At the Community Nursing Home, Alexandria on Tuesday, November 6, 2012. Antonio Silva Batista of Alexandria; age 87 years. Beloved husband of the late Maria-Eugenia Batista (nee Ramires). Loving father of Gilbert Antonio Batista (Gaetane Hamel) of Montreal and Aline Batista (Gary Lockie) of Alexandria. Cherished grandfather of Daniel, Joelle and Michael. Dear son of the late Antonio Batista and the late Isabelle Silva. Peacefully at home on Wednesday, November 7, 2012. Harriet Mae MacDonald (nee MacDonell) of Alexandria; age 86 years. Beloved wife of 48 years to Stuart MacDonald. Loving mother of Elizabeth Caddell (Brian) of Alexandria. Cherished grandmother of Sarah and John Caddell, and step grandmother of Chris Caddell. Predeceased by 3 brothers Duncan (late Barbara), John Leo, and Douglas MacDonell, and by 3 sisters Margaret Renaud (late Lloyd), Sarah Bridge (late Edward), and Theresa MacDonell. Dear daughter of the late John D. MacDonell and the late Mary Ann MacLean. Sadly missed by caregiver Evelyn Cerdenola Fabros, and by her beloved pet dog Frodo. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Loving father of Sandra MacKinnon (Ben), Patrick, Bonnie Cattanach (Robert), Alan (Marilyn), Cate McDougall (Brian), Danny (Stephanie), Mark (Debbie), Scott (Vivian). Dear brother of Donnie, the late Louis, Catherine McGrath (late Phil) and Frances Picard (Maurice). Predeceased by his parents Angus McDougall and Christena McDonald and one son Brent (Diane). Proud grandfather of 14 grandchildren; Quinn, Craig, Margaret, Jessie, Andrew, Alana, Jennifer, Kerry, Sean, Rory, Connor, Lauren, Alicia and Alec. passed away peacefully on October 30, 2012 after a courageous battle with cancer. Audrey Cheryl Austin of Alexandria; age 64 years. Predeceased by her loving husband Robert George Austin. She is survived by her son Raye, daughter in law Jennifer, and 10 brothers and sisters; Carol Brown, Wendy Sinclair, Kenneth Pugh, Pamela Fehst, Judith Thomas, David Pugh, Karen Justason, Randi Kynock, Patricia Douglass, Henri Vigneau. Predeceased by her parents William Pugh and Winnifred Edwards. Relatives and friends may call at the Munro & Morris Funeral Homes Ltd., 114 Main St. South, Alexandria (613-525-2772) on Saturday, November 3, 2012 from 3-4 pm. Predeceased by 9 brothers Leo, Raymond, Alcide, Fernand, Adelard, Maurice, Rolland, Wilfred and Jerome. Cherished grandfather of Emily Campbell-Sabourin and Jessica Hyatt. Dear son of the late Ernest Sabourin and the late Emily Charlebois. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Angels Catholic Church, Moose Creek on Saturday, November 3, 2012 at 11 am. With sorrow and sadness we announce the passing of our mother at the Parisien Manor, Cornwall on Thursday, October 25, 2012. Predeceased by her husband George, and her parents Gertrude Grainger and John Fields. Survived by her children Judy Mulligan (Jim) of Sudbury, Blair (Wendy) of Thunder Bay, Nancy of Regina Sk., her grandchildren Shannon (Jonathan Lee) of Newmarket, Lisa (Jeff Downey) of Battersea, Andrew Croll (Stacy Archibald) of Fargo North Dakota, Amy Croll of Ottawa, by her great-grandchildren Brianna and Shauna Lee, Ella Downey, Elizabeth, Catherine and William Croll, and by her sister Mary Burkholder of Barrie. Predeceased by her sisters Iva Knechtel, Audrey Tyreman, and Joan McClelland. An avid gardener and flower arranger extraordinaire, talented knitter, keen euchre player are but a few of her claims to fame. As per mum’s wishes cremation has taken place, and there will be no visitation. Burial of ashes in family plot in St. Andrew’s United Church Cemetery, Williamstown will take place at a later date. Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of the Munro & Morris Funeral Homes Ltd., 46 Oak St. Lancaster (613-347-3629). As expressions of sympathy Memorial Donations to the Green Thumb Horticultural Society, to the St. Lawrence Valley Agricultural Society (Williamstown Fair), or to the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
