Marshall, Robert Edward

passed away on January 12, 2013 due to complications from pneumonia. He will be sadly missed by his wife Mary Anne (Bid), his sons Donald and Michael and their families. As per Bob's wishes, there will be no funeral and he will be cremated.

Noble, Dr. Allan James

passed away on Thursday, January 10, 2013 at Country Home Care Stouffville at the age of 83. Allan was predeceased by his wife Kay (Bartlett) and his daughter Shelley. Dear father to son Rick and his wife Kim and to daughter Kimberley. Proud grandfather to Katie, Kevin, Addison and Sydney. Allan graduated from the University of Toronto Medical School in 1954; was a general practitioner in Uxbridge, ON for two years before deciding to specialize in Pathology. He trained at Toronto East General Hospital for 5 years before becoming Chief Pathologist at Scarborough Centenary Hospital from its opening in 1967 until his retirement in 1993. Allan belonged to the Rotary Club of North Scarborough for a number of years. He was past president and Paul Harris Fellow. He was an avid skier, golfer, and cottager. Allan is resting at the Low & Low Funeral Home Uxbridge, 23 Main St. South (905)852-3073. Visiting on Sunday, January 13, 2013 from 2-4 and 7-9pm. Funeral service was held in the chapel on Monday at 2pm. Interment Uxbridge cemetery. Reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations to your charity of choice would be much appreciated.

Wilson, Joan May

passed away peacefully in her sleep at the Port Perry Community Nursing Home on Monday, January 7, 2013 in her 84th year. Beloved wife of James Wilson. Loving mother of Brian, Carl, Glen and Gayle. Cherished nana of Graham, Kyle, Michael and Chris. Survived by her brother Ken Dwytie. She will be dearly missed by the Wilsons, Sinclairs, Scherers and Garrows. Family and friends will be received at Low & Low Funeral Home 1763 Reach St., Port Perry, (905) 985-7331 on Saturday, January 12, 2013 from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. A memorial service to celebrate the life of Joan was held in the chapel on Saturday at 2 p.m. Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stoke Foundation of Ontario.

Skinner, Mary Lou

passed away suddenly on January 4, 2013 at Sunnybrook Medical Centre in Toronto at the age of 62. Mary Lou Skinner, dearly beloved wife of George Skinner of Ashburn. Loving mother of Anthony, Lauren and Dallas(Terrilynn). Dear sister of Barbara, Theresa, and predeceased by Gerry. Mary Lou will be sadly missed by all her family, and many friends. A service to celebrate Mary Lou was held on Saturday January 12, 2013 at 11am from the Brooklin United Church(19 Cassels Road East, Brooklin, Ontario L1M 1A4). Donations in Mary Lou’s memory may be made to the Oddette Cancer Centre at the Sunnybrook Hospital. Arrangements entrusted to Low & Low Funeral Home Port Perry (905) 985-7331.

Olsen, Margaret

Margaret Olsen (nee Rivet), dear wife and mother, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 4, 2013 in her 89th year. Beloved wife of Arthur for 63 years. Dear mother of Lynda (Clive), Janet (Mark), and Eric (Barb). Proud Nana to Graeme (Sarah), Evan, Alex, Teagen and Jeffrey. Great-Nana to Zoe, Callum and Ewan. Always loved, NEVER forgotten. A celebration of Margaret's life was held on Saturday, January 12, 2013 at 11:30 a.m. at the Low and Low Funeral Home, 1763 Reach Street, Port Perry, (905) 985-7331. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Port Perry Hospital Foundation.

Barks, Bruno James

passed away on Thursday, January 3, 2013 at Uxbridge Cottage Hospital at the age of 90. Bruno will be remembered by his wife Lourette and his son Richard. A funeral service was held at Low and Low Funeral Home, 23 Main St. S., Uxbridge (905) 852-3073 on Sunday, January 6, 2013 at 2 p.m. in the chapel, with visiting from 1 p.m. until the time of service. Reception will follow.

Christiansen, Ruby

passed away at Uxbridge Cottage Hospital on Monday,December 31, 2012 at the age of 87. Ruby Christiansen, wife of the late Edwin Christiansen. Loving mother of Philip. Dear grandmother of Robert (Heather) and Sherry. Great grandmother of Jannette, Sarah, and R.J.. Sister of Ralph Westland and predeceased by her sisters Eleanor and Lois. Ruby will be sadly missed by all her family and many friends. Family and friends will be received at St. Paul’s Church Leaskdale, 12251 Regional Rd #1, Leaskdale, ON, Friday, January 4, 2013 from 1-2pm. A Memorial Service to celebrate the life of Ruby will be held at the Church at 2pm. A reception will follow. Interment has taken place at St. Andrews cemetery Markham. Memorial donations to St. Paul’s Church Leaskdale or a charity of your choice would be appreciated. Sanderson, William

passed away after a short illness at the Uxbridge Cottage Hospital on Monday, December 31, 2012. William Sanderson, dearly beloved companion of Evelyn Machesney. Loving Father of David and Chuck (Margie). Loving Grandfather to Mathew. William will be sadly missed by all his family and friends. Dawson, Muriel Cora

passed away peacefully at Port Perry Hospital on Thursday, December 27, 2012 in her 92nd year. Born in Scugog on June 27, 1921. Beloved daughter of the late William and Cora Dawson. Fondly remembered by her nieces and nephews, also her sister June Spence. Predeceased by her brothers Earl and Bruce Dawson and sisters Lorna Weatherall/Corner, Alta Dawson, Eunice Finch and Doreen Blakely, sister in law of Floyd Finch. A special thanks to the residents of West Shore Village in Port Perry where Muriel called home. Resting at Low & Low Funeral Home 23 Main Street South, Uxbridge (905)852-3073. Visitation took place between 4-7pm on Saturday, December 29, 2012. A service was held on Sunday December 30, 2012 at 2pm in the chapel. Baker, Stanley Warren James
December 25, 1924 – December 24, 2012

Received into God’s loving arms, Stanley left earth on Monday, December 24, 2012 with his family by his side. Stanley was the devoted and loving husband of Dorothy Irene Baker (nee: Richardson) for 65 years. Father and mentor to son Bradley Warren James Baker of Sandford and daughter Susan Elaine Hopkins of Innisfil and a supportive and loving father in law to Cathryn Baker and Christopher Hopkins. He was a special grandpa to six grandchildren; Jocelyn, Jeffrey, Carolyn (deceased), and Mackenzie Baker and Tyler and Spencer Hopkins. He shared in every success, joy, accomplishment and challenge they have faced. A RCN WWII veteran, Stanley at the age of 18 years enlisted in the RCN and made 22 crossings of the Atlantic to defend and protect his country for the life we all enjoy today. A life so well lived and shared with the love of his life Dorothy, Stanley touched so many lives with endearing and engaging conversations within the community, the church, friends and family. A celebration of his life and accomplishments will be held at the Sandford United Church (405 Sandford Road, Sandford, Ontario L0C 1E0) on Thursday, January 3, 2013 at 1:30 p.m. A reception to follow at Low and Low Funeral Home (23 Main Street, South, Uxbridge) (905) 852-3073. Memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the Uxbridge Cottage Hospital.

Titus, Leona Elaine
September 19, 1943 - December 14, 2012.

Peacefully, slipped away on Friday, December 14, 2012 at Frost Manor Nursing Home in Lindsay, ON. In her 69th year. Leona will be deeply missed by her children; Rose Titus of Woodville, Charles Titus of Sunderland, Teresa Andrus of Uxbridge and Denise (Patrick) Rose of Jackson's Point. Dear step-mom to William (Sharon) Andrus of Aurora, Bob Andrus of Madoc, Rick Andrus of Keswick and Linda (Frank) Tuttle of Keswick. Fondly remembered by her 10 grandchildren, 9 step-grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her brother Archie Statham. Resting at Low and Low Funeral Home, 23 Main Street, South, Uxbridge (905) 852-3073, where a funeral service was held on Tuesday, December 18, 2012 in the chapel at 2:00 p.m. Visitation 1 hour before. Cremation followed. In Leona's memory, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Society to support research and care.

passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 13, 2012 at Uxbridge Cottage Hospital. A funeral service was held on Monday, December 17, 2012 at the Low and Low Funeral Home, 23 Main Street, South, Uxbridge (905) 852 - 3073 at 11:30 a.m. with visiting from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. A reception followed. Interment Mount Pleasent cemetery , 375 Mount Pleasant Road, Toronto. In Eileen's memory donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Society or the Canadian Cancer Society.
