Connie Nardi at the age of 89 years. Wife of the late Frank Nardi. Mother of; Len Monico (Ruth), Elaine Bronicheski (Walter), Joe Nardi (Carol) and Frank Nardi (Cynthia). Grandmother of; Adele Nanne (Mark), Annette Donofrio (Derek), Jim Monico (Christianne), Joy Anne Bronicheski, Sam Nardi and Francesco Nardi. Great-grandmother of; Jessica, Brian, Mackenzie and Dylan. Sister of Bambi Paciocco of Mount Pleasant, Michigan and the late Michael Nanne. Special Aunt to; Louis Nanne, Michael Nanne, Julia Lamberts and Chris Taffs. A private family funeral was held at Northwood Funeral Home (942 Great Northern Road 945-7758). Memorial donations made to the Connie Nardi Student Bursary at Sault College would be appreciated by the family.

Peacefully at the North Bay General Hospital, on Saturday, September 11, 2004 at the age of 55 years. Beverley Anne (nee Hall) was the beloved wife of Robert Henry Penner. Dearly loved mother of Allan Maitland (Debbie), Bruce Maitland (Tammy) and Brian Maitland (Bobbi-Jo) and Christopher Penner and step mother of Robert Penner (Cindy Mac), Angela LeRoy (Bill) and Susan Rochon (Jeff Perrin). Beverley will be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Kenneth, Robert, Eric, Christina, Justin, Nikita, Branden, Courtney, Alysha, Emily and Brian. A dedicated wife and mother Beverley enjoyed knitting, cooking, baking and Bingo. In accordance with her wishes cremation has taken place. The Penner family will receive friends at the Menard Funeral Home, Blind River, Ontario on Thursday, September 16, 2004 from 10 a.m. until time for a memorial service in the chapel at 11 a.m. Interment of ashes will follow in the Spruce Grove Cemetery, Iron Bridge, Ontario. If desired, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society will be gratefully acknowledged as expressions of sympathy.

passed away at Kelowna General Hospital on Thursday, September 9, 2004 at the age of 83. Mel was born February 21, 1921 at Sault Ste. Marie, ON. He served on Sault Ste. Marie City Council, RCAF and served in World War II for four years as a flight engineer officer with the Number Four Squadron. He moved to Kelowna in 1978 where he worked in the insurance business. Mel was known for his wonderful smile, great singing voice, honourable character and generosity. He is survived by his loving wife Myrtle of 61 years; his children Bruce (Judy) of Cambridge, ON, Barbara (Doug) of Vancouver, BC, Patricia (Keith) of Cambridge, ON, James (Melissa) of Douglassville, Pennsylvania; grandchildren: Paul, John, Scott, Jeff, Dawn, Katherine, David, Andrew, Christina and Victoria; great grandchildren: Clayton, Coleman, Benjamin, Megan and C.J., brothers: Lorne, Elmer, Norman and Arnold Radke all of Ontario; and sister Doris Gable of Kelowna. Predeceased by his brother Vincent. A celebration of his life will be held on Monday, September 13, 2004 at 2 p.m. at St. Paul's United, 3131 Lakeshore Road, Kelowna, BC with Rev. Wayne Laurie officiating. Cremation to follow. With great sadness the family of Barry Wakefield West announce his passing on Monday, September 13, 2004 at the Sault & Area Hospitals. Survived by his loving wife and best friend Patricia, son Martin (Susan), daughters Catherine (Jeff), Cheryl (Glenn), Debora (Joe) and three precious grandsons Ryan David Madden, Kile John Arthur Coulson and Kane Joseph Wakefield Coulson. “We love you poppa Boo.” Grandfather to Sara and Adam Raichyk. Predeceased by his parents George and Martha and brother George. Barry retired from Algoma Steel Inc. January 2001. He has a love for music and shared so many piano tunes with his cancer friends at Daffodil Terrace in Sudbury. Lake Superior and all its beauty is part of who Barry is.
