Watson, Keith Alexander

passed away peacefully at the farm surrounded by love and his faithful dog on Wednesday, July 11, 2012 in his 85th year. His daughter Jill, son-in-law Tim and grandsons Aaron and Brandon are thankful to have had him in their lives. He was Dad-Dad and friend to so many others as well. Visitation will be held on Friday, July 20, 2012 at Low and Low Funeral Home, 23 Main St. S. Uxbridge (905) 852-3073 from 7-9 p.m and Saturday, July 21, 2012 from 12-1 p.m, with Memorial Service to follow at 1 p.m. Donations to the Salvation Army or the Uxbridge/Scugog Animal Shelter gratefully accepted.

Neveu, Jeri (nee: Harriet VandenBeek)
January 15, 1936 – July 10, 2012

Heaven is filled with music now as Jeri has gone to be with her husband, Lou. Jeri will be deeply missed by her children, Jeff (Sunju), Lance (Treena), Jennifer (Antony), her grandchildren Alexa, Landon, Ben, Hannah, Isabel, Jessie and Autumn. Jeri’s legacy of strength, fighting so many illnesses for 32 years, has finally given way to her rest. Jeri performed as Jeri Jae Jordan, singing in Toronto through the 50s and 60s, performing with many of the city’s top jazz musicians. She and Lou opened Neveu Music Centre in Agincourt in the late 60s and later, the group of music stores through Pickering and Uxbridge, Encore Music. Her beauty, talent, charm and tenacity will forever be remembered by her family and friends. Visitation to be held at Low and Low Funeral Home, 23 Main St. S. Uxbridge (905) 852-3073 from 12-2 pm, Sunday, July 15, 2012 followed by a funeral service at 2 pm.

Bayley, June Elsie

passed away peacefully at the Extendicare Nursing Home in Port Hope on Tuesday July 10, 2012 in her 94th year. June Bayley wife of the late Jim Bayley formerly of Greenbank Airport. Loving mother of Brent and his wife Jenny Bayley and Mark and his wife Brenda Bayley. Proud grandmother of Morgan (Meghan) Bayley, Emma (Justin) Mac Gregor, Lucy (Jason) Mitchell and great-grandmother of Ben, Noah, Olivia, Sophia and Charlotte. June will be sadly missed by her sister Dorothy, nieces, nephews, family and friends. Family and friends will be received at the Low and Low Funeral Home 1763 Reach Street, Port Perry, (905) 985-7331 on Friday July 13, 2012 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. A funeral service to celebrate the life of June will be held in the chapel on Friday July 13, 2012 at 1 p.m. Interment at Greenbank Bethel cemetery. A reception will be held at the funeral home. If so desired, donations in memory of June may be made to Alzheimers Society or the C.N.I.B.

Dawson, Audrey Jean (nee: Palmer)

Of Claremont, Ontario passed away quietly on July 9, 2012 in her 88th year. Predeceased by her husband Gerard Arthur. She will be missed by her sons; Gerry (Inger), Randy (Ingrid), Rick (Heather) and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at the Claremont United Church, 5052 Old Brock Rd., Claremont on Friday, July 13, 2012 at 1:00p.m. Reception to follow. Coburn, Arnold Lenard
April 16, 1930 - June 2, 2012

passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 2, 2012 at Lakeview Manor, Beaverton at the age of 82. Beloved husband of Eudella (nee Salisbury). Dear father to Garry, Sandy (deceased) (Art), Lenard (Jane), and Connie (Tony). Cherished grandfather to Michael (Courtney), Brian (Beth), Holly, Nathan, Amy, Kaitlen, Kyle, Laura, Rebecca and Megan. Proud great-grandfather to Sam, Aidan, Jordan, Mackenzie and Spencer. A memorial service celebrating Arnold’s life will be held at the Low and Low Funeral Home, 23 Main St. S., Uxbridge (905) 852-3073 on Thursday, July 26th, 2012 at 2p.m. with visitation for one hour prior. Inurnment to take place in Uxbridge cemetery.

Irene L. Armstrong
January 23, 1912 - July 5, 2012

Irene passed away at Lakeview Manor, Beaverton in her 101st year. She was predeceased by her husband John in 1966. Loving mother to son Bruce (Winnifred) Armstrong, and daughter Patricia (Richard) Fockler. She was Nana to Debbie (Glenn), Rob (Cathy), Donna (Ian), Kimberley, Nicole (deceased), Michael (Tara), and Great-Nana to Jonathon, Jennifer, Ashley, Taylor, Lindsay, Nicholas, Caleb, Katelyn, Hailey and Courtney. As per Irene’s wishes no funeral service will be held. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Low and Low Uxbridge. Donations in her memory may be made to the Gideons, Salvation Army or a charity of your choice.

Handley, Mildred L.

passed away peacefully at the Uxbridge Cottage Hospital with family by her side on Thursday, July 5, 2012 at 96 years young. Cherished and loving wife of Harvey for 64 years. Dear sister of Ted Croxall (Corinne). Loved and missed by nieces and nephews and a friend to many. A Funeral Service will be held at the Sharon-Hope United Church (18648 Leslie St. Sharon, Ontario) on Tuesday, July 10, 2012 at 11 a.m. with visiting from 10 - 11 a.m. Reception to follow. Private interment to be held at the Uxbridge cemetery. In Mildred’s memory donations may be made to the Sharon-Hope United Church or a charity of your choice.

Kealey, Thomas, Francis
(May 13th, 1923 - July 3rd, 2012)

Peacefully, surrounded by his loving family at the Ross Memorial Hospital, Lindsay. On Tuesday, July 3, 2012 in his 90th year. Tom beloved husband of 56 years to Helena. Dear father to Kathleen (Martin) Chabot, William and Maureen (David) Scott. Loving papa to Meagan, Michael Scott and Ian Kealey. Tom was a 35 year employee of Enbridge Consumer Gas. A funeral service was held in the chapel at the Low and Low Funeral Home, 23 Main Street South, Uxbridge (905) 852 – 3073 on Friday, July 6, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. with visiting 1 hour before service. Interment Resurrection cemetery , Whitby. In Tom’s memory, donations may be made to the Uxbridge Cottage Hospital Foundation. The family wishes to extend their sincerest thanks to the wonderful staff at Frost Manor in Lindsay, Butternut Manor in Uxbridge and the staff at the Uxbridge Cottage Hospital for taking such Wonderful care of Tom.

Wellman, Margaret Bernice

passed away suddenly, but peacefully on Saturday, June 30th, 2012 at the Ballycliffe Nursing Home, Ajax in her 86th year. Daughter of the late Velva (Nee: Brethour) and Everett Burnham. Beloved wife of the late Carl Wellman. Devoted mother of Susan (David) Ferguson, Sheryl (Ron) Ferguson and Paul (Lisa) Wellman. Loving grandmother of Melissa, Nicole, Matthew, Travis, Jessalyn, Nathaniel and Delaney and great-grandmother of Zachary, Madison and Carl. Family and friends were received at the Low and Low Funeral Home, 23 Main Street, South, Uxbridge (905) 852 – 3073 on Tuesday, July 3rd, 2012 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. & 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. A funeral service was held at the Trinity United Church, 20 First Avenue, Uxbridge (905) 852 – 6213 on Wednesday, July 4th, 2012 at 12:00 p.m. with visitation from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service. A reception followed at the church. Interment at Foster Memorial cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Trinity United Church.

Grills, Stanley

passed away peacefully on June 25, 2012, in his 90th year, with his family by his side at Lakeridge Health in Oshawa. Stan Grills loving husband of the late Beth Grills. Loving father of Robert (Colleen) and Keith (Toni). Forever loved by his grandchildren Amy (Clint), Andrea (Cyril), Elaina (Bob), Nicole, and great- grandchildren Olivia, Felicity, Heidi, Sawyer and Cedric. Survived by his sister-in-laws Doris Grills, Ruth Follest, Barb (Stan) Norrish and Sylvia DeRoche. Predeceased by his siblings Florence, Howard, Elsie, Rosina and Horace (Joe). Fondly remembered by Rose Barrett. Stan was a former Superintendent of Groveside cemetery , Brooklin, a 60 year member of Beethoven 165 Odd Fellows Lodge, Brooklin and also a member of the Pickering Easter Rebekah Lodge. Family and friends were received at the Low and Low Funeral Home 1763 Reach Street, Port Perry, (905) 985-7331 on Friday June 29, 2012 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Odd Fellows Lodge service was held at the funeral home on Friday June 29, 2012 at 6:30 p.m. A funeral service to celebrate the life of Stan took place in the chapel on Saturday June 30, 2012 at 11:30 a.m. with a visitation one hour prior to service. A reception was held at the funeral home following the service. Interment at Groveside cemetery , Brooklin. If so desired, donations in Stan’s memory may be made to the Port Perry United Church Beautification Fund or to the Port Perry Hospital Foundation.

Vance, W. Ronald

passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 21, 2012 at the ReachView Village Nursing Home in his 88th year. Loving husband of Shirley for 30 years. Father of Steven (Linda), Tom and stepfather to Denise (Claude), Cheryl and Wayne. Loved by 9 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Brother to Lorne from Owen Sound and the late Web. A Celebration of Life will be held in the chapel at the Low and Low Funeral Home, 23 Main St. S. Uxbridge (905) 852-3073 on Saturday, July 7, 2012 at 11 a.m. with visitation from 10 – 11 a.m. Reception to follow at the Uxbridge Seniors Centre (75 Marietta St. Uxbridge) In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Uxbridge Cottage Hospital Auxiliary or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
