Suddenly at the Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital on Friday February 18, 2011 at the age of 63. Petra Waalwyk of Lagoon City, beloved wife of Frank Waalwyk. Loving mother of Miranda & husband Jeff Anderson of Kilworthy and Remco Waalwyk of Kitchener. Dear grandmother of Jordan and Daniella Anderson. Petra is survived by her brother John of Port Perry, 3 sisters and 1 brother in Europe and her mother in law Toos. Cremation has taken place and a private family service was held. Arrangements entrusted to the Doolittle Chapel of Carson Funeral Homes, 54 Coldwater St. E. Orillia, (705) 326-3595.

Clarence "Punch" Schamehorn
Passed suddenly in Orillia on Wednesday February 9, 2011 in his 52nd year. Clarence will be sadly missed by his brothers Danny (Elizabeth) and Kenneth (Mary Donnelly), by his sisters Alana (Don) Robinson and Jane (Dan Duffy), and by his many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and by his many friends. Clarence is predeceased by his parents Clarence and Alice, and by his sister-in-law Bonnie Schamehorn. Private family services. Interment of cremated remains will take place in the spring at Coopers Falls. Susan "Sue" Hunter
passed away at the Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital on Tuesday February 15, 2011, in her 69th year. Sue Hunter, beloved wife James Smith. Loving mother of Michael Hunter (Sharon) of Bradford and Kimberly Parris of Orillia. Will be missed by her grandchildren Leia, Cheyenne & Matthew and her great grandchildren Grace, Jacob & Harley. Dear sister of Joan, Edwin, Tom, Dave, John, Paul and predeceased by Fred & Audrey. Sue will be missed by many nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place. Stephanie "Irene" Irene Marie Beauchamp (Nee Cadeau)
passed away peacefully at home on Sunday February 13, 2011 in her 92nd year surrounded by family. Irene Beauchamp, of Victoria Harbour, beloved wife of the late Wilfred; loving mother of Pat of Barrie, Jean (late Buddy) of Waubaushene, Elaine (Ross) Lavigne of Midland, Rose (Art) Henry of Oshawa, Bill (Dorothy) of Oshawa, Mary Coffin of Oshawa, Buddy (Joyce) of Little Britain, Betty of Victoria Harbour, Doug (Bonnie) of Cobourg, and Martha (Alan) Coghill of Oshawa. Dear grandmother of 35, great grandmother of 42, and great-great grandmother of 6. Survived by her brother Donald Cadeau of Mississauga, and sister Yvonne Labatte of St. Catherines. Predeceased by her son Bob, daughter Deanna Russell, and sisters Violet, Georgina, and Bernadine, and brothers Alfred, Sanford, and Bernard. Family and friends will be received at Carson Funeral Homes – JH Lynn Chapel, 290 First Street, Midland (705) 526-6551 on Wednesday from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 pm. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, Victoria Harbour, on Thursday February 17th 2011 at 11 o’clock. Interment will be in the spring at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic cemetery. Memorial donation to St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church Building Fund would be appreciated by the family if desired.

Taylor Rachel (Nee Neddow)
Passed peacefully at Soldiers Memorial Hospital in Orillia on Thursday February 10, 2011 in her 68th year. Rachel, beloved wife of Murray, will be sadly missed by her daughters Shirley (Paul) Lafrance, and Kathy Taylor. Rachel will be loving remembered by her grandchildren Chase, Alexis, Cade, Chris, and Josh, by her sisters Phyllis Sweeney and Elaine (Bob) Slater, and is predeceased by her brother Ronald. She was a caring sister in law to Glenn (Mary) Taylor, Leona (Gerry) Mulville, and Del (Doreen) Taylor, and she will be cherished by her many nieces and nephews. Private family services. Leonard Joseph Bylow
passed away peacefully at Champlain Manor, Orillia, on Saturday June 22, 2013 in his 89th year. Beloved husband of Melba (nee Wilson) for over 70 years. Loving father of Phyllis (Gary) Montgomery of Orillia, Sandra (Jacob) Prisner of British Columbia, Gary (Pat) Bylow of Washago, and Cheryl (Scott) James of Orillia; grandfather of Darren (Kerrilee), Kelly (Ben), and Lauri (John); Jason, Brandi, and Tara; Trish (Rob), and Michelle; Erin, and Ben; great grandpa of Olivia and Julia; Ruby and Jasper; Kayla and Nick; Jasmine, Brandon, Cyndee, Mark, Tiffany, and Kayla; and Emma and Carter. Survived by his sisters Edna, and Helen; and brother Bernard. Predeceased by many brothers and sisters. The family will receive friends at the Doolittle Chapel of Carson Funeral Homes, 54 Coldwater St. E. Clifford Joseph St. Amant
passed away peacefully at home in Midland on Wednesday June 19, 2013 in his 72nd year. Clifford, predeceased by his companion of many years Mary Alexis Loney, and will be sadly missed by his sisters Bernice Juneau and Beatrice (Gord) Murray, by his brothers Norman (Marge) and Roger (Sylvia), and by his many nieces and nephews. Clifford is predeceased by his parents Mary and Norman St. Amant, his sisters Marie (Alfred) St. Amant and Christine (Jim) Lalonde, and by his brother in law John Juneau. Family and friends will be received at Carson Funeral Homes – JH Lynn Chapel, 290 First Street, Midland (705) 526-6551 on Friday June 21, 2013 from 2 – 4 & 7 – 9 p.m.. Parish prayers at 6:45. George Joseph Bernard Bradbury
Passed peacefully at Soldiers Memorial Hospital in Orillia on Tuesday June 18, 2013 in his 81st year. George, loving husband to Sylvia “Sadie”, will be sadly missed by his children Sharon Banwell and Paul (Wendy) Bradbury, and by his grandchildren Joseph, Jenessa, Jason, Laura, Andrew, Meghan, and Christopher. John Joseph Francis Patrick Murphy
Passed peacefully at Soldiers Memorial Hospital in Orillia after a brief illness on Monday June 17, 2013 in his 84th year. John is predeceased by his wife Jeanne, and will be sadly missed by his son John and wife Karen, and by his grandson John Matthew. John graduated from St. Michael’s College (University of Toronto) and retired from the family business (Canada Electric Casting Company). John was a sports enthusiast throughout his life, playing hockey, lacrosse, baseball and golf. He became a dedicated coach and member of the executive of CYO Hockey, and was a long-time member of the Couchiching Golf and Country Club. The family will receive friends at the Doolittle Chapel of Carson Funeral Homes, 54 Coldwater St. E. Orillia, (705) 326-3595, on Thursday June 20, 2013 from 3 – 5 and 7 – 9 p.m.. Parish prayers will be held at 6:45 p.m.. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at The Church of the Guardian Angels on Friday June 21, 2013 at 10 a.m.. Interment will follow at St. Michaels Catholic cemetery. If desired, memorial donations may be made to The Church of the Guardian Angels or to the Orillia Soldiers Memorial Hospital Foundation.

Joycelene Viola Stacey
passed away peacefully on Friday June 7, 2013 at the Georgian Bay General Hospital, Penetanguishene, with her family by her side. Joyce Stacey, of Victoria Harbour; survived by her loving husband Jim Carpenter. Loving mother of Wanda, Peter, Randy, Velvet, Barbara, and Jerry; dear grandmother of 15 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren all who she loved and lived for so much. Survived by her sisters Joan, June, Shirley, and Marlene; and brother Dean. Predeceased by her parents Tom and Margaret Stacey, daughter Laurie, brothers Ed, Don, Tom, Harold, Clarence, and Larry. Her passion for life and love for her grandchildren kept her going. She was always there to help when anyone was down and out; never walking away when she could do good. A celebration of Joyce’s life will be held at Carson Funeral Homes – JH Lynn Chapel, 290 First Street, Midland (705) 526-6551 on Saturday June 29, 2013 at 1 o’clock. Memorial donations in lieu of flowers to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family if desired.

Robert Miller Hallett
Passed peacefully at Soldiers Memorial Hospital on Tuesday June 11, 2013 in his 81st year. Predeceased by his wife Louise. Survived by his children Bernie Hallett, Sandra (Bud) Elshaw, Kevin (Sherry) Hallett, Carl (Christine) Hallett, Kelly McCoy, and Patty Ward (Rick Burnie), by his sister Ella (Ted) Smith, his brother Hilton Hallett, by his 15 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren, and by his friend Dale. The family will receive friends at the Doolittle Chapel of Carson Funeral Homes, 54 Coldwater St. E. Orillia, (705) 326-3595, on Friday June 14, 2013 from 2 – 4 & 6 – 8 p.m.. Funeral services will be held in the chapel on Saturday at 11 o’clock. Burial at St. Andrews St. James cemetery. If desired memorial donations may be made to the Hospital for Sick Children and would be appreciated by the family.

Joyce Marion Munro (Nee Craske)
It is with great sorrow that the Munro family announces the death of our beloved Joyce. She leaves a family who will greatly miss her and cherish her memory. Dearly loved wife of John C.C. Munro for sixty-four years (and the late Norman Fitton, Pilot Officer, deceased 1944). Her children Heather (Gordon Gauthier), and Bruce (Sheila), forever Nana to her grandchildren Sarah E. Gauthier of Wellington, New Zealand, Michelle Gauthier of Cornwall, Courtney Munro (Rob Calvert), Jordan Munro (Melissa), and Ashley (Kevin Haire). Her grandchildren were her treasures and her delight. Loving great Nana Joyce to her great granddaughter Maeve Gauthier, and great grandsons Jack Munro and Ethan Calvert. Beloved sister of Amy Stone, Kingston; predeceased by her brother Alfred Craske, and her sister Elizabeth Riggall both of England. Beloved aunt of Elizabeth Hewitt, Ruth Sorsby, and Paul Craske of England; Robert (Heather), Michael, and Jeffery Stone of Kingston. She was intelligent, sometimes formidable, leavened always by a wonderful warmth and sense of humour, and she was to the end stoic and dignified. Joyce spent her final years in Midland near John, who fought for her comfort and dignity until her last day. She lived every day with grace and purpose. She was loyal, supportive and patient, a role model for all. Family and friends will be received at Carson Funeral Homes – JH Lynn Chapel, 290 First Street, Midland (705) 526-6551 on Monday June 10, 2013 from 11:30 AM until the time of Funeral Service celebrated in the chapel at 1 o’clock. Internment to follow at St. Mark’s Anglican cemetery , Midland. Memorial donations in lieu of flowers to the Salvation Army or St. Mark’s Anglican-Lutheran Church would be appreciated by the family if desired.
