DAY, Dorothy - Peacefully, on Saturday, March 22, 2008 at McCall Continuing Care Centre. Dorothy Day (nee Fralick), beloved wife of the late Raymond Day. Loving mother of Elaine (the late Peter Miller) of Melbourne, Australia and Dianne (Jim Wilson) of Florida and Muskoka. Much loved grandmother of Greg Miller, Anthony Miller and Karen Milfull (John). Cherished great-grandmother of Tegan Miller. Forever remembered by sisters-in-law Irene Hibbins, Rose Clarke, Lorraine O'Donoghue and the late Pearl Clarke, and her many friends whose lives she touched. Friends may call at the Turner & Porter Yorke Chapel, 2357 Bloor St. W. (at Windermere, east of Jane subway), on Monday, March 24, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. Chapel Service to be held at 3:00 p.m. Cremation has taken place. If desired, donations to a charity of choice would be appreciated by the family.

DEAK, Imre

DEAK, Imre - Peacefully, after a long illness, on Saturday, March 22, 2008, in his 83rd year. Beloved husband of Mary for 46 years. Loving father of Imre and his wife Darlene, and daughter Janet Stapleton. Survived by his sister Julie in Hungary and the Peter family in Canada. Family and friends will be received at the "Scarborough Chapel" of McDougall & Brown, 2900 Kingston Rd. (east of St. Clair Ave. E.) on Tuesday, March 25th from 11 a.m. until time of service at 1 p.m. Cremation. Memorial donations to the Scarborough Hospital General Division would be appreciated.

DITTMER, Elizabeth

DITTMER, Elizabeth - passed away peacefully at the Royal Victoria Hospital in Barrie, on March 21st, 2008. Predeceased by her husband Vincent Dittmer, Elizabeth will be sadly missed by her children Van and his partner Kyrie, Don and his wife Sue, and Susan and her husband Barrie; and her grandchildren John, Katie, Nick, Hannah, Brian, Mark and his fianc�e Livia, Jeff, Courtney and her husband Rob, and Melissa and her fianc� Jon. Elizabeth was a loving and dedicated wife and mother who also volunteered for many years with the Wellesley Hospital Women's Auxiliary in Toronto and the May Court Club in Barrie, where she made many friends now saddened by her passing. She was an avid bridge player and more recently a Mah Jongg enthusiast. Friends and family may call at ADAMS FUNERAL HOME, 445 St. Vincent Street (just north of Cundles Road), Barrie, on Monday, March 24th from 1:00 p.m. until the funeral service in the Chapel at 2:00 p.m. A private interment at Midhurst Union cemetery. Memorial donations to the May Court Club of Barrie would be appreciated in lieu of flowers.

DOBBS, Betty (nee Hechter) - Peacefully, on Friday, March 21, 2008, at home, surrounded by her family. Betty Dobbs, beloved wife of William for 62 years. Loving mother and mother-in-law of Michelle, Fred and Karin, Michael and Lisa, Gail and Barry, and Jeffrey. Devoted Bubie to Adam, Daniel, Rachel, Lena, Justin, Taylor, Jamie, Carl, Hannah, Madison and Simon. Survived by her siblings, Eva Cristall, Sid Hechter and Dr. Ted Hechter. Funeral Service to be held at Benjamin's Park Memorial Chapel on Monday, March 24th. Memorial donations may be made to the Temmy Latner Centre for Palliative Care (416-586-4800 Ext. 7884).

FAIR, Jean Beatrice - Entered into rest peacefully at the Ross Memorial Hospital in Lindsay on Thursday, March 20, 2008. Dearly beloved wife of the late Robert Fair. Beloved mother of Tom and his wife Carol and Susan and her husband Rick Drew. Loving grandmother of Gwen, Ron and Rob McDonald, Kirsten and her husband Peter Moniz. Fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews and family. Visitation will be held at the Mackey Funeral Home, 33 Peel Street, Lindsay (705-328-2721) on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service at St. Paul's Anglican Church on Wednesday, March 26, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. Interment at Rosemount Memorial Gardens, Peterborough. Memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, The Salvation Army or A Place Called Home would be appreciated by the family.

FALZON, Espedito

FALZON, Espedito George - passed away peacefully after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer's on March 22, 2008 at the age of 77 years. Loving husband to Michelina. Devoted father to Paul and his wife Patricia, George and his wife Nelia and Charlie and his wife Kelly. Cherished Nanu to Andrew, Amanda, Kyle, Nicole and Brandon. Fondly remembered by his brothers-in-law Frank and his wife Josephine Buttigieg and their family, and Charlie Buttigieg of Australia. "Ziyu" will be sadly missed by all of his nieces, nephews and many friends. Espedito was a member of the Maltese Veteran Association and an officer of the Melita S.C. Extended family and friends are invited to visit the Lynett Funeral Home, 3299 Dundas St. West (one block east of Runnymede) on Monday, March 24, 2008 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral mass will take place on Tuesday, March 25, 2008 at 9:15 a.m. at S. Paul the Apostle Church, 3224 Dundas St. W. Burial will follow at Assumption cemetery. In lieu of flowers, if desired, donations to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated by the family.

GILL, Sharon Marie - Peacefully with her family by her side on Saturday, March 22, 2008 in her 64th year. Dearly loved wife of Ronald Gill of Keswick. Loving mother of Darryl (Gayle), Allan (Leanne), Andrew (Jacqueline) and Sarah. Cherished grandmother of 11 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Sharon will be greatly missed by her 8 brothers and sisters, their families and her many friends. Visitation from M.W. GILLIGAN, Edward - Born in Scotland. Entered in to rest peacefully with family by his side at St. Michael's Hospital in his 86th year. Will be sadly missed by his sister Margaret (Peggy). Predeceased by his siblings James, Andrew, Elizabeth and Sarah. Eddie will be forever loved and missed by his nieces, nephews, families and all his wonderful friends throughout the years. A heartfelt thank you to the staff at St. Michael's Hospital. A proud member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 11 and a Veteran of World War II in Italy. Friends may call at the FUNERAL HOME OF O'CONNOR BROS., 1871 Danforth Ave., (2 blocks west of Woodbine subway station) on Saturday from 7-9 p.m. and Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass in Holy Name Church (Danforth Ave., west of Pape Ave., Toronto) on Monday at 11 a.m. Interment Pine Hills cemetery. GRAY, Marion - At Markham-Stouffville Hospital on March 21, 2008. Wife of the late Robert Gray. Dear companion to Gordon Levett. Mom of Robert, Judith, Marion, Elizabeth, Leonard, Laurence and the late John. Sadly missed by her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. ABATE, Paola

After a valiant fight, passed away peacefully on July 18, 2006. She is predeceased by her husband Giuseppe (2002). She will be lovingly remembered by her devoted son Ross and his wife Lee. She will be missed by family and her many friends at Villa Colombo. Family and friends will be received at the Fratelli Vescio Funeral Homes Ltd. (8101 Weston Rd., south of Langstaff Rd., 905-850-3332) on Thursday and Friday from 6-9 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, July 22 at 9:00 a.m. from Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church (300 Ansley Grove Rd., north of Chancellor). Entombment to follow at the Westminster cemetery (on Bathurst St., north of Finch Ave.).

Died peacefully at Centenary Hospital, on Thursday August 24, 2006, surrounded by her loving family. Beloved wife of deceased husband Carmelo; mother to Mario and Tina; grandmother to Joey, Matthew, Laura, Alexander and Michelle. Loving sister to Rosa, Antonietta, Lina and Otto. Resting at the Highland Funeral Home, 3280 Sheppard Ave. E. (just west of Warden), on Saturday from 5-9 p.m. and Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass at Epiphany of Our Lord Church, 3200 Pharmacy Ave., at 11 a.m. on Monday, August 28, 2006. Entombment at Highland Memory Gardens. If so desired, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
