Kennedy, Annie Elva Jean

passed away peacefully to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 1, 2008 at the Uxbridge Cottage Hospital at the age of 79. Beloved wife of the late William Kennedy. Loving mother of Janice (Michael) Bells of Waterloo, Keith (Peggy) of Leaskdale, Robert (Jill) of Perry Sound, and Don (Kathleen) of Uxbridge. Fondly remembered by her grandchildren Nadine, Joel, Nathan, Sarah (Dave), Byron, Jason, Benjamin, Grace, Martha, Abram, Caleb, Rebekah, Graham, and William. Adoring great grandmother of Rachel and Caleb. Sister of Isabelle (Jack) Brown of Scarborough, Betty Rapson of Rexdale, and Stewart Annand of Uxbridge. Family and friends called St. Paul’s Leaskdale Church (1225 R.R.#1 Leaskdale) for visitation on Tuesday, June 3, 2008 from 2:00 – 4:00 and 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. A Funeral Service was held at St. Paul’s Leaskdale Church on Wednesday, June 4, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. Interment Foster Memorial cemetery , Uxbridge. In Jean’s memory donations may be made to St. Paul’s Leaskdale Church or to the Uxbridge Cottage Hospital.

Bolton, Thomas

passed away at Lakeridge Health Port Perry on Saturday May 17th 2008 at the age of 49. Tom, beloved husband of Sherry Bolton (nee: Hearn) of Nestleton. Loving father of Tyler, Brett, Lee, and Christa. Cherished son of Paul (deceased) and Margaret Bolton and Elinor Bolton (nee: Waslyk deceased). Lovingly remembered by his sisters and brothers Elaine Bolton, Denise (Jamie Novotny) Nick and Cherlyn Webb, and Andy and Cher Webb, and many nephews and nieces. Dear brother-in-law of Randy and Liz Hearn, Wendy (nee: Hearn) and Jim Donovan, Tracy (nee: Hearn) Peddle and Greg (deceased), and Jen Hearn. Grandfather to Ayden and Breonna. Dear son-in-law of Bill and Joyce Hearn. Tom will be fondly remembered by his step mother Margaret Bolton and his dear friends Holly, Mike, Jen, Stephanie, and Steve, Ian and Steve. Family and friends called at the Low & Low Funeral Home 1763 Reach Street, Port Perry (905)-985-7331 on Wednesday May 21st 2008, from 12:00 noon until time of complete service in the Chapel at 1:30 p.m. Cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations in Tom's memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.

Welsh, Dorothy Irene

passed away peacefully on Friday May 16th, 2008 at York Central Hospital. Dorothy, loving wife of the late Wilbert. Dear mother of Janice and the late Ron Harrison. Loving grandmother of Lisa Harrison. Dear sister of the late Jim Johnston (Marion) and the late Russell (Doreen). Family ad friends were received at the Low & Low Funeral Home, 23 Main St. South, Uxbridge, (905)-852-3073 on Tuesday May 20th 2008 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. A celebration of Dorothy's life was held in the chapel, on Wednesday, May 21st, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. Interment Sandford Community cemetery. If so desired, donations in Dorothy's memory may be made to the Dialysis Unit of the York Central Hospital or to Sandford United Church.

Hill, Hugh

passed away at Lakeridge Health in Port Perry on Monday May 12, 2008. Hugh Hill will be sadly missed by his loving wife Deanna of Port Perry. Loving father of Ken (Tammie), Mark (Tammy) and Kyla-Dee Hill. dear grandfather of Mark, Ryan, Cody, Bret, Micheal and Kyle. Hugh suffered with a long lasting illness of colon cancer. Thank you to Port Perry Hospital for all the care given to Hugh. At the request of Mr. Hill no funeral service will be held at this time. Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers memorial donations to the Colorectal Cancer Association of Canada would be appreciated.

Willmot, Mary Christina (nee: Girvin)
1913-2008

Peacefully in her sleep on Sunday, May 11, 2008 at Markhaven Home for Seniors. Beloved wife of the late Douglas Willmot. Loving mother of Judy Fountain (John). Proud and caring Grandmother of Tony (Karm), Jane; Step-grandmother of Craig (Larisa), Grant (Genee), and Great grandmother of Kyle, Desire, Lindsay, James, David and Daniel. A Celebration of Mary’s life was held at the Low and Low Funeral Home 23 Main Street South Uxbridge (905) 852-3073 on Wednesday, May 14, 2008 at 12:00 p.m. with visitation 1-hour prior. Private family interment. In Mary’s memory, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to Epilepsy Ontario.

Blaikie, Lionel

passed away at the Port Perry Community Nursing Home on Sunday May 4, 2008 at the age of 75. Lionel Blaikie husband of the late Marie. Loving father of Lionel Ree Blaikie and Glen Allan Blaikie. Dear grandfather of Tamara Lee and Melinda Marie Blaikie. Brother of Bradford of Nova Scotia, Patsy Francis of London, Ontario, Rose Legace of Thunder Bay, Marilyn (Doug) Foster of Omemee and predeceased by brothers Harry, John, David, Hector and Carl and sister Ellen Wilkinson. Lionel will be sadly missed by his many nieces and nephews. At the request of his family no funeral service will be held at this time. Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers memorial donations to the Port Perry Community Nursing Home Residence Council Fund or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario would be appreciated. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Low and Low Funeral Home, Port Perry (905) 985-7331.

Wilson, George Philip

After a short illness George passed away on Monday, May 5, 2008 at the Markham Stouffville Hospital at the age of 59. Loving son of the late Leonard and Leah Wilson. Younger brother to Clarence and his wife Dianne Wilson and Marlene Noble. He will be missed by his nieces and nephews. A Memorial Visitation was held at the Low and Low Funeral Home 23 Main Street South Uxbridge (905) 852-3073 on Saturday, May 10, 2008 from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Salvation Army or to the charity of your choice.

Lilley, Robert (Bob)

passed away at home in Port Perry on Saturday, May 3, 2008 at the age of 59. Bob, son of John Lilley of Florida U.S.A. Loving partner of 28 years of Erma (Redshaw) Rivers. Dear stepfather of Faye Fraser, Sherry Frey, and Troy Rivers. Loving "Papa" of 5 grandchildren. Brother of John, (Iowa U.S.A.), Debbie (Buffalo U.S.A.), and Linda (Toronto). A Celebration of Bob's life was held on Saturday, May 10, 2008, at 2:00 p.m. at the Low & Low Funeral Home, 1763 Reach St. Port Perry, (905)-985-7331, with visiting from 1:00 p.m. until time of service. If so desired, memorial donations in Bob's memory may be made to the charity of your choice.

Cowan, Frederick David

Died suddenly on May 1st, 2008 at the Port Perry Community Nursing Home in his 87th year. Predeceased by his wife Evelyn. Survived by his children David (Kathy), Ross (Barbara), John, Gary, Gail (Pat), Susan (Tom) and Lori (Bob). Fondly remembered by fifteen grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Survived by brother Jack of Whitby, predeceased by siblings Bertha, Cassie, Harold, Jim and Marg. World War II Veteran from 1941 to 1946 and long time resident of Uxbridge, Fred was actively involved in the Uxbridge girls softball league for many years and a retired employee of Booth Gitsch. Friends and family were received at Low & Low Funeral Home, 23 Main Street South, Uxbridge (905)-852-3073 on Sunday, May 4, 2008 from 2:00 - 4:00 and 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. A service to celebrate the life of Fred was held on Monday, May 5, 2008 at 10:30 a.m. with interment at Markdale cemetery at 2:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations in Fred's memory may be made to the Heart And Stroke Foundation or The Sick Kids Foundation.

Williamson, Neil

passed away on Tuesday, April 29, 2008 at his home in his 52nd year. Neil will be missed by his family, musical friends, and his many friends in Uxbridge. A Funeral Service was held at the Low and Low Funeral Home 23 Main Street South Uxbridge (905) 852-3073 on Friday, May 2, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation from 9:00 – 11:00 a.m. Cremation to follow. Wilson, Donald Allen

passed away on Tuesday, April 22, 2008 at Reachview Village in Uxbridge in his 92nd year. Beloved husband of the late Dorothy Wilson for 41 years and the late Isobel Wilson for 23 years. Predeceased by 3 Brothers and 2 Sisters. Sadly missed by his youngest brother Thomas and his wife Phyllis. Dearly remembered by 3 generations of nieces and nephews and his many friends. A special thank you to all of the people who provided him with such wonderful care and companionship during his last few years. passed away on Monday, April 21, 2008 at the Uxbridge Cottage Hospital. Robert, beloved husband of Angela. Loving father of Rob (Kathy), Kevin, John (Leanne), Joe (Kim) and the late Theresa and Danny. Proud grandfather of Christine, Jeremy (Lindsay), Tom (Breeann), Katy, Alana, April, Danny, Devin, Ren, Brittany; great grandfather of Ava, Faith, Emma, and Zephaniah. A Memorial Service was held at the Uxbridge Baptist Church (231 Brock Street West, Uxbridge) on Saturday, April 26, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. A time for visitation and refreshments took place immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Uxbridge Baptist Church to support the 'Grace Orphan Care Project'.

Vivian, Raymond James

Entered into rest on April 20th, 2008 in his 76th year. Loving son of the late Frank and Marguerite Vivian. Loving partner of Marilyn Hamlin. Dear brother of Norman Vivian. loving sister Frances Wilcox. Father of Lynn, Frank, Cathy, John, Terry, Robin and their families. Loved by many nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Memories were shared with his family and friends at the Low & Low Funeral Home, 1763 Reach Street, Port Perry (905) 985-7331 on Wednesday April 23rd, 2008 from 7 to 9 p.m., and on Thursday April 24th, 2008 from 10:00 a.m. until time of complete service in the chapel at 11:00 a.m. If so desired donations in Ray's memory can be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or your charity of choice.

Bird, Ricky

passed away peacefully after a brief but courageous battle with cancer on Monday, April 14, 2008 at Lakeridge Health in Port Perry. At the early age of 52. Ricky, beloved husband of Linda. Loving and devoted father to Erin (Mark Pearce), Kelly (Jeremy Thompson), Katherine, Matt and Steph. Fun loving grandfather to Bennett. He will be sadly missed by his many friends and family. Family and friends called at the Low and Low Funeral Home 23 Main Street South Uxbridge (905) 852-3073 on Thursday, April 17, 2008 from 2:00 – 4:00 and 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. A Funeral Service was in the chapel on Friday, April 18, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. Interment Uxbridge cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations made to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
