Kerr, Roy Robert
passed away at his home on Friday October 19, 2007 with his sons by his side. Loving and devoted husband of his late wife Betty. Loving father of Paul, Gordie and Curtis (Karen). Caring grandfather of Jamie, Dalton, Tyler and Justin. Caring brother of Paul. He will be missed by his family and friends. Friends may call at the Garden Chapel of The Tubman Funeral Homes, 3440 Richmond Road, Nepean from 12 noon to 1 pm on Sunday October 28, 2007 . A memorial Service will take place in the chapel at 1 pm. In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate donations to be made to the Palliative Care Outreach Program.

Jackman, Gwen
Jackman - Gwen Peacefully at Forest Hill Nursing Home on Tuesday October 23, 2007, in her 91st year. Predeceased by her beloved husband Ross Jackman and her brother Lloyd Tait. Loving mother of Steven Jackman (Julie) and Lynn Peskett (Jerry). Cherished grandmother of Larry and Robert Jackman, Sheri Cashman, and Lisa Young. She will also be missed by her five great-grandchildren. A private family service will be held at a later date. For those wishing, memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the charity of your choice.

Stevenson, Charles Franklin (Frank)
(WW II Veteran -R.C.A.F.)
Peacefully at Thorncliffe Place on Thursday October 25, 2007, in his 95th year. Born in Kindersley Saskatchewan, Frank was the son of the late Walter Stevenson and Edna Grigg. Survived by Gladys (nee Miller), his loving and devoted wife of 50 years. Also survived by his sister Helen Scott (Earl), his niece Louise Jamieson (late Dave), his nephews William (Sharone) and James Stevenson, and his grandnieces Tracey Jamieson and Stephanie Jamieson. Predeceased by his brother Allen. Frank will be fondly remembered by members of the Miller family. Visitation will be held at the Garden Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes, 3440 Richmond Road (between Bayshore Drive and Baseline Road), on Wednesday October 31st from 10 -11 a.m. Funeral service to follow in the chapel at 11:00 a.m. Inurnment in Saskatchewan at a later date. Gladys wishes to acknowledge the concern for and compassionate care provided to Frank during his final illness by the management and staff at Thorncliffe Place. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the charity of your choice.

Riach, Margaret
Died quietly at the Salvation Army Grace Manor in Ottawa at the age of 85 years on Wednesday, October 24, 2007. Beloved wife of Charles Murray Riach for 61 years. Devoted mother and mother-in-law of Barbara Jane Nicholls and Elizabeth Anne Riach (John Miller). Cherished grandmother of Colin and Madeleine Miller. Predeceased by her brother Ross Rance (Lillian). Friends may call at the Garden Chapel of the Tubman Funeral Homes, 3440 Richmond Road, Nepean (between Bayshore and Baseline Road) on Saturday, October 27, 2007 from 3-5 pm. Bartlett, Anne
Peacefully at the Queensway Carleton Hospital on Thursday October 25, 2007. Beloved wife of George, mother of Wendy (Ron). Predeceased by son Wayne, sister Stella (Bob) and brother John. Survived by sister Mary, grandchildren Tanya (Michael), Ronald (Pamela), Megan (Andrew) and great-granddaughter Phoenix. Also survived by nephews Joseph and Nicholas (Miriam) and niece Natalie. Great Aunt to Alicia, Jacob and Adam. A private memorial service will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.

Clark, Bessie Mae
Peacefully on Saturday, October 27, 2007 in her 89th year. She was dearly loved and will be sadly missed by her daughter Joan Ellis (Michael Sheridan). Beloved grandma to Steven Clark, Shawn Clark (Cathy Morrow), Matthew Clark (Kiley McLellan), Barbara (Lynden) Holmes and Kathryn (Shawn) Borgford. Very special great-grandma to Autumn Holmes, Mackayla Clark, Dane Borgford, Lachlyn Holmes and she will be missed as “Grandma Bessie” to Jaime, Dana and Mitchell Sheridan. She was predeceased by her sons Robert (Carol) and Wesley Clark. She is survived by her sisters Dorothy Byers, Hughetta Thoms and her brother Hudson (Joan) Stewart as well as many nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed by her long time neighbours Lorraine and Patricia Hitsman. Bessie began working at Winchester District Memorial Hospital in 1948 and then in 1956 joined Bell Canada, first in Winchester and later in Ottawa. She received numerous accolades from Bell Canada for years of perfect attendance on the job. She was a dedicated member of the bowling group “THE KEENE STRIKERS”. Friends may call at the Garden Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes, 3440 Richmond Rd ( between Baseline Rd. and Bayshore Dr.) Nepean on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Memorial service will be held in Woodroffe United Church, 207 Woodroffe Avenue, Ottawa on Wednesday at 1 p.m. Interment at a later date in Mapleridge cemetery , Winchester, Ontario. For those who wish, a memorial donation to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the Winchester District Memorial Hospital Foundation would be appreciated. The family wish to extend their thanks to the staff of West End Villa for their care and concern.

Sims, Gwendolyn Mary
Peacefully at St. Patrick’s Home at the age of 81 on Saturday October 27, 2007. Beloved wife of Roy Sims. Loving and cherished mother of Margo, Jeff (Lori), Tom and Beverley. Grandma will be fondly remembered by April, Amber, Ashley, Adam, Jack and Michael. Predeceased by her brother Kingsley and sister Dorothy. Suddenly, but peacefully at his daughter’s home with family. Survived by his beloved wife Roberta. Loving father of Janis Dupuis, Dayle Baich (Vance Game), and Shellee Reid (Colin). Proud and loving grandfather of Amy, Sonny, Jesse, Asia, Chelsea, Maggie, Ryanna and Ashton. A friend of Bill W. for 42 years with a long successful career in the insurance business. Fondly remembered by his nieces and nephews, Sheila and Don Fowler of St. Thomas (and children Don, Linda and Frances), Don and Carole Sutherland of Winnipeg, John and Dorothy Cameron of Calgary, Ron and Lloyd Cameron-Lewis of Mississauga, Harold Cameron of Toronto, Margie Cameron of New Denver, B.C., Ian and Joyce Cameron of Toronto, Don and Hiroko Cameron of Vancouver and Peter Cameron and Brenda Reid of Ottawa. Cherished great-uncle of Greg Cameron of Montreal, and Lisa and Kenny Cameron of Ottawa. Uncle Ken touched the hearts of many others including Bud and Gladys McGinnis of Ottawa. Munro, Florence
passed away peacefully, at the Almonte General Hospital Rosamond Wing on Wednesday, October 31, 2007. age 93 years. Florence was born in Balaclava, Ontario September 15, 1914, the eldest daughter of Claude and Jean Wark. She was predeceased by her husband Wilbert (April 2, 2007). Beloved mother of Ev Barr (Pat McAuliffe), Eldon (Rita), Norma Blair (Herb), Glen (Elaine) and Barry (Dianne Healey). Proud grandmother of 17 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren. Much loved sister of Peg Cotteril and Hazel Fraser. Predeceased by her brother Roy and sister Rae. passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on Monday, October 29th, 2007 in her 89th year. Predeceased by her husband George. She is survived by her twin sister Violet (England). Loving mother of Heather “Kim” Mantha and her husband Michel, and John and his wife Sally - who was like a second daughter. Adoring grandmother of Cara and Ryan. Sadly missed by nephew Grant (Belgium) and also by Gentille and Buddy. A service will be held at Capital Memorial Gardens for close family members only.
