Luigi "Lou" Maida
April 05, 1939 - March 06, 2005

After a courageous battle with cancer, peacefully with his family at his side, at the Henderson General Hospital, on Sunday, March 6, 2005, in his 66th year. Beloved husband of Anna (nee Pacifici). Dearly beloved father and father-in-law of Diane and Ed Spagnoletti, Lisa and Pat Caruso, Lou and Cristina Maida. Adoring Nonno to Amanda, Sara, Melissa and Brandon. Dearest brother of Pietro (Elvira), Rachael (late Leonardo Rogano), Virginia (Sam Qualglia). Dearest brother-in-law to Frank and Kathy Pacifici and Joanne and Mario Faustino. Beloved uncle to many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Angelo and Natalina Maida and son-in-law of Giovanni and Iride Pacifici. Lou was the owner and operator of Lou's Hairstyling and Barber Shop for almost 50 years. Funeral Mass on Wednesday 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Parish, 416 Mohawk Road East, with entombment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Juravinski Cancer Centre Research. Special thank you to Dr. R. Foley, Dr. A. Benger, Dr. J. Corsini and the nursing staff on Ward 396 and ICU. Very special thanks to his nurse Debbie Ciotti-Bowman and Concession Medical Pharmacy. What can you say to someone who has always been one of the most essential parts of your world; someone who took you by the hand when you were little and helped show you the way… what do you say to someone who stood by to help you grow, providing love, strength and support so you could become the person you are today? What can you say to let him know that he’s the best there is, and that you hope you’ve inherited some of his wisdom and his strength? What words would you say if you ever got the chance? Maybe you’d just say “We love you, Dad…” and hope he understands.

Kenneth Frederick Morgan
November 03, 1942 - March 03, 2005

MORGAN, Kenneth - Peacefully at the General Hospital, on Thursday, March 3, 2005, in his 63rd year. Predeceased by his wife Wendy. Loving father to Nicole, Tanya and Chantelie. Sadly missed by his grand-children, brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews and especially his niece Linda Cameron. Kenny was a member of the Moose Lodge of Hamilton. Resting at FRISCOLANTI FUNERAL CHAPEL, 43 Barton Street East (near James), on Sunday from 7-9 p.m. Chapel Service in the Funeral Home on Monday at 2 p.m. Cremation to follow. Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.

Angelo Morreale
August 05, 1918 - February 22, 2005

passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, February 22, 2005, in his 87th year. Born August 5, 1918 in Hamilton, Ontario, Son of the late Vincenzo and Carmela Morreale. Predeceased by brothers James and Joseph. Loving brother of Lena Lord and husband Raymond, Mary Franco and late husband Nick, all of Hamilton. Dearly loved uncle of Dr. James Morreale, Bob Morreale, Russell Morreale, Carmela Brown, Frances Demaline, Paul Lord Donald Lord and the late SamueI Morre e, He will be dearly missed by 14 great-nieces and nephews and 8 great great nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. A proud life long citizen of Hamilton he enjoyed 22 years of retirement from Stelco. Uncle Angelo taught us how to enjoy live sporting events, especially baseball, and live theatre on Broadway and in Toronto. Visitation at the FRISCOLANTI FUNERAL CHAPEL, 43 Barton Street East (near James) on Friday from 2-5 and 6-9 p.m. Vigil Prayers at 8 p.m. Funeral Mass will be offered at St. Patrick's Church on Saturday, February 26, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. Private interment, In lieu of flowers donations to the Good Shepard Centre would be appreciated by the family.

Peacefully, at St. Peter’s Hospital on Tuesday, March 1, 2005.
Giuseppe Filice, aged 80 years. Dearly loved husband of Angela. Loved father of Lea and her husband Neil Cutcher, Tony Filice and his wife Carolyn, Bruno Filice and Mario Filice and his wife Laurie. Dear Nonno of Andrew, Alexander, Cassandra, Victoria, Mikhaila and Michael. Dear brother of Frances and her husband Vito Iemmolo and the late Luigi and the late Antonio.

Loving mother of John and his wife Aurelia (nee De Santis) of Hamilton. Nonna will be fondly remembered by her grandchildren Frank and Karen, Anna and Tony and great-granddaughter Alessia. Maria will be sadly missed by her sister Concetta of Italy and is predeceased by her brothers and sisters Francesco, Minina, Lisetta, Antonio, Ferruccio and Remigio. January 11, 1955 - February 21, 2005

Peacefully at her home on Monday Feburary 21st, 2005 at the age of 50. Lu Ann will be greatly missed by her special companion and soul mate Paul Bodden and his daughter Kaylea and his parents Noreen and Earl. Adoring and devoted daughter of Irene Mitchell (Bill), Ray England (Freda). Dearest sister of Jan England, Shelly Robson and Peter Mulder, Lori England and Randy Ebeson, Jackie Mitchell and Allen McDougall, Kirk Mitchell and Pam Soloducha, Loraine and Mike, Irene and Kerry. Lu Ann was a special Aunt to Stacey Kenady, MacKenzie, Jade, Kristyn, Katelyn, Cameron, Kaleigh and great nieces Jayla, and Elycia. Lu Ann will be sadly missed by many her aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who she loved so much. Special thanks to the rehabilitation unit of Chedoke McMaster Hospitals. Donations to Chedoke, McMaster Hospital in Lu Ann’s memory would be greatly appreciated by her family. A private family service has taken place.

Peacefully at McMaster Hospital on Wednesday, February 23, 2005 in her 95th year. Beloved wife of the late Felice. Loving mother of Guido and Ruth, Tony, Nena and the late Adelmo Lombardi, Maria and Sam Amodeo. Cherished grandmother of Nancy and Greg, Felice, Josie, Sheila, Vincenzo DiNicola, Piero and Giulio and Shelley Amodeo. Great-grandmother of Carlo, Nina, Julia, Lucas, Nicole, Madelene and Grace. Survived by her sister Gina Del Fiacco. Resting at FRISCOLANTI FUNERAL CHAPEL, 43 Barton Street East (near James) on Thursday from 7-9 and Friday from 2-4 and 7-9. Vigil prayers on Friday at 8:15. Funeral Mass will be offered at All Souls Church on Saturday at 10 a.m. Entombment to follow at Holy Sephuchre Cemetery.
