Dear father and father-in-law of Anne Marie (Pat) Egan of Brechin, Patrick (Leslie) of Oshawa, Leo (Patti) of London, David (Susan) of Bolsover, Kevin (Darlean) of Schomberg and predeceased by Michael (1968) and Laura (1994). Grandfather of Erin, Kevin, Mary, Neil, Luke, Molly, Amberliegh, Michael, Jessica, Jarvis and Hailey. Brother of Veronica, Leona, Frank (Cathy), Ramona, Dolores (Don), Patrick and predeceased by John, Muriel, Joseph and William. The family will receive friends at the Mangan Funeral Home, Beaverton (705-426-5777) on Thursday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Andrew's Catholic Church, Brechin on Friday at 11 a.m. Interment St. Mary's cemetery , Victoria Road, Ontario. Ann Boddington, honorary member of University of Toronto Scarborough where she was a member of the faculty in Humanities (Classics) 1965-1995, was born in Burghill, Hereford, England on September 21, 1929 and died on June 11, 2007 at Scarborough General Hospital. She will be greatly missed by her family in England, her brother Ray Boddington and his wife Norma, her sister Elizabeth (Lib) Bennett and her husband Rodney, by her nieces and nephews in Britain and Australia and by her many friends, neighbours and colleagues. passed away peacefully in her 83rd year and went to meet her Lord after a long struggle with ALS and cancer at Humber River Regional Hospital Finch Site on Monday, May 5, 2008. June had a full life, graduating as an RN from Toronto General Hospital in May 1946, practicing as a nurse, then moving to teaching, retiring from Humber College Lakeshore in August 1987. She is predeceased by her father Tom, mother Jean, brothers Lorry and Cecil, sisters Eileen, Ann and Mary, brothers-in-law Ken, Bill and Art, sisters-in-law Evelyn and Joan and nephew Tom. She is survived by her brother Bill (Joan), niece Lynda (Dick), nephews Bruce (Linda), Michael (Ruth), Bill (Val) and Paul, and grandnephews Drew (Laura), David, John and Bayne. The family would like to express heartfelt thanks to the staff at HRRH Finch Site, West Park Long Term Care Centre and Grenadier Retirement Residence for their kindness and care. Thanks are extended as well for the many small acts of kindness shown June by friends and strangers during her illness, they were all much appreciated.
