BEGGS, Ross - Suddenly, at home, on Friday, February 15th, 2008 in his 70th year. Predeceased by his parents, Elmer and Ruby Beggs, of Cameron, Ontario. Ross was the loving husband and best friend of Margaret Ann (n�e Bate) for 42 years. His enthusiasm and generous spirit (as well as his well-honed talent for cooking and hospitality) will be sadly missed by his brothers Robert (Calla) and Orville (Audrey), brother/sisters-in-law Irene Purdy, Claire Bate and Florence (George) Butt, and his many very special nieces, nephews, great- nieces and great-nephews. BRENTEL, Luigi (Gino) - passed away peacefully, at the age of 74, on February 16, 2008 in the Palliative Care Unit of Etobicoke General Hospital after a 10 month battle with cancer. Gino was born October 15, 1933 in Feltre, Belluno, Italy and came to Canada in 1957. His passion for his lifelong career as a painter/decorator was experienced by many. He will be missed by his beloved wife and childhood companion, Maria Pia, his daughter Gianna (Dino) and his son Carlo (Monique). He will always be remembered by his five grandchildren for his devoted love for them. CHAPMAN, Vernon
CHAPMAN, Vernon Buron - passed away on February 12, 2008, in his 85th year, after a brief illness at his home in Toronto. Vernon was a well respected member of Canada's acting fraternity. He excelled as an actor, director, teacher and in recent years as an author and historian of Canadian theatre. Vernon began his acting career as a teenager and continued to work in stage and screen productions across Canada well into his seventies. He also served on the chair of Canadian Actor's Equity from 1967 to 1970 and in 1974. As a director, he mentored many young and aspiring thespians and was revered by many who worked with him. He will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by his friends and his family: Gary and Judy Chapman and their children Cheri Hicks (husband Bruce) and Shaun Chapman (wife Chantana), Doug and Gail Gray and children Sarah and John, and great-grandnephews Gavin, Brady, Robby and Ben. Cremation has taken place and a memorial "Celebration of Vernon's Life" will take place at Toronto's Performing Arts Lodges (PAL) on Sunday, June 22, 2008 from 2 p.m. - 5 p.m. Donations to "PAL Toronto" at 110 The Esplanade, Toronto, ON M5E 1X9 will be greatly appreciated.

MURIEL ISABELL DUNLOP Muriel passed away peacefully, in Toronto, on Friday, February 15, 2008, after a long and courageous battle with leukemia. Remembered for her love, compassion and caring for others, Muriel leaves behind a loving husband and best friend for over 51 years Roy, her daughter Linda Snowden (Rob), her son Garry (Judy) as well as her cherished grandchildren, Ashley, Brandon and Danielle Snowden and Hannah Dunlop. Her brother Bob Wilson and sister-in-law Marie from Winnipeg were a source of great strength and support throughout. Born in Winnipeg on August 31, 1933, Muriel and Roy moved to Toronto in 1962. Once settled into the community of Don Mills, Muriel became a very active member of her church - Church of the Ascension - where she held many positions including the ACW, Church choir, Rectors Warden and organizer of Coffee and Conversation for students attending ESL classes. Muriel was also a Director on the Don Mills Foundation. The family will receive friends at the HUMPHREY FUNERAL HOME - A.W. MILES CHAPEL, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Eglinton Avenue East), from 7-9 p.m. on Wednesday, February 20.
