Elizabeth Anne (Beth) McDougall (nee McKay) - 06/22/2006
passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on June 21, 2006. Beth was born in Medicine Hat, Alberta on January 23, 1935 to Ross and Kathleen McKay. She is predeceased by her parents and by her husband Jim McDougall. She is survived by her two daughters, Cathy Belanger (Ottawa) and Patti McDougall (Saskatoon); sons-in-law Mike Belanger and Ron Borowsky; three beloved grandchildren Wesleigh and Lisanne Belanger and Braedy Borowsky. Beth spent a life time caring about and looking after the people around her. She was an extraordinary mother, grandmother and friend. She lead a full and vibrant life right up until the very end and we are grateful for everything she has done to enrich our lives and to teach us about strength, dignity and support ("You got that right!") Friends may visit at the St. Laurent Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 1200 Ogilvie Road at Aviation Parkway on Wednesday, June 28, 2006 from 7-9pm and on Thursday, June 29 from 11am until service time in the Chapel at 1pm. Caia Lee Miller - 06/28/2006
Peacefully in hospital in Montreal on Wednesday, June 28th 2006, in her 35th year. Caia Miller, beloved daughter of June and the late David Miller, dearest sister of Sean, was predeceased by her grandparents George and Constance Miller and Ed and Sara Laushway. Caia's life was enriched by the correspondence she enjoyed with four generations of her extended family. Caia was a systems engineering graduate from the University of Waterloo and, more recently, was pursuing studies in demography at the University of Montreal. She was a young woman of courage, wit, compassion and grace, who will be sadly missed by her family and by her many friends. Her family would like to thank Doctors Marleau and Nutini and everyone who looked after Caia at the H pital St-Luc in Montreal for their outstanding care and affection. In addition, we will be forever grateful to the donor family, whose generosity gave us ten more years with our darling girl. Friends may visit at the St. Laurent Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 1200 Ogilvie Road at Aviation Parkway on Friday, June 30th from 7 to 9pm and on Saturday, July 1st from 10am until service time in the Chapel at 11am. Andy died peacefully at home in his own bed with his parents and his brothers and sister by his side. He fought for his life until he died. He will be sadly missed by his mother Lisa, Ron and his father Peter, Helen, his brothers Daniel and Marc, his sister Erica and his grandfather Dr. Lindsay Graham as well as his extended family. Andy's family would like to thank his many friends for their unfailing support. Many thanks also to the nurses, staff and doctors of CHEO's Oncology Clinic, the 4 North Ward, the Palliative Care team, the Children's Wish Foundation and Candlelighters. Special thanks are due to Pelle and to Jean, Heather, Raveena, and Marilyn. Thank you to the Hansen/Nottaway Clan, to David Jock of the Bear Clan and David Shanks of the Turtle Clan for the great kindness and wisdom you offered to Andy. Peacefully on Sunday, June 18, 2006, age 87 years. Beloved wife of the late Frank Pautler Sr. Loving mother of Frank Pautler ( Lori ) of Medicine Hat, Alberta. Cherished grandmother of Travis and Heather Pautler. Also survived by her sister Mary Evans and her very close friends Gerry Manion and Frank Smith. Predeceased by three brothers, Jack, Frank and George Kennedy. Helen was fond of saying people should be good, kind and loving and she lived her life that way. Peacefully in hospital on Tuesday, June 20, 2006, in her 97th year. Predeceased by husband, Foster Payne and four brothers, Allan, Kenneth, Bill and Homer. Leigh was born in Valhalla New York, daughter of Frederick and Edith Kuhns. and moved, with her family, to Ottawa in 1924, where she attended Glebe Collegiate and later, worked for the Metropolitan Life. Survived by sons Allan (Phoebe) of Raymond Alberta and Bob (Joanne) of Ottawa. Fondly remembered by 8 grandchildren, many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Many thanks for the compassionate care at the Perley Rideau Veterans Health Centre, Ottawa 1 West. Private interment at Capital Memorial Gardens.

Proud grandmother of 11 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. She is survived by her sisters Ruby Tiffin and Elsie McDermand and brother Earl McKinnon. Department of Transport Retired In Ottawa on Thursday, June 22, 2006 at age 76, following a short and courageous battle with cancer. Predeceased by her parents Lulu and Monsour; sisters Sadie and Diana; brother John. Survived by her sister-in-law Helen Rossy and brother-in-law Edward Shadeed (Lucie). Mourning the passing of their dear aunt are; Philip (Dianne), Katherine (Peter Ernst), Elizabeth Convery and Violet Rossy; Debbie (Darryl Claydon), Nancy (Nicholas Lomonossoff) and Matthew Shadeed (Linda) and numerous great nieces and nephews. Doris brightened the lives of her family with her presence and stories of her travels.
