Loving stepfather to Dianne Malchow of Oshawa, Fred Gilbert and his wife Cheryl of Oshawa and John Gilbert and his wife Kim of Toronto. Loving grandfather of sixteen, and great grandfather of seven. Ross was a pressman at The Oshawa Times for 46 years. He started there fresh out of Whitby High School at the age of 18 years old. He played hockey for The Oshawa Times for many years. He was also active with the Cadets and the Cadet band. Hamilton District "B" 1991-1992 and Lodge Secretary for 15 years, a Past President and Charter Member of the Burlington Probus Club, and a former member of the Burlington Golf and Country Club.
