HATFIELD - Phyllis, peacefully after a long battle with cancer, at Marian Villa, London, on Wednesday, November 18, 1998. Phyllis Gertrude Hatfield (Raynham) of London, beloved wife of the late Hubert (1942), and dear sister of the late Rowland Raynham (1974) and Kathleen MacTavish (1994). Sadly missed by her nieces Carolyn Bere (Arthur), and Ann Lozon (Reg) of London, her nephew Bud Raynham (Mary Helen) of St. Thomas, and her niece Victoria Cliffe (Robert) of Port Stanley, and by several great-nieces and nephews. Friends may call on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the James A. Harris Funeral Home, Richmond Street at St. James, where the funeral service will be conducted Saturday, November 21 at 11:00 a.m. Interment in Tyrconnell cemetery. Memorial contributions to the Canadian Cancer Society or charity of your choice would be gratefully acknowledged.

HIEPLEH - At her residence on Wednesday, November 18, 1998. Mary Mildred Hiepleh of Aylmer in her 101st year. Beloved wife of the late Norman Hiepleh (1973). Dear Mother-in-law of Janet Hiepleh of R.R.#2, Springfield. Loving Grandmother to Wayne Hiepleh and wife Wendy of R.R.#7, Aylmer. Cherished by her great grandchildren Megan and Trevor. Predeceased by her son Keith Hiepleh in 1986; her parents John and Loretta (Pennington) Matthews; brothers Harry and Murray Matthews; sisters Florence Van Patter, Hazel Walker and Clare Brunner. Friends may call at the H.A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Friday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. where the funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 21, 1998 at 3:00 p.m. Interment , Aylmer cemetery.

JAMIESON (SIMONS) - Eleanor Mary of St. Thomas, on Wednesday, November 18, 1998, at the St. Thomas-Elgin General Hospital, in her 79th year. Former wife of the late Herbert Emerson Jamieson and dearly loved mother of Beverly Ann and her husband Jerry Speers of Sparta, Patricia Joan and her husband William Titchner of St. Thomas, Betty Lou McConkey of Woodstock and the late Gary Wayne Jamieson. Dear sister of Jean and her husband Tom Proctor, Betty and her husband John Crandall, Dorothy (Taylor) Hill, and Marg and her husband Jim Turner all of St. Thomas and the late Frederick Lloyd Simons. Sadly missed by a number of grandchildren, great grandchildren, 2 great, great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Resting at Williams Funeral Home, 45 Elgin St., St. Thomas where funeral service will be held Saturday at 1:00 p.m. Interment Elmdale cemetery. Visitation Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Remembrances may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or charity of choice. A tree will be planted by Williams Funeral Home as a living memorial to Eleanor.

JENKEN - At her residence on Monday, November 16, 1998. Eleanor Geraldine Jenken of R.R.#1 Belmont in her 73rd year. Beloved wife of the late Hiram D. Jenken (1993). Dear mother of Bev Jenken of R.R.#1 Belmont and Connie Stevens and spouse Doug Esler of Belmont. Loving grandmother to 6 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Also survived by a brother Leroy Richie and wife Evelyn of London. Friends may call at the H.A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Thursday 7-9 p.m. and Friday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. where the funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 21, 1998 at 1:00 p.m. Interment , Aylmer cemetery. Rebekah Lodge service will be held Friday 7:00 p.m. and Eastern Star service will be held Friday at 8:00 p.m. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.

SIMMONS - At Bon Secours Hospital, Grosse Pointe, Michigan on Wednesday, November 18, 1998. Mrs. Ann (Roche) Simmons of Harrison Twp., Mich., widow of Miron M. Simmons (Jan. 22, 1985), in her 92nd year. Mother of Mrs. Marge Lanane of Columbus, Ohio and Myron "Mike" Simmons and his wife Frances of Clinton Twp., Mich. Grandmother of Mrs. Maureen Ozar and her husband Robert of Lansing, Mich., Mrs. Anne Snel and her husband J.J. of Amsterdam, The Netherlands and Pat Simmons of Grand Ledge, Mich. Great grandmother of Rachel Ozar of Lansing, Mich. Sister of Mrs. Bridie Westerhout of St. Thomas and Mrs. Marjorie McLellan of Sarnia. Also survived by a number of nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Simmons was predeceased by a son-in-law, Thomas Lanane, by a sister, Mrs. Lana Yeo and by three brothers, Thomas, James and William Roche. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Holy Angels' Roman Catholic Church, St. Thomas on Saturday at 10 a.m. Interment in Holy Angels' cemetery. Sifton Funeral Home, 118 Wellington St., St. Thomas entrusted with the arrangements. There will be no public visitation at the Sifton Funeral Home.

STEVENSON - At his late residence on Wednesday, April 26, 2000. John Stevenson of London, Ontario, husband of the late Mrs. Harleene (Taylor) Stevenson (Sept. 8, 1997), inhis 86th year. Son of the late John and late Mary (Hunter) Stevenson. Father of the late Douglas David Stevenson (1942) and the late Richard Eden Stevenson (1944). At the request of Mr. Stevenson, there will be no funeral home visitation or funeral service. Following cremation, private interment in Christ (Anglican) Churchyard, Port Stanley. Memorial donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the C.N.I.B. gratefully acknowledged. Sifton Funeral Home, 118 Wellington St., St. Thomas entrusted with the arrangements.
