort Hospital, on November 22, 2003 at the age of 85. Beloved wife for 60 years of Oswald Therien. Mother of Pierrette, Jean-Roch (Christiane), Claude (Sheryl), Fran ois (Debbie), Carole (Georges) and Guy (June). Sister of Maurice Deguire. She will be sadly missed by her grandchildren Guylaine (Sylvain), Marc-Andr (Jessica), Marc (France), Daniel (Kerri), Nicholas, Alexa, Aimee, Jaysun, Kory, M lanie (Lee), Eric (Leila), Carl (St phanie) and Alyssa; her great grandchildren Brandon, Samuel, Jaydan, Blake and Florence. She also leaves three special people: Fernand Jacob (Carole and Herv ), Michelle Bazinet and Lise Beauchemin. Special thanks to her goddaughter Michelle Dugal. She was predeceased by her parents Sophie Boisvenue and Anselme Deguire, one sister and three brothers. Friends may visit at the St-Laurent Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 1200 Ogilvie Road at Aviation Parkway on Tuesday November 25, 2003 from 2:00 to 5:00 and from 7:00 to 9:00 and Wednesday November 26, 2003 from 10am. A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, November 26, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. at Saint Louis Marie de Montfort Church, 749 Trojan Avenue. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or Montfort Hospital Foundation would be appreciated. The family would like to take this opportunity to express special thanks and their profound gratitude to all the dedicated staff of the Montfort Hospital (4 West).
