Beloved husband of Patricia Stephens and dear father of Kristen (Jeff Hoganson), Melanie (Paul Chedore) and step-father of Kelly Prudhomme, Tammy (Dwain Leblanc). Grumpa to Tyler, Jayden and Kennedy Hoganson; Anna Chedore; Jake and Charlotte Leblanc. A reception, for family, relatives and friends, in Ken's memory will be held in the Maple Terrace Room of the Tubman Funeral Homes, Garden Chapel, 3440 Richmond Road, Nepean (between Bayshore and Baseline Road) on Thursday, from 2 to 3:30 pm. Cremation with a private family inurnment will take place at Pinecrest cemetery. KOSCHADE, Johanna Beate Peacefully in the presence of her family on Monday December 1, 2003 at the age of 78. She is very much missed and will be lovingly remembered by her family and friends. She was the beloved wife of the late Karol Georg Koschade and was predeceased by her brother Lutz and her sister Doris. She is survived by her daughter Andrea (Bryan Rogers), her son Ralph, her sister Rita (residing in Germany) and nieces and nephews (also in Germany). Johanna was a kind and gentle woman, who loved her garden, the outdoors and her travels. She busied herself with her friends and her hobbies and managed to enjoy life to the fullest. She was still kayaking two months ago and gardening in October, before cancer robbed her of what should have been many more years. She was our mother and our best friend -- we are devastated at the loss. A service in Johanna’s memory will be held at Garden Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes, 3440 Richmond Road (between Bayshore Dr. and Baseline Rd.) Nepean, on Saturday, Dec. 6, at 1:30 p.m, followed by a reception at the (at). O'Manique - John Thomson Ph.D. It is with deep sadness that the family of John O'Manique announce his death, on Tuesday, December 2, 2003. John was the beloved husband of Pat (nee Terry), dear dad (and father-in-law) of Erin (Kevan Shantz), Colleen (Christie Gombay), Pattie (David Hone), Stephanie (Ian Wright) and Juliet (Ian Stephenson) and proud Grandpa to Amy and Jeremy, Sophie and Claire, Annie and Grace, Josephine and Alexandra, and baby Kenna. This multi-talented man was Distinguished Research Professor at the School of International Affairs, Carleton University, where he taught physics, philosophy, and development studies over the course of 35 years. John was a prolific author, and avid gardener, photographer, traveller, Nordic skier and a lover of music. He had a deep commitment to social justice and gender equality, and was a mentor and inspiration to many. His life was a gift to his family and friends.
