JARVIS, Victor

JARVIS, Victor E. - May 4, 2008 It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Vic Jarvis, a lifelong resident of the Port Credit area, in Mississauga, at the age of 94. Vic is survived by his loving wife Elizabeth (Betty) of 66 years, sister Margaret (Peg) Dynes of Peterborough, and sons Ross (Jean) of London and Wayne (Helen) of Milton. Predeceased by brother George and sister Joyce. He will be greatly missed by granddaughters Shelley Edwards, Tracy Creamer, Emily Potter, and Mary Jarvis, and great-grandsons Elijah, Darius, Quinn and Aiden. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, May 8, 2008 at Skinner & Middlebrook Funeral Home, 128 Lakeshore Rd. E., Mississauga at 1 p.m. Interment will immediately follow the service at Springcreek cemetery , 1390 Clarkson Rd., Mississauga.

Kemp, Mary

Kemp, Mary Elizabeth Clare (nee Cameron) - At Toronto on Monday, May 5th, 2008. Mary, beloved mother of Bruce, Kathleen and her husband Michael Hansford. Sister-in-law to Katharine Kemp and the late Alison Mitchell and aunt of Anne Stockton. A Memorial Service will be held at St. Cuthbert's Church, 1399 Bayview Avenue on Thursday, May 8, 2008 at 11 o'clock. Reception to follow. If desired, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society, www.alzheimer.ca and Community Care East York, www.ccey.org. .

LAING, Verna

LAING, Verna Jane (nee Hunter) - passed away on Sunday, May 4, 2008 at Billings Court Manor with her loving family by her side. Verna was in her 77th year. Cherished mother of Karen Ross and Randy Ross and his wife Stephanie. Loving Grandma of Tyler Ross, Tanner Field, Cedrick Ross and Justin Ross. Verna was the much loved sister of Diane O'Brien and her husband Peter, and Russell Hunter and his wife Polly. Predeceased by her husband Harry Laing and the late Harry Ross. Verna will be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews, family and friends. Visitation at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line (one stoplight north of QEW), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333), on Tuesday, May 6th, 2008 from 6 - 9 p.m., where the Funeral Service will take place on Wednesday, May 7th, 2008 at 10:30 a.m. Interment Glendale Memorial Gardens, Toronto. If desired, as an expression of sympathy, donations made to the Alzheimer Society or the Hospital for Sick Children Foundation would be greatly appreciated by the family.

DINO MARCUZ passed away on May 4, 2008 at the age of 68. Loving father of Karen, Lance and his wife Melissa, Brendon, and Michael. Cherished grandfather of HoIly, Dillon, Amanda, Kurtis, and Julian. Great- grandfather of Olivia and Christien. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him. Relatives and friends will be received at Bernardo Funeral Home, 2960 Dufferin St. (two streets south of Lawrence Ave.) on Tuesday from 6 to 9 p.m. and on Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Funeral Service starts at 2 p.m. Private cremation arrangements. Donations made to the charity of your choice (in lieu of flowers) will be appreciated by the family.

MASSIE, Ronald W. "Ron" - (Proud Mason for over 50 years) Peacefully at Extendicare Guildwood on Monday, May 5th, 2008 at the age of 84 years. Beloved husband of the late Bess for 54 years. Loving father of Kathy Harper and her husband Rick, Ron Jr. and his wife Shirley. Grandpa Ron will be sadly missed by Ian and Scott. Ron will be fondly remembered by all who knew him. The family would like to thank all the staff at Extendicare Guildwood for their loving care. Visitation will be held at the "Scarborough Chapel" of McDougall & Brown, 2900 Kingston Rd. (East of St. Clair) on Wednesday, May 7th, 2008 from 6-9 p.m. Service in the funeral home chapel on Thursday, May 8th, 2008 at 11 a.m. Cremation to follow. McKEOWN, Raymond - Surrounded by the love of his family, Ray passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 4, 2008 at the age of 67. Beloved husband of Ellen. Loving father of Mike (Lorrie). Cherished and adored Papa of Kyle and Breanna. Dear brother of Lorraine (John), Neal (Barb), Marvin (Lillian) and the late Edward (Carol). Ray will be greatly missed by his many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, and many close friends. The family will receive friends at the McEACHNIE FUNERAL HOME, 28 Old Kingston Road, Pickering Village (Ajax) 905-428-8488 from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. on Wednesday, May 7th. A Funeral Service will be held at Pickering Village United Church (300 Church Street North, Ajax) on Thursday, May 8, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. with visiting for 1 hour prior. Loving father of Joseph Moncada, brother of Sr. Francesca, Rev. Emanuele Moncada, Rosaria, the late Sebastiano, Rosario, Salvatore and Pietro. Vincenzo will be fondly remembered by his in-laws, nephews, nieces, family and friends. Resting at the Highland Funeral Home, 3280 Sheppard Ave. E. (just west of Warden Ave.). Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 7th from 4-9 p.m. Funeral Mass on Thursday, May 8th at 10 a.m. in St. Lawrence Church, 2210 Lawrence Ave. (east of Birchmount Rd.). To honour Norm's wishes, cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, May 16, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at Grace United Church, 140 Bruce Street South in Thornbury.
