BUCKNER, Rubyann

RUBYANN BUCKNER December 12, 1951 - October 22, 2006 Rubyann passed away peacefully in the caring arms of her family on Sunday, October 22, 2006. She is lovingly remembered by her husband Bob; children Allison and Lauren; sisters Linda (William), Sylvia (Hugh), Temple (Brad) and sisters-in-law Bonnie and Chery (Chip); brothers Lloyd (Debra), Lee and Terry; and many special cousins, nephews, nieces; and many precious friends. Rubyann fought her 10-year battle with breast cancer with courage and dignity. Rubyann was the consummate giver whose caring counsel and advice was valued by everyone who knew her. She is a fabulous role model and will be dearly missed. Special thanks to Dr. Cecily Bryce and the B.C. Cancer Agency, Bayshore Community Health Services, Pacific Spirit Community Health Centre, and the palliative care doctors and nurses, all of whom exceeded our highest expectations. A service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 16th, Dunbar Heights United Church, 3525 West 24th Avenue, Vancouver, B.C. In lieu of flowers, Rubyann has requested that donations in her memory be made to the B.C. Breast Cancer Research Foundation at 675 West 10th Avenue, Vancouver, B.C., V5Z 1L3. Kearney Funeral Services 604-736-0268. This was a woman to love.

BURNS, William "Bill" - Peacefully on Monday, November 6, 2006 at Princess Margaret Hospital in his 69th year. Loving husband of Pat. Proud father of Ian. Brother of Elizabeth, Emily, Margaret and the late Thomas. The family will receive friends at the OGDEN FUNERAL HOME, 4164 Sheppard Ave. East, Agincourt (east of Kennedy Rd.) on Saturday, November 11, 2006 at 2 p.m. with the funeral to follow in the Ogden Chapel at 3 p.m. Cremation will take place at a later date. In memory of Bill, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.

CALAYAG, Amparo "Ampy" - Retired employee of St. Michael's Hospital. passed away on Wednesday, November 8, 2006, at the age of 77 at Scarborough General Hospital. She is sadly missed by devoted sisters Betty, Veronica, Rose, Dolly and Fely. Loving aunt of Norma, her husband Laureano; Agnes and children Philippe and Christian; Beth, husband Frankie, children Laura, Frank Jr.; Edgar, wife Lyn, children James and Jennifer; Janet, husband Ed; Lito, wife Fe Linda, children Justine, Lauren and Karen; Rochellee, husband Allan, children Paul, Kaitlyn and Jared; Jocelyn, Joel, Joyce, John, Joey, Jimmy and families. Visitation Friday November 10, 2006, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. at McDougall & Brown Funeral Home, 2900 Kingston Rd., Scarborough 416-267-4656. Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday November `11, 2006 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Boniface Church, 21 Markanna Dr., Scarborough. Interment Resthaven Memorial Gardens, 2700 Kingston Rd., Scarborough.

ANDERSON, Mary

ANDERSON, Mary Celista - Peacefully at the South Haven Nursing Home in Huntsville on Friday, November 17, 2006. Mary Celista Anderson (nee Coulson) in her 95th year. Beloved wife of the late John Anderson. Dear mother of Robert and his wife Jean Anderson of Gravenhurst and Mardie Anderson of Edmonton. Predeceased by her daughter Betty Jane Anderson in 1951 and by her brother George Coulson. Mary was the beloved grandmother to Kevin Anderson, Murray Anderson and his wife Barbara, and Ronald Anderson and his wife Michelle, and she was the beloved great-grandmother to Thomas, Charlize, Octavia, Xavier and Liliana. A Service to celebrate the life of Mary Celista Anderson will be held at the Lakeside United Church in Walker's Point on Saturday, December 2, 2006 at 2 p.m. Cremation has taken place. In memory, donations to the South Muskoka Memorial Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements entrusted to the W.J. Cavill Funeral Home, Gravenhurst 705-687-3242.

BALDWIN, Jessie - Went home to be with her Lord peacefully in her sleep on Friday, November 17, 2006, at the age of 88, at her home in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Predeceased by husband Ted. She was much loved by daughters Jo-an Dennis (Les), Diane Cross (Ray) and Deborah Cameron (John). She will be greatly missed by grandchildren Jeremy Cross (Sarah), Andrea King (Paul), David, Stuart and Sara Cameron and great-grandson Caeden Cross. Friends will be received at PINE HILLS VISITATION, CHAPEL AND RECEPTION CENTRE, 625 Birchmount Rd., Scarborough, (north of St. Clair) 416-267-8229, on Tuesday, November 28, 2006 from 1:30 - 2:30 p.m. with a Service following at 2:30 p.m. Interment and Reception to follow in Pine Hills. Jessie requested we express her thanks to her neighbours and church friends in Toronto and Nova Scotia for their kindness over the years. She is looking forward to seeing everyone again one day. In lieu of flowers, donations to Jessie's church, Bay Road Baptist Church, Timberlea, Nova Scotia, or to a charity of your choice would be appreciated.

Loving mother of Winnifred and her husband Ron Bateman of New Brunswick. Lovingly remembered by her 3 grandchildren and 7 great- grandchildren. Dear sister of Gladys Wood of Toronto and predeceased by her brothers Philip and John. Dearly remembered by many nieces and nephews. BURKE, Dorothy Mary Anne - Following a courageous battle with cancer, peacefully passed away in London, Ontario on Friday November 24, 2006 in her 88th year. Loving sister of Vincent Burke and his wife Eleanor of London, Ontario. Beloved sister in law of Irene Burke of Newmarket, Ontario. Predeceased by her loving mother Anna and father Timothy, as well as by her cherished brothers Jerry (Helen) and Jack. Dorothy will also be greatly missed by her many nieces and nephews. Many thanks to the nursing staff at London Health Sciences Centre University Hospital and also to the entire staff of the London Regional Cancer Centre for their kind and thoughtful care. Special thanks to Dr. Dana Winterburn. Visitors will be received at John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street, London on Sunday from 2-5 o'clock where the funeral service will be held on Monday at 12 noon. Cremation to follow. Donations to the London Regional Cancer Centre would be appreciated.

JOHN ALLAN CAMERON - Peacefully on Wednesday, November 22, 2006, at age 67. Beloved husband of Angela for 37 years and loving father of Stuart. Dear brother of John Donald, Marie, Jessie, Alex Dan, Donald Angus (D.A.) and Cyril. Cherished son-in-law of Rita Broley. John Allan will be sadly missed by all of his relatives and many friends. The family wishes to thank everyone for all of their support and a special thank-you to all who helped care for John Allan during his illness.
