Roger Philip Golden
October 2nd, 1927 - December 9th, 2010

Roger Philip Golden, age 83, of Rahway, NJ died Thursday, December 9th following a brief illness. Roger was the son of the late Robert G. and Marguerite E. Golden (nee Marsh) of Fanwood, NJ. He is a U.S. Army Veteran and owned businesses in Cedar Grove, West Paterson, and Butler, NJ. Roger ended his career as a Senior Vice-President of Yeagan Associates Consumer Auto Lending Division of Neptune, NJ. He retired to Brantford, ON, Canada in 1993. Roger is pre-deceased by his devoted and loving wife of 40 years, the late Marjorie C. Golden (nee Day) of Kearny, NJ as well as his two brothers, the late Robert G. Golden of Greenville, SC and the late Richard M. Golden LT(jg) Lost at Sea aboard the USS Holder DD-819, home ported in Newport, RI. He is survived by his three children, Richard M. Golden II and wife Catherine of Uncasville, CT, Patrice M. Green and husband Clarence of Montague, NJ and Timothy R. Golden and wife Heather of Uxbridge, ON, Canada. He is remembered fondly by his grandchildren whom he adored; James, Brian, Shana, Sean, Anthony, Hope, Jordanne and Marcy as well as three great grandchildren Madison, Connor and Morgan along with 13 nieces and nephews. Viewing Hours will be at the Morrison Funeral Home in Butler, NJ on December 17th from 9:30 am to 11:00 pm followed by a Mass at 12:00 at St. Brendan’s Roman Catholic Church in Clifton, NJ www.st-brendan.org. Roger will be laid to rest immediately following at the Cedar Lawn cemetery in Paterson, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his name to The Rahway High School Sideliners Booster Club, P.O. Box 675, Rahway, NJ, 07065. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Low and Low Funeral Home, Uxbridge, ON. (905) 852-3073 and the Morrison Funeral Home, Butler, New Jersey 1(973) 838-2290.

Pellis, John

passed away peacefully in his sleep, after a battle with cancer, at the Port Perry Hospital on Tuesday, December 7th, 2010 at the age of 79. John, beloved husband of Ruth Pellis, loving stepfather of George (Diane) Burger, Mark (Lynda) Burger, Nancy (Ron) Compton, Kelly (Rob) Burger-Jacobs. Devoted Grandfather to Alaina, Nicole, Marci, Brook and Brooklyn. Dear brother of Ann, Gonny and Joe. Beloved uncle to Carina and Aran. A Celebration of Life was held at St. Andrews-Chalmers Presbyterian Church, 40B Toronto Street South, Uxbridge, Ont. on Wednesday, December 15th at 11:00 a.m. Cremation. In John's memory donations in lieu of flowers may be made to The Port Perry Hospital Foundation, St. Andrews-Chalmers Presbyterian Church or The Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated. Brule, Sylvia (nee: Wislanski)

passed away peacefully in her sleep at the Uxbridge Cottage Hospital on Saturday, December 4, 2010, at the age of 83. Sylvia, beloved wife of the late Roger Brule. Loving mother of Gloria (Jack) Greer, Carol (Brian) Norrish, David (Lynda) Brule and Sandra (Joe) Buttineau. Devoted grandmother of Ian, Mark, Sara, Julie, and Amanda. Dear sister of Olga O’Kurily and aunt of Sonia and Gail. A visitation was held at Low and Low Funeral Home 23 Main Street South Uxbridge (905) 852-3073 on Monday, December 6, 2010 from 2:00 – 4:00 and 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. A Funeral Service was held in the chapel on Tuesday, December 7, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. Cremation. In Sylvia’s memory donations made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated.

Keeler, Marie Etheleen

Born September 16, 1939, passed away suddenly at Lakeridge Health in Oshawa on December 2nd , 2010 in her 72nd year. Loved daughter of the late Evelyn and William Keeler of Port Perry. Beloved wife of the late George St. Pierre. Loved mother of Linda (Bryan York), Peter St. Pierre (deceased), Grant St. Pierre at home and Sharon St. Pierre (Ken Laundry) of Cambelford. Loved grandmother to Peter Schoep, Anna-Marie Timms and Lisa Pike. Cherished great-grandmother of Alexis, Tayler, Megan, Ethan and Stella. Dearly loved and will be missed by sister Bernice (Ron Milne) of Oshawa. Predeceased by brothers Ross, Bruce and sister Marlene. Marie will be sadly missed by niece Judy (Larry Lee) and many other nieces, nephews, friends and neighbours. God bless and keep you. Robinson, Ariel

Peacefully passed away on Wednesday, December 1, 2010 at North York General Hospital with her family by her side. At the age of 96. Ariel, beloved wife of the late Ross Robinson. Loving mother of Phyllis Weston and the late Benjamine Robinson. Devoted grandmother of Martha Weston, Jason (Liz) Weston, Paul (Winnie) Robinson, Susan Humphrey and Lisa Warner. Great grandmother of Jennifer, Shawn, Melanie, and Willy. A Funeral Service was held in the chapel at Low and Low Funeral Home 23 Main Street South Uxbridge (905) 852-3073 on Saturday, December 4, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. with visitation one-hour prior. Suddenly on Saturday, November 27, 2010 in Scarborough at his childhood home. Beloved husband of Jo-Anne Mitchell and father of William Robert (Stephanie), Steven Mitchell (Tatiana) and MacKenzie David Chester (Laurel). Dear son of Mildred (Williams) and the late William David Hilton. Brother of David Hilton (Jane). Adored son-in-law of Jean Mitchell-Bain (Heard) and brother-in-law of Mary Dixon (Grant) and Kelly Slattery (David). passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Monday, November 29, 2010 at the Port Perry Hospital. Beloved husband of Doreen for 63 years. Loving father of Randy (deceased) and his wife Judy, Laurie and her husband Rick Bruce and Rick Gray. Proud grandfather of Jennifer, Scott, Nicole, Jeff, Leslie and great grandfather of Mason, Elizabeth, Brooklyn, Shelby, James and Mack. Family and friends were received at the Low and Low Funeral Home, 1763 Reach Street., Port Perry, (905) 985-7331 on Wednesday, December 1, 2010 from 10 to 11 a.m. A memorial service to celebrate the life of Norman was held in the chapel at 11 a.m. Reception to follow at the Port Perry Royal Canadian Legion Branch 419. Uxbridge (905) 852-3073 on Sunday, November 28, 2010 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. A Funeral Service was held in the chapel on Monday, November 29, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. with visiting from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. Reception followed. Private family interment followed. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Salvation Army.

Busato, Robert K.

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our beloved husband and father Bob Busato. Loving husband of Donna and devoted father to Daniel, his wife Dr. Rachel Busato and their precious daughter Leah, Matthew and his fiancée Jennifer Harper, Richard and his girlfriend Randi Zuber. Dear brother of Helen Frenette and Uncle of Anne, Greg, Colin, Abby and Kylea Campbell. He will be truly missed by Laurie and Angela Frenette; Nephew to Lena Busato. Proud Godfather to Nicholas Busato and Kiersten Frenette. Bob will be missed by many extended family and friends. Keltie-Ann Anderson
(nee: Kent)

“Wherever you go, no matter the weather, always bring your own sunshine.”
This was the mantra that Keltie lived by. She passed away on November 23, 2010. Keltie was the publisher of the Shoppes Newsletters and was very involved in the Uxbridge community. Born in Montreal on March 21, 1967, she attended St. George's High School and later graduated from York University with a B.A. in English and Mass Communications. She met her husband Dave while at university and together they ran their business and started their family of three fabulous girls. She was predeceased by her sister, Corinne Elizabeth Kent in 2007. She leaves behind her devoted husband Dave Anderson; her beloved children Cassie, Victoria and Maddie; her brothers Derek Kent (Joanne Fletcher); Craig Moyes (Natalie Brierley); her mother Shirley Walker (Jean-Jacques Guyot); her father Dr. Leonard Kent (Barbara Pattee) one nephew and five nieces as well as her parent-in-laws Dennis and Kathy Anderson, sister-in-law and brother-in-law Lisa and Bob Reeves as well as her many dear friends, aunts, uncles and cousins. Keltie had a light that lit the world. We will miss her terribly. The Celebration of Keltie’s life was held at the Low and Low Funeral Home, 23 Main St. South Uxbridge, ON. (905) 852-3073 on Saturday, November 27, 2010 at 3:00 p.m. with visitation from 2:00 – 3:00 p.m. Please wear something bright and colourful.
