Peacefully passed away at the S.A.H. Plummer Site on Friday September 22, 2006 at the age of 75 years. Beloved husband of Hilda. Loving father of Robert, Barry (Jeannine), John, Cathy (T.J.) and Lisa Danz (John). Cherished grandfather of 6 and great grandfather of 2. Dear brother of Arthur, Patricia Hammond (late Bill), Ronald and Jack (Marilyn). Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Friends are invited to attend a memorial service at the Free Methodist Church (St. Joseph Island) on Monday September 25, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. with Mr. Tom Gurnick officiating. Devoted and much loved father of Marion Boyer, Bob Deevey (Sandra), Doris Hanninen (Lloyd), Kathleen Humphrey (late Roy), Tom Deevey (Heather) and Sandra Smith (Richard). Lovingly remembered by his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Brother of the late Lorne Deevey and Verna Shannahan. Brother of Victor (Georgina), Winston (Alice), Elaine Jackson (late Tom) of England, the late Charles (late Mary) of Ireland, the late David (Mary) of Acton, Ontario, Fred (Kay) of Wardsville, Ontario, Sarah (Ida) Fox of Virginia and the late Anne Merritt (Jim) of Virginia. Brother-in-law of Fay (Eli), Dianne, Linda, Tim, Debbie (Kelvin) and Dan (Julie). Special nieces Tara and Amber Magee of Sault Ste. Marie and special nephews Charles, Willie and Ned of Ireland. It is with deep sorrow we announce the passing away of Dr. Ross McCendie of Blind River at the age of 82. Dr. McCendie has practiced medicine in Blind River for the past 58 years. He leaves behind loving partner of 51 years Ed Menard, brother Cecil McCendie (Jeanne) of Sudbury, Gilbert McCendie (Faye) of Montreal and late sisters Audrey (Maurice) of Windsor and late Eileen (John) of Sudbury. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and grand nephews & nieces. They will miss him dearly. Friends may call at the MENARD FUNERAL HOME, Blind River Wednesday, September 20 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral mass to be held from St. James The Greater, Blind River Thursday, September 21 at 11 a.m. with Father Jim Ketzler officiating.
