Jean “Jeannie” Gail (nee Jamieson) Lecappelain

LECAPPELAIN, Jean “Jeannie” Gail (nee Jamieson) - Peacefully, after a long and very courageous battle with cancer, Jeannie passed away at North Bay General Hospital on April 9, 2009. Jeannie is survived by her loving husband Jim and her three sons, David, Daniel and Mark. She was the daughter of the late Jeanne and Gordon Jamieson; dear sister of Maurice (Shirley), Gerald (Lynda), Elaine Ringuette (Ted, deceased), Carol Wraight (Ted), Sandra Pearce and Marty-deceased. She will be dearly remembered by her mother-in- law, Marie (Alton, deceased); sister and brothers-in-law, Nancy Walsh (Mike), Steve (Karen) Lecappelain, Bruce (Carolyn) Lecappelain, Larry (Connie) Lecappelain and her many nieces and nephews. Jeannie was a devoted mother, homemaker, as well as a special hockey Mom. Earlier she worked at the Lee Plant as a supervisor until it closed and after spending time raising her family she worked at Jeff & Tanis No Frills in Ferris. Jeannie will always be remembered for her keen wit and great sense of humor. She was a member of St. Rita's Church. Family and friends may pay their respects at McGUINTY FUNERAL HOME, for a memorial visitation on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A memorial mass will be celebrated at St. Rita's Church, Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. Cremation at Forest Lawn Crematorium. As expressions of sympathy, donations to North Bay General Hospital or Northern Ontario Research Centre would be gratefully appreciated by the family. The family wishes to express our heartfelt gratitude to the doctors, nurses and staff of the North Bay General Hospital, the Northern Ontario Research Centre and the home care for all their care and kindness, as well as many family and friends for their love and support.

Gladys Marion (nee Eddge) Sunderland

SUNDERLAND, Gladys Marion (nee Eddge) - Peacefully at Kingston General Hospital after a brief illness; April 8, 2009 in her 82nd year. Predeceased by her husband Donald William (1983). Gladys is survived by her sons Glenn Sunderland (Elaina) of Sydenham and Brian Sunderland of Ottawa. Loving grandmother to Kyle, Lucus, Steven and Benjamin. Family and friends will be received at TROUSDALE FUNERAL HOME, Sydenham on Monday April 13, 2009 between the hours of 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Funeral service to follow in the funeral home at 11:00 a.m. Committal Prayers at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Maitland at 3:30 p.m. on Monday April 13, 2009. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the caring staff at Fairmount Nursing Home and the staff at the Kingston General Hospital E.C.U. for their exceptional care of our mother. Elfriede Karoline Johanna Hammer

HAMMER, Elfriede Karoline Johanna - passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 07, 2009. In keeping with Elfriede's wishes, a private family service was held. Elfie was predeceased by her husband, Karl Johann Hammer, her beloved son, Michael W. Hammer, beloved mother, Maria Wimmer and beloved father, Josef Wimmer Sr. She was loved by many, and will be sorely missed by her sons Karl Sr. (Rachel), Walter, and Robert (Katherine), brother and cherished friend Josef Wimmer Jr. (Debbie), sister Herta Wurtzl (Peter), and daughter in- law Tracie Hanna. Elfriede was deeply loved by her grandchildren Eleisa (Gulio), Karl Jr. (Michelle), Matthew (Helena), Chris (Lynn), Kristina (Tyler), Natasha (John), Bianca (Jamie), Kallyssa, Kiara, Olivia and Logan; great-grandchildren Tabitha, Noah, Jakob (Jack) and Haley. Elfriede's family extends heartfelt appreciation to Dr. Ivan Stewart and the staff at St. Mary's of the Lake Hospital South Palliative Care Unit and Home Can Care nurses, Robin and Richard, for their kindness and caring. The family has lost an inspirational mother, doting grandmother and loving great- grandmother, but all have gained a guardian angel that will continue to guide us all, and remain in our memories forever.

John Turrell

TURRELL, John - Peacefully, surrounded by love, at the Kingston General Hospital, on Thursday April 9, 2009, John Turrell age 77 years. Beloved husband of Phyllis nee Ambury. Brother of Bill (Anne) and the late Janet Morgan. John will also be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. He was a long standing member of the congregation of Bethel A.G.C. Church. Friends may call at the ROBERT J. REID & SONS FUNERAL HOME, 309 Johnson Street (at Barrie Street) on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. The Funeral Service will be held in “The Chapel on The Corner“ on Monday April 13, 2009 at 2 pm. Interment Glenhaven Memorial Gardens. Constance “Connie“ Newman (Reeves)

NEWMAN (REEVES), Constance “Connie“ - passed away peacefully at the North Bay General Hospital on Thursday, December 18, 2008. Connie Wheat, was the beloved wife of the late Donald Murray Reeves, she was 87 years old. Loving mother of Richard and his wife Debbie of Alberta, Don and his wife Faye of British Columbia, Dale Cimolai of Brampton and son-in-law Roderick Bellenie of Britich Columbia. Connie was predeceased by her daughter Deborah. She will be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Nadia, Rosanna, Elena, Trevor, Linden, Kyle and Natasha. Predeceased by her siblings Eric Wheat, Fred Wilkinson, Jessie Woodward and Dorothy Jones. A graveside service to inter her ashes will be held at the Terrace Lawn Cemetery on Wednesday, April 15th, at 11:00 am. A donation to the Canadian Diabetic Association or the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be gratefully acknowledged as expressions of sympathy. Artrangements entrusted to the MARTYN FUNERAL HOME

Sheila Gladys (nee Watkins) Marshall

MARSHALL, Sheila Gladys (nee Watkins) - In loving memory of Sheila Gladys Marshall (nee Watkins). Born in Hanwell, England March 24, 1921. passed away April 9th, 2009 at the St. Joseph Health Centre, Sudbury at the age of 88 years. Beloved wife of Freeman Nelson Marshall (predeceased November 11, 1998). Devoted mother of Joan Shrigley (husband Leslie) of Lively. Cherished grandmother of Mark Shrigley of Sudbury and Erin Monahan (husband Sean) of Lively, great grandmother of Austin and Connor Monahan. Dear sister of Beatrice McDonald (husband Frank predeceased) of Capreol and Clifford Watkins predeceased (wife Ruth of North Bay). Dear aunt of Tammy Rideout (husband John) of North Bay, Terri McQuaig (husband David) of Cambridge, Timothy Watkins of North Bay, and Thomas Watkins (wife Ashley) of North Bay. Dear daughter of Len and Mary Watkins (predeceased). Sheila was a devout woman of faith who dearly loved her family, and was especially proud of her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a Member of the CWL St. Pius X Church of Lively. Sheila enjoyed classical music and movies, and family gatherings. Resting at the JACKSON AND BARNARD FUNERAL HOME, 233 Larch St. Funeral Mass in St Pius X Church, Lively Monday, April 13th, 2009 at 10 am. Cremation at the Parklawn Crematorium. Louis Champagne

CHAMPAGNE Louis - With great sorrow the family of Louis Joseph Champagne of Corbeil, announces his passing at North Bay General Hospital (Scollard Site), Thursday, April 9, 2009. He is survived by his cherished wife Patricia Margaret Champagne (nee Clarke) of 52 years. Louis was the very proud and loving father of Jody Ann Hebert (Kevin) and their children Gillian and Kyle of Corbeil and Jeff Champagne (Geraldine) and their children Aaron, Julia and Joseph of Oshawa. Louis spent his life in construction, then retiring from his own company in 1978, moving to Corbeil. Pat and Louis spent many years wintering in the Carolinas, traveling and golfing with family and a multitude of friends from Canada and the United States. Sadly missed by sisters, Helene Beaver (Bob deceased) of Marmora, Aline Truchon (Gerry deceased) of Callander, Laurence Ethier (Rolly) of Cambellford, Cecile Aubut (Gilbert) of Callander, one brother Gerard Champagne (Alice) of Alberta and sisters-in- law Helen Bechtel (Chet) of Florida and Barbara Clarke (John) of Mesa, Arizona. Predeceased by his parents, Mathlide and Zephirin Champagne and two brothers Charlie (Katharine) and Jim (Dorothy surviving). Family receiving friends at McGUINTY FUNERAL HOME, Sunday from 7 - 9 p.m. Funeral service will be conducted in the Funeral Home Chapel Monday at 11:00 a.m. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the North Bay General Hospital Foundation would greatly appreciated by the family.

Rosalba Saladini (née Palombi)
March 14, 1947 - June 30, 2009

It is with great sorrow we announce the passing of Rosalba Saladini after a long courageous battle with cancer, in her 63rd year, on June 30, 2009, surrounded by her loving family, at the Dr. Bob Kemp Hospice. She is predeceased by her husband of 41 years Lorenzo Saladini, daughter Nicolina and grandson Cj Lorenzo Aikema. Beloved mother of Giovanna and Michael Zyma, Cristina and John Aikema, Pietro and Kelly Saladini. Adoring nonna of Jesse, Victoria, Michelle, Cheyenne, Jonathan, Jake and Alysha. Devoted sister of Silvio (Elena) Palombi, Maria (Filippo) Valianti, Vincenza (Late Paolo) Citeroni, Quinta (late Mario) Bonbini, Stefano (Guiliana) Palombi, Roberta (Antonio) Guerrieri, across Italy and Belgium. Will be sadly missed by sisters and brothers-in-law Giuseppina and Antonio Agostini, Eugenio and Caterina Saladini as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. Rosalba had a passion for learning and reading, among her accomplishments she taught herself to read and write English. She worked over 30 years in the Bindery Services and upon her retirement enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and reading her large collection of books. Visitation will be at the FRISCOLANTI FUNERAL CHAPEL, 43 Barton Street East (near James) on Thursday, July 2 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. with Vigil Prayer on Thursday at 8:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be offered at St. Margaret Mary Church on Friday, July 3 at 11:00 a.m. Entombment to follow at Our Lady of the Angels Mausoleum. Donations on behalf of Rosalba can be made to the Dr. Bob Kemp Hospice or the Canadian Cancer Society and are greatly appreciated by the family.
