Lydia L'Etoile
February 26, 1934 - November 10, 2001

Lydia L’Etoile, Peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Saturday November 10, 2001 at the West Lincoln Memorial Hospital in her 68th year. Beloved wife to the late Paul (1991). Dearest Mother of Sylvain L’Etoile and his wife Lily, Sophie McAlonan and her husband Daniel. Adoring Ma to Samantha, Daniel, Chantel and Isacc. Devoted daughter of Emilia and the late Allen McCutcheon. Dear sister and sister in law of Edgar and the late Claire Lebel, Ruth and Phil Gagnon. Lynda will be sadly missed by her many neices and nephews. Special thanks to the Hospital Ward C and especially Rev. Dayle and Kathy Muzyka for their kindness and friendship.
Visitation at the Friscolanti Funeral Chapel 43 Barton St. East (near James) Monday 6-9 p.m. Vigil prayers Monday at 8 p.m. Funeral Mass Tuesday 9:30 a.m. Cremation to follow. Donations to Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.

Giuseppe Grieci

Peacefully on Tuesday, July 22, 2003, surrounded by his loving family, at the Henderson General Hospital, in his 83rd year. Devoted husband of Antonietta for 49 years. Loving father of Tony and Anna (Riverso), Concetta and Giorgio Scarpetti, and Angela. Cherished Nonno to Susanna, Patrizia, Tanya, David and Joseph. Dear brother of the late Angelo of Italy, Giovanni of the U.S.A., sisters Rosina Memmolo and Antonietta Santosuosso. Will be sadly missed by sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, aunt, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends from Canada, the U.S.A., Italy and Australia. Giuseppe was a Veteran of the Second World War. Special thanks to Dr. Edemariam Tsega, the Nurses of Ward 385 at the Henderson, especially Venus Velasquez.
Visitation at the FRISCOLANTI FUNERAL CHAPEL, 43 Barton Street East (near James), Thursday and Friday from 6-9 p.m. Vigil Prayers on Friday at 7 p.m. Funeral Mass to be held at Our Lady of Lourdes on Saturday at 9:30 a.m. with Entombment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.

Manuel Fragosa

Peacefully after a lengthy illness, Manuel passed away on Sunday, July 20, 2003 at St. Joseph's Hospital.
Visitation at FRISCOLANTI FUNERAL CHAPEL, 43 Barton Street East (near James) on Monday from 7-9 p.m. and Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass at St. Mary's Church (time to be announced). Entombment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.

Carmela Agro

Peacefully at Chedoke McMaster Continuing Care on Sunday, July 20, 2003, Carmela Agro (nee Insalaco) in her 74th year. Beloved wife of Calogero Agro. Loved mother of Vincent and his wife Rosanna. Dearest grandmother of Carmela and Charles Nicholas. Dear sister of Raffaele and the late Calogera of Hamilton, Salvatrice Sferazza, Rosa Vasapoli both of Italy and the late Giuseppina Martorana of Belgium. Carmela will be sadly missed by sisters and brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation at the FRISCOLANTI FUNERAL CHAPEL, 43 Barton Street East (near James) on Tuesday 6-9 p.m and Wednesday 5-9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be offered on Thursday, July 24, 2003 at All Souls Church at 10:00 a.m. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Vigil Prayers Wednesday 8:30 p.m. If desired donations to Chedoke Continuing Care or the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated by the family. At St. Joseph's Hospital on Saturday, July 19, 2003 Concetta Carbone in her 79th year. Beloved wife of the late Giandomenico Carbone. Loved mother of Tony and Gerarda Carbone, Mike and Ivana Carbone, Luigi and Anna Carbone. Dear Grandmother of John and Amanda, Tina and Joe, Dominic and Felicia, Mark and Michelle, Connie and John, John and Carm. Also survived by 3 great- grandchildren and a brother Nicola Felice. Visitation at the FRISCOLANTI FUNERAL CHAPEL, 43 Barton Street East (near James), on Monday 5-9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be offered at St. Anthony of Padua Church on Tuesday, July 22, 2003 at 9:30 a.m. Entombment Our Lady of Victory Mausoleum. Arthur Zanin

Peacefully at Victoria Gardens Long Term Care, on Friday, July 11, 2003 at the age of 89. He is survived by many nieces and nephews and great- nieces and nephews. Predeceased by one brother and two sisters. A Private Cremation has taken place. A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, July 18th at 1 p.m. at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Enzo Valeri
July 29, 1922 - July 17, 2003

Peacefully passed away, surrounded by his loving family, at the Henderson Hospital on Thursday, July 17, 2003, in his 81st year. Devoted husband of Maria for 56 years. Loving father to Sandra, Mimma (Tom) and Tony (Terri). Special Nonno to Vincent, Alishia, Clarissa (Sam), Flavia, Loredana, Anthony and Luca. Survived by brother Giovanni (Gina), many relatives in Canada, Italy and Argentina, nieces and nephews. Will be sadly missed by Vince Valeri. Predeceased by Loreto Alonzi. Retired from Dofasco after 35 years of service. Vice President of the Associazione Nazionale Alpini Sezione Di Hamilton. Many thanks to Drs. Figueredo, Sanatani, Simunovic, Fernandez, nurses and the palliative care team on Ward 395 for their special care. The family will receive friends at the FRISCOLANTI FUNERAL CHAPEL, 43 Barton Street East (near James) on Monday and Tuesday from 5-9 p.m. Vigil Prayers at 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Funeral Mass on Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. at St. Anthony's Church (Barton and Prospect). Entombment to follow at our Lady of Victory Mausoleum at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. James Morreale
January 28, 1914 - July 12, 2003

passed away peacefully at his home early Saturday, July 12, 2003, in his 90th year. Born January 28, 1914 in Hamilton, Ontario. Predeceased by wife Laura (Rosart), son Samuel and brother Joseph. Loving father of James Morreale and wife Frances of Hamilton, Bob Morreale and wife Linda of Stoney Creek, Russell Morreale and wife Connie of Toronto, Frances Demaline and husband Bill of Stoney Creek and father-in-law of Lorraine Morreale of Vancouver, B.C. Son of the late Vincenzo and Carmela Morreale. Beloved brother of Angelo Morreale, Lena Lord and husband Raymond, Mary Franco and late husband Nick, all of Hamilton. Dearly loved grandfather of James Morreale and wife Shannon Allan, Lisa Ronan and husband Peter, Mark Morreale and wife Nicola Giles-Morreale, Michael Morreale and wife Joanne Malar, Angelo, Gregory, Daniel, Andrew and Paula Morreale and Julie and Ryan Lutz. He will be dearly missed by his seven great-grandchildren and his many nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends. Jim was the patriarch of his family and enjoyed celebrating many occasions with them. A proud life-long citizen of Hamilton, he retired from Stelco as General Foreman, Open Hearth after 40 years and enjoyed 28 years of retirement. A member of the Canadian Martyrs Parish, Jim was active in the Catholic community. He was an honorary member of the Knights of Columbus and a founding member of the Cathedral High School Fathers' Club. Jim was a passionate Hamilton Tiger Cat fan for over 50 years. Special thanks to his caregiver Candace Ellison and the staff of VON. Visitation will be held at the FRISCOLANTI FUNERAL CHAPEL, 43 Barton Street East (near James), Monday, July 14 and Tuesday, July 15 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Prayers will be held Tuesday at 7 p.m. Funeral will be held Wednesday, July 16 at 11 a.m. at Canadian Martyrs Church, Main Street West, Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Plains Road West, Burlington. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Hamilton Health Sciences Corporation or the Good Shepherd Centres.

Belva Lillian Giankos

At the Hamilton General Hospital, on Thursday, July 10, 2003, age 49 years. Beloved friend and companion of Frank Tassone. She will be sadly missed by family, friends, Gigi and her dearest granddaughter Zoe.
