GILROY, Shirley Winnifred -
After a long illness, at Hillsdale Manor on Wednesday, November 28, 2001. Shirley (nee Martin) in her 77th year. Beloved wife of the late William Gilroy. Loving mother of (George of Oshawa and Esther (Gaudett and Kevin Lake of Sterling, Ont. Fondly remembered by her grandchildren Richard, Jennifer, Kimberly and great-grandchild Ruby Ann. Dear sister of Marguerite Antonuk, Lawrence Martin and the late Frederick Martin. Relatives and friends may pay their respects at the McINTOSH-ANDERSON FUNERAL HOME Ltd., 152 King SL E., Oshawa (905-433-5558) on Friday from 7-9 p.m. A service will be held in the chapel on Saturday, December 1, 2001 at 11:00 a.m. Interment Pine Grove cemetery , Prince Albert.

KRASINSKI, Tom Peter -
To all family, friends and acquaintances of Torn Peter Krasinski. Beloved father of Patricia Taylor of Chatsworth and Cynthia Anthony of Grafton. Dear brother of Ju1ia Kerluke of Hamilton and Frances Lewis of Oshawa. Respected grandfather of Justin, Daron, Armanda, Jennifer, Eric and Maryanne. Past away quietly on Wednesday, November 28, 2001 at 2:30 a.m. at the age of 71. The immediate family will hold a small private service at St. Gregory’s cemetery , December 5, 2001. If you would like to pay tribute to his memory, please do so by making a donation to the Canadian Cancer Society, through McINTOSH- ANDERSON FUNERAL HOME LTD., 152 King St. E., Oshawa (905-433-5558). (Retired 43 year employee of General Motors of Canada; Veteran W.WII). After a lengthy illness, at Lakeridge Health Corp. Bowanville, on Wednesday, November 28, 2001), Robert, in his 76th year. Husband and companion of Joan for 51 years. Loving father of Patricia and her husband Brian Bent of Oshawa, Evelyn McGrath of Toronto and Allan McGrath of Oshawa. Dear grandfather of Andrew Bent. Brother of Clifford, Edward and Jeffery McGrath and predeceased by brothers Harry and William and sisters Marguerite, Jean and Betty. Brother-in-law of William and Norma Burnett. Remembered by many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may pay their respects at the McINTOSH-ANDERSON FUNERAL HOME Ltd., 152 King St. B., Oshawa (9O5-433-5558) on Friday from 2-4 and 7~9 p.m. A service will be held in the chapel on Saturday, December 1, 2001 at 1:30p.m. Followed by cremation. SMART, Garry Douglas -
Of Nanaimo in his 54th year. Suddenly on Nov 28th at Victoria, B. C., Beloved son of Elizabeth (Dolly) & Douglas Smart of Oshawa. Devoted father of Amelia & Jamie. Big brother of Sharon Fisher & Colleen Paterson & loving uncle to Jennifer & Angela Fisher & Monica & Gregory Paterson as well as proud great-uncle of Elizabeth Fisher. Garry was a graduate of McLaughlin Collegiate, Oshawa & attended Guelph University, receiving his degree from Nanaimo University. His studies had been interrupted for quite a number of years by his work in the newspaper industry initially as a sports photographer & progressing to reporter & eventually editor. He was in the midst of working to fulfill his lifelong dream of obtaining his Masters & a professorship by attending the University of Victoria when hesuffered a massive heart attack. Garry is resting at the Mt. Benson Funeral Home, 125 Wallace St., Nanaimo, B.C. Funeral service to take place, Monday Dec. 10 at 4:00pm.

FERGUSON, Christopher -
At Lakeridge Health Bowmanville, on Wednesday, November 28, 2001, in his 88th year. Christopher will be missed by staff and fellow residents at Fosterbrooke Long Term Care Facility, Newcastle. A graveside service was held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, November 30, at Bond Head cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to the NEWCASTLE FUNERAL HOME.

GIBSON, Grace Margaret -
passed away peacefully at Hillsdale Manor, Oshawa on Tuesday November 27th, 2001. Beloved wife of the late Joseph Arthur Gibson. Loving mother of Tom and his wife Lis, and Bob. Predeceased by her brother Ebert Thomas. The Gibson family wish to thank the staff of Hillsdale Manor, with special thanks to Diane, Mary-Jo, Andrea and Gale for their special care of Grace. Resting at The Armstrong Funeral Home 124 King Street East with Funeral service in the Chapel on Thursday November 29th, 2001 at 3:00 P.M. Donations to the Alzheimers Society would be appreciated. Brother of Rita, the late Leo and the late Angus. REID, George A. -
(33 year employee of General Motors, Canada and long time Ten Pin Bowler). Peacefully at Lakeridge Health-Oshawa on Tuesday, November 27th, 2001 at the age of 74. Loving husband of Josie (nee Gangemi). Caring father of Harold and his wife Wendy of B.C., Dan and his wife Trish of Toronto, Ed of Whitby, David of Alberta and step daughter Cathy and Joanne. George will be fondly remembered by his grandchildren Lisa, Harold Jr., Sherrene, Cathleen, Willy Jr., Brascia, Morgan and great grandchildren Krystal, Amber, and Rehkela. He is survived by his sister Mary and husband Jim Haggeman of Campbellford and Helen Reid of BelIeville and brother Bill and his wife Edith, and Dan and his wife Helen all of Springbrook. George is predeceased by his parents Arthur and Augusta Reid and brothers Jack and Mort. He will be missed by his many nieces, nephews and friends. CAUCHI, Edward (Eddy) -
passed away on Monday, November 26th, 2001 in Brampton at the age of 74 after suffering with asbestosis for many years; retired employee of the Johns-Manville Company; former resident of Whitby and Oshawa. Beloved husband of Carmen. Ed will be lovingly remembered by Grace North (Wayne), Joe Vella (Rita), Jim Vella (Lynne), Harry Vella (Mary) and grandchildren, Jamie, Klerilyn, Jeffrey, Rene, Laura, Alison and Michelle; and great granddaughter Megan; survived by his sister Sally and niece Maryann of Whitby and many relatives in Malta. In 1992 Eddy proudly received the Commemorative Medal for the 125th Anniversary of Canadian Confederation which was awarded to persons who made a significant contribution to Canada, to their community or to their fellow Canadians. Eddy spent the last forty years fighting for the rights of injured workers and the unemployed. He was a member of the Ontario Network of Injured Workers, Injured Workers of Ontario (Toronto chapter) and the Asbestos Victims of Ontario. Dear mother of Sylvia and her husband Gordon Kilpatrick of Ajax and the late Sheila and her husband John Infusini. Loved grandmother of Scott and his wife Michelle, Troy and his wife Kathy, Lavinia and her husband Mike Gallagher and Roxanne and her husband Jim Hill. Great-grandmother of Samantha, Summer, Caitlin, Devyn, Cameron, Chevonne, Olivia and Jonathan. Dear sister of Walter Park and his wife Doreen, Joyce Murney and her late husband Chuck, and the late David Park and his wife Helen, Enid Steele and her husband Howard and Jim Park survived by his wife Lila. Sister-in-law of Dorothy wife of the late George Coverly and the late Stan and Pearl Coverly. Also survived by her many nieces and nephews. Sadly missed by her good friends Aida and Murray Adams. JENKIN, Marion ‘Molly” (nee Lewington) -
Peacefully, at HillsdaIe Manor on Monday, November 26, 2001, in her 86th year. Predeceased by husband C.H. (Nick) Jenkin. Loving mother of Brian and his wife Shelley and Liz Forder and her husband John. Cherished Grandmother of Greg and Lisa (Kent) and greatgrandmother of Mackenzie Anne. Sadly missed by her nieces and nephews. A private family service will be held at St. Gregory the Great cemetery , Oshawa, on Friday, November 30, 2001. Loving sister of Melbourne Fraser of Midland, Milton Fraser of Deseronto and the late Luella Courneyea. She will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Fondly remembered by friends and neighbors. Predeceased by parents Frederick and Ida. Cremation.
