Suzanne Elizabeth McIlroy (nee Kelly)
Suzanne Elizabeth McIlroy, 31, of Port Sydney, Ontario passed away surrounded by loving family and close friends at Mount Sinai Hospital, Toronto on Friday April 20, 2001 after a seven month struggle with leukemia. Suzanne McIlroy, beloved wife of Sean McIlroy; beloved daughter of Grace Kelly of Oakville and Dr. Jim Kelly and wife, Suzanne of Stratford; beloved daughter-in-law of Barb and Pat McIlroy and Donna Campbell of Huntsville; sadly missed by brothers, Baird and Liam Kelly; fondly remembered by grandparents Eric and Betty McMillan of Stratford, many aunts, uncles, cousins and good friends and her and Sean s Wheaton Terriers, Barley and Hops . Born in Stratford, Suzanne attended Bedford Public School. She graduated from Oakville Trafalgar Secondary School and went on to attain her degree, a Bachelor of Commerce from McMaster University. Suzanne started her career with the Hong Kong Bank of Canada and was most recently a successful personal investment manager with ScotiaBank in Muskoka. Suzanne will be resting at the Billingsley Funeral Home, 430 Ravenscliffe Rd., Huntsville where visitation will take place from 7-9 p.m. Monday April 23. Visitation from 11:00 a.m. will be followed with a funeral service at 12:00 noon both taking place at St. Mary s Catholic Church, 12 Centre St., N., Huntsville on Tuesday April 24. On Wednesday April 25, visitors are most welcome at the W.G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron Street, Stratford from 6-9 p.m. A graveside service is planned from 11:00 a.m. Thursday April 26 at the Avondale cemetery , 4 Avondale Avenue, Stratford. Dear brother of Vera Huiberts and husband Herman of Wellburn, two sisters-in-law Jean Droog of Embro, Emmy Hooydonk and husband Tony of St. Marys, one brother in Brazil, one brother and four sisters and their families in the Netherlands. Predeceased by one daughter Sylvia Louise in infancy (1961), one sister and three brothers.

Mrs. Jean Ross Ruthig, age 80, a resident of Spruce Lodge, Stratford passed away peacefully at her residence on Friday, December 28, 2001. She was born in Stratford, daughter of the late Herbert Glazier and the former Elsie Ireland. Jean had resided in Galt and Hamilton, coming to Stratford December, 1999. Dear sister of Gordon Glazier and wife Jean of RR 1 Dashwood, Wilma and husband Roy Roesner of Bayfield and Doreen Gee of Stratford. Also survived by many nieces and nephews and their families. Besides her parents she was predeceased by a brother-in-law Deane Gee. There will be no funeral home visitation. Coral Young, age 79, a resident of Greenwood Court, Stratford, and a lifelong resident of Stratford, passed away peacefully at her residence on Friday, February 8, 2002. She was born in Stratford, daughter of the late Norman and Elminda Young. She had been employed at Novatronics of Canada for 21 years and she was a member of Elgin Missionary Church. She is survived by her nephew Laverne Carter and his wife Erma of Burlington and her niece Karen Smith and husband Stan of Newmarket. She is also survived by great nieces and nephew. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her sisters Muriel Carter and Althea Shantz. Friends and relatives may call at the W. G. Mrs. Maria Johanna Van De Wetering, age 73, of 97 Huron Street, Stratford passed away peacefully at the Stratford General Hospital with family at her side on Friday, April 12, 2002. She is the beloved wife of Martin; loving mother of Leo and wife Sherry, Sebringville, Henry and wife Michelle, Stratford, Paul and wife Vic, Bayfield, David and wife Moira, Halifax, Dinah and husband John Gryszczuk, St. Marys, Mary Ellen and husband Craig Turnbull, Vancouver, Joanne and husband Les Szabo, Vancouver, Tricia and husband Frank Edye, St. Marys and Frances and husband Rob Evans, Stratford. She will be sadly missed by her 13 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Also surviving are 4 brothers and 4 sisters in Holland, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Audrey and Alf Heinbuck, Petra and Bart Ossendryver, Ann and Bill Verakel, Mary and Adrian Van Crey, Leo and Gerta Van De Wetering, Joe and Barb De Wetering, Rita and Karl Van De Wetering, Christine De Wetering, Ellen De Wetering, Barb De Wetering, Gerry Klumper, Bill Reuvers and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, by 3 sisters and 1 brother in Holland and 14 brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. She was a member of St. Joseph s Roman Catholic Church, Stratford and had been a member of Immaculate Concpetion Roman Catholic Church. She was also a 40 year member of the Catholic Women s League. Wilfred Joseph Hergott
Suddenly, after a brief battle with cancer, on Thursday, August 1, 2002 at Freeport Health Centre of the Grand River Hospital, Kitchener, Wilfred Hergott of New Hamburg. He was born November 9, 1922 in St. Clements, a son of the late Joseph and Rufina (Kieswetter) Hergott. Wilfred had farmed with his loving wife, Rosaline, and family for 25 years at RR 2 Baden prior to moving to New Hamburg in 1987, for retirement. He kept busy helping his family, enjoying carpentry and doing odd jobs. Wilfred enjoyed the farm and missed it when he moved to town. He was a member of Holy Family Roman Catholic Church since 1987 and kept the kneelers in repair there. Wilfred served in the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 532, New Hamburg and the Greenwood Rod and Gun Club. Wilfred is lovingly remembered by his wife Rosaline Marie (Hartman) Hergott, whom he married September 28, 1943. Sadly missed by sons Donald and his wife Lynn of Kitchener, James and his wife Linda of RR 1 Elora, Douglas and his wife Jean of Penticton, B.C., Wayne and his wife Heather and Paul and his wife Debbie, all of RR 2 Baden and by daughter Dolores and her husband Robert Glofcheski of RR 1 New Hamburg. Sadly missed by 12 grandchildren and 13 great-grand- children. Also remembered by a brother Albert and his wife Jean of Vancouver, B.C., and by three nieces. Wilfred was predeceased by his parents in 1981 and by step-sister Marie (Hergott) and her husband, Alfred Reiber and their son, Joseph. Gardiner On Tuesday, October 22, 2002 after a long, courageous battle with cancer, at the age of 73. Will be sadly missed by his children and grandchildren.
