PAULL, Michael Lindsay

MICHAEL LINDSAY PAULL
(February 2, 1935 - May 4, 2008)

It is with great sadness that his family announces Michael's death in Markham Stouffville Hospital. Michael was born, raised and educated in Sunderland, England. After three years in the R.A.F. he joined Marconi as a radar and electronics engineer. In 1959 he married Barbara Venn (his wife and best friend for the next 48 years). He then joined the new and exciting world of live television engineering with Tynes Tees Television in Newcastle upon Tyne. In 1966, seeking new adventures, the Paulls emigrated to Canada with their three young children, Susan, Catherine and Jonathan. Michael joined Advertel in Toronto and New York, then started his own companies in California and Toronto, importing TV studio equipment from Europe, conducting R&D; and manufacturing in electronics and communications. In 2001, while exploring Petra in Jordan with Barbara, Michael was suddenly unable to walk back to their horses. This marked the onset of MS and then Parkinson's Syndrome. Michael really enjoyed life. He loved his family, his friends, good food, fine wines, travelling, history, photography, IT, sports cars, music and flying small airplanes. We will miss him so much.
