Peacefully on Sunday, Sept 11, 2005 Stuart McKenzie of Ottawa, Ont., at the age of 81 years. Beloved husband of Frances McKenzie son of Edith and Kenneth McKenzie. He will be sadly missed by his five children Steven (Judie), Bonnie, Dawn, Colin (Mary) and Timothy. Loving grandfather of 5 grandchildren Geoffrey, Jennifer, Jamie, Jessie, Thomas and Grandpa-Grandpa to Kyla. Stu served with distinction in the RCAF from 1943 to 1972 during which he was a peacekeeper with the UNEF in Gaza. He will also be remembered as a High School teacher at Pontiac Protestant High School. Stu proudly served with his fellow veterans as a member of the Royal Canadian Corps of Commissionaires. Friends may attend a memorial visitation at the Westboro Chapel of the Tubman Funeral Homes, 403 Richmond Road at Roosevelt on Wednesday, September 14, 2005 from 7-9 pm. A memorial service will be held in the chapel on Thursday, September 15, 2005 at 11 am. Interment of Cremated remains will take place at Campbell's Bay on Thursday, September 15, 2005 at 3 pm. Peacefully, surrounded by the family she loved, Hope Fancy (nee Sinclair) passed into a pain free world on Sunday January 28, 2007 1:05pm. She was predeceased by her parents, Pete and Gladys Sinclair and her brother Donald. Hope was the loving, devoted wife of John Fancy, mother of Sharon (Gilles) Roy, Keith (Michelle), John (Robyn), Susan (Ken), Lester and Joy (Robbie) Bisson. She loved all her grandchildren: Jason, Skye, Clayton, Curtis, Alyson, Bryan, Colin, Shawnee, Sophie, Lyndsay, Joey and Derek. Her sisters Bev, Barb and Betty loved her. Our mother was the New Year’s baby in Ottawa January 1, 1936. Visitors will be received at the Garden Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes, 3440 Richmond Road, Nepean (between Bayshore Dr. and Baseline Rd.) on Tuesday from 1-3 & 5-7 pm and again Wednesday at Knox United Church, 25 Gibbard Ave., Nepean from noon until time of memorial service at 2:00 pm. Peacefully with her family at her side, on Saturday, January 27, 2007, Dana ended her short but courageous 7 month battle with cancer at the young age of 18. She is survived by her mom Linda, sister and best friend Tara, as well as her father Rene (Sharon), along with Aunt Wendy, Uncle Bobby, cousins Jesse and Ryan, and her many friends and classmates at Canterbury High School. There are no words to express the gratitude for the love and support given to Dana and her family these past few months. It is truly inspiring how this community came together to help a family in need. Cliff was a long time employee of RL Crain ltd. Clifford and Eleanor spent many enjoyable years at the cottage on Rideau lake and retirement in Florida. Peacefully at Almonte General Hospital with her family at her side on Friday, February 2, 2007. Alma Olivia Giles (nee Clarke) of Cedar Hill (Pakenham), loving wife of the late Harvey Smithson Giles (2001). Alma is survived by her sisters Kaye (Cliff) Wilson of Richmond, ON and Laura (Gordon) Gellhorn of Calgary, AB. She is also survived by her sisters-in-law, Millie Lowe and Paula Giles, both of Almonte, her brothers-in-law, Howard Boal of Smiths Falls and Willard Giles of Pakenham. Alma was predeceased by her brothers, Thomson (the late Edna), Donald (the late Iva), and her sisters, Thelma (the late Grant) Anderson, Eileen (the late Elliot ) Shannon, Edith (the late Kelly) Coleman and Ruth (the late Dale) Bradley. She will be fondly remembered as “Aunt Alma” by three generations of nieces and nephews. Alma will hold a special place in the hearts of her nursing colleagues and many, many special friends. Sandy fought a courageous battle against cancer with such strength and optimism, she earned the title “The Warrior”. Sandra was a devoted wife to her true love and soul mate, Paul and proud, adoring Mom to Mathew, Paula and Cassandra Bradley. Sandy will be dearly missed by her parents Joan and the late Meb Scharfe and in-laws Bill and Isabel Bradley. She is also survived by brothers Randy (Donna), Blair (Sue), sister Judy (David), and brother-in-law Rich (Ann). She will be missed by her loving nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
