COLEMAN, Christopher Michael
December 7th, 1962 – October 16th, 2013

Long-time employee of Apex Motor Express CAW Local 4268. Went into the arms of his beloved Mother on Wednesday, October 16th, 2013. Predeceased by his parents Lynne Nash of Frankford and Jack Coleman of Toronto, his brother John Coleman of Belleville and by his niece Stephanie Coleman. Sadly missed by his sister Cheryl (Leo) McCarthy of Courtice as well as his sister in- law Carol Coleman of Seagrave. Much loved Uncle of Sommer, Brooke, Eden, Carolynne, Sarah, Caitlind and Lindsey. Chris will also be missed by his great- nephews Nathan, Jonathon and Nicholas. A Celebration of Chris’s life will take place Saturday November 9th, 2013 from 2pm to 5pm at Beacon Marina located at 1 Marina Dr., Caesarea, Ontario. Memorial donations may be made to the Loyalist Humane Society (P.O. Box 6108, Picton, Ontario. K0K 2T0). Arrangements entrusted to the LOW AND LOW FUNERAL HOME, 1763 Reach St., Port Perry (905) 985-7331.

DAVIDSON, Ann Janet

After a long, arduous, and debilitating series of illnesses, Ann escaped the confines of Earth at 10:46 PM, on October 22, at the age of 81 to join with her predeceased beloved son Jamie, her brother John, her mother Eileen, and her father Arthur. She leaves behind, to remember their 61 years of loving marriage, her husband Jim, devastated son Kent and daughter-in-law Kathy, grandchildren Alex, Jimmy, Kaitlyn, and Louis, niece Debbie and husband Steve, nephew Jimmy and wife Lynn, grandnephew James and wife Dana, grandniece Kimberly and husband Johnathon, great- great nephews Nathan and Coleman, great- great nieces Paige and Riley, and great- great- great nephew Benjamin. The family apologizes to her many friends but in accordance with her wishes, a private family farewell has taken place in Thornhill cemetery beside Jamie and close to her mother and father. The family would like to thank the doctors and nursing staff at Port Perry Hospital and Oshawa General Hospital who made her last week of life bearable. If desired, a donation made in Ann’s name to Port Perry Hospital Foundation (481 Paxton St. L9L 1A8) would be greatly appreciated. Godspeed darling, we all love you and we will all miss you for the rest of our lives. Say hi to Jamie. Arrangements entrusted to the Low and Low Funeral Home, Port Perry (905-985-7331).

YAKELEY, Garnet Hepburn (HAP)

passed away peacefully at Uxbridge Cottage Hospital after a short battle with cancer on October 21, 2013 in his 77th year. Beloved husband of Shirley (Miller) for 54 years. Father of Debbie (Will) Wlasiuk, Penny (Brent) Widdifield, Kim (Brad) Morrison, Deanne (Rick) Sweet. Loving grandfather of Amber (predeceased), Holly, Chesley, Levi, Quinn, Gregory, and Madeline. Great-grandfather of Austin. Cremation with Celebration of Life to follow. Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.

Rice, Ronald John
February 19, 1930 – October 20, 2013

passed away Sunday, October 20, 2013 at the Uxbridge Cottage Hospital. Ron will be deeply missed by his family and friends. In keeping with Ron’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A private Celebration of Ron’s Life is planned for a later date. Arrangements entrusted to Low & Low Funeral Home Uxbridge, (905)852-3073.

RAE, James (Jim) William

Of Manchester, Ontario died suddenly on Monday, October 7th, 2013 while doing what he loved best – selling Rambler car parts at a car show in Hershey, Pennsylvania. Jim was 63 years old. He was born on July 14, 1950 in Stouffville, Ontario. He attended Lemonville Public School and Stouffville High School. Jim worked many jobs before realising his dream of becoming a licensed mechanic with a special passion for restoring Ramblers. Jim was a long time member of the Northern Ramblers Car Club and served for many years as President. Jim always had a smile for everyone even when his beloved Maple Leafs missed the playoffs again – at least he could remember when they won the Stanley Cup. Jim is survived by his beloved and cherished best friend Jane Brose, his daughters Debbie Biot (Dionisio Biot) of Bolton and Beverly Rae Mowat (Carmine Salerno) of Brampton, his son Darryl Rae (Chantelle Kelly) of Stouffville and his adored grandchildren; Jenna, Sabrina, Daphnie and Gabriel Biot. Jim will also be terribly missed by his father James Rae of Stouffville, brother David Rae (Nancy) of Mount Forest, and sisters Karen Rae of Stouffville and Lynn Rae of Newmarket as well as Jane’s parents Norma and Ken Brose, his many nieces, nephews, great- nieces and great-nephews. Predeceased by his mother, Evelyn Rae (Beach). Friends and family will be received at the Low and Low Funeral Home, 1763 Reach St., Port Perry (905-985-7331) for visitation on Wednesday, October 16, 2013 from 5-9p.m. A Celebration of Jim’s Life will take place in the chapel on Thursday, October 17th at 2p.m. with visitation from 12-2p.m. Reception to follow. In memory of Jim, please consider a donation to the Canadian Diabetes Society or the Canadian Heart and Stroke Foundation.

SMITH, Morley Leroy

passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 9, 2013 at the Uxbridge Cottage Hospital in his 96th year. Predeceased by his first wife Nettie as well as his second wife Jean. Survived by his daughter Barbara (Bill) Menar, his grandchildren; Angela (Henry), Linda (Shawn) and Stephen (Melinda) and great-grandchildren; Christine, Megan, Ashley and Alex. Morley will also be remembered by his sisters Eileen and Florence and his brother Grant. Family and friends will be received at the Low and Low Funeral Home, 23 Main St. S., Uxbridge (905-852-3073) for visitation on Thursday, October 10, 2013 from 6-8p.m. Morley will be laid to rest at a Graveside Service in Sandford cemetery on Friday, October 11, 2013 at 11a.m. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Uxbridge Cottage Hospital Foundation.

Guinane, Peter William

Early on Sunday, October 6th, Peter, ”the good guy”, left us unexpectedly after battling health issues for over a year. He was a son of the late Jim and Rita Guinane; loving husband and best friend of Carol; dear father of Patrick and Peter Jr. (Lani); Grandad to Jack and Will; brother of Mary Helen (Dick Taylor), Jimmy (Mary Anne), John (Nina), and twin brother, Paul. Brother-in-law of Barb (Ron Spotton); Uncle Pete to Bill (Linda), David (Jackie), Brenda (Livy Visano), Bev (Herb Poole), Jim (Teresa), Nancy (Jeff Burrell) and their families. Also survived by his Sullivan and Nobert cousins. He will be remembered for his loyalty, caring, sense of humour and good looks. Grateful thanks for all the support given to our family at this sad time. There will be a Memorial Mass said on Friday, October 18, 2013 at 2 p.m. at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, 70 Toronto Street North, Uxbridge, with a reception to follow. passed away suddenly at his home on Saturday October 5, 2013. Leonard Bobbie dearly beloved husband of Elaine. Loved grandfather to Jeff (Jen), Josh (Bobbie), Jade (Wes), Ericka, Jenna, Elysha, Brittany, Shane, Kate and Emma. Leonard was G.G. Papa to Ashlea, Jazmin, Isaac, Davon, Kaine, Jeffrey and Lily. Much loved brother to Dorothy (Carl), Marion (Ken), Rose (Goldie), Lillian (Morris) and Bill (Sharen). Family and friends will be received at the Low and Low Funeral Home 1763 Reach Street, Port Perry (905) 985-7331 on Wednesday October 16, 2013 from 12 to 1 p.m. A memorial service to celebrate the life of Leonard will be held in the chapel on Wednesday October 16, 2013 at 1 p.m. A reception will follow at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario or the Diabetes Association would be appreciated.

Bell, Bonnie Jean

passed away at Lakeridge Health in Port Perry on Thursday October 3, 2013. Bonnie Bell dearly beloved wife of William (Bill) Bell of Port Perry. Loving mother of John Bell, Anita (Dave) Booth and Teri (Guy) St. Pierre. Dear grandmother of Ashley, Chris, Vicky, Jeffrey, Josie, Mason and great grandmother of Chase. Dear sister of Bill (Linda) Jeffrey and predeceased by Ivan and will be sadly missed by her sister in law Heather Jeffrey. Bonnie will be sadly missed by all her family and many friends. Family and friends will be received at the Scugog Island United Church, Island Road, Port Perry on Tuesday October 8, 2013 from 10 to 11 a.m. A funeral service will be held at the church at 11 a.m. Cremation will follow. Following the service a reception will be held at the Scugog Island Community Centre. In lieu of flowers memorial donations to the Scugog Island United Church would be appreciated.

Cooper, Shirley (Cairns)

passed away peacefully at 77 years of age at Bon Air Nursing Home on September 27, 2013 with family by her side. Survived by Gerry, beloved husband of 54 years. Sister Ruby Ewing, daughters Bobbi Edwards (Pete), Rosie Thurley, Cathy Turcotte (Al) and greatly missed by seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. At Shirley’s request there will be no service. A celebration of her life will be held in the near future.
