MACKENZIE, John (Jack) Robert July 10, 1935 - September 1, 2004 passed away peacefully, at the Sault Area Hospitals (Plummer Site), with loving family by his side, after a courageous battle with cancer. Beloved husband of Patricia (nee Arnold). Loving father of: the late Penny Findlay, late John Robert Jr., Neil MacKenzie (Wendy) of Windsor, Julia Coutu (Victor) of Sault Ste. Marie, and Scott MacKenzie of Edmonton. Dear grandfather of: Marsha and John Findlay, Victor (Mandiy), Eric, and Lindsay Coutu, Jessie and John Scott MacKenzie, and Connor and Caitlin MacKenzie. Great-grandfather of seven, uncle to numerous nieces and nephews. Son of the late Hector and Ruth MacKenzie, brother of the late Don MacKenzie (late Evelyn), late Bill MacKenzie, late Doreen King (Allan), late Jean Lendrum (late Roy). Son-in-law of Julia (late Ross) Arnold. Brother-in-law of Linda Younger (Norman), Ross Arnold (Marlene), and James Arnold. Mmemorial contributions to the Sault Area Hospitals Palliative Care or the Sault Ste. Marie Cancer Clinic would be appreciated by the family. The sudden and tragic loss of Robyn Buffington and Claire Fraser has deeply saddened their families, friends and colleagues. They shared so much together. passed away Thursday, September 2, 2004 at Montfort Hospital in Ottawa at the age of 74. The daughter of James Swift and Laura Hartwick. Shirley was born March 1, 1930 in Fort William, Ontario. She married Edsel Piper September 24, 1953. Over the years Shirley loved to work for the genealogy society and doing work for her church. Shirley is survived by 2 children and their spouses. George and Catherine Piper of Ottawa and their children Adam, Heather, Emma and Amy, Drake and Katherine Piper of Millington, Michigan and their children Nelson, Alisha, Lauren and Gabe. She was predeceased by Edsel and her daughter Karen (Reid) who had 5 children Allison, Darryl, Tyler, Merideth and Katie. Also surviving are 5 brothers: Jack, Jim, Leonard, Norman and Jackie (Hulko) and 2 sisters June (Weaver) and Viola (Boston). Predeceased by Eileen (Hulko), Charles, Lorne, Laura (Tishler) and Billy (Hulko). Friends may call at the Arthur Funeral Home and Cremation Centre on Monday, September 6, 2004 from 7-9 pm.
