Henry Shipper
Henry Shipper of 128 Killoran Crescent, Stratford passed away suddenly at the Stratford General Hospital on Thursday, December 19, 2002 in his 89th year. Born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, he was a son of the late Henry and Geertje (Worst) Shipper. Henry served with the Canadian Armed Forces during the Second World War in heavy anti-aircraft artillery. He retired as general manager from Eastern Smallware and Stationery Company in Winnipeg on April 30, 1974, enjoyed many years of curling at the Rossmere Curling Club, Winnipeg and spending time at the family cottage at Beaver Creek. In August, 1995 Henry and his wife Freda moved to Stratford. Beloved husband of Freda Gustafson whom he married in Winnipeg on September 24, 1938. Dear father of Carol and husband Alan Oakes of Stratford and Gail and husband Gary Mullin of St. George, New Brunswick. Dear grandfather of Amber and Cody Oakes, Mike Mullin, and Carl Mullin and wife Denise. Also surviving are several great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by brothers Bert and John Shipper. In keeping with Henry s wishes, funeral arrangements will be private. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Stratford General Hospital Foundation through the Heinbuck Funeral Home, 156 Albert Street, Stratford. Osmond Lines
Mr. Osmond Lines, husband of the former Helen Acheson of Milverton passed away at Knollcrest Lodge, Milverton on Friday, February 14, 2003 in his 86th year. Surviving is his family Robert James Lines and wife Carol of Millbank and Garry Lines and wife Patricia of Milverton; son-in-law Larry Leis and wife Mary Lou of New Hamburg; eight grandchildren Shelley and Kevin Beggs and family Nicolas and Nicole, Kelli and Jeff Marshall and family Carassa and Brianna, Todd, Trevor, Craig, and Cory Lines, Wanda Leis and Scott Leis. Predeceased by parents Edgar Lines and the former Ollie McCourt and one daughter Linda Leis. Visitation at Peebles Funeral Home, Atwood on Sunday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. where service will be held on Monday, February 17, 2003 at 2 p.m. Interment Greenwood cemetery Milverton. Irene Waymouth
Clara Irene Waymouth, 91, of Spruce Lodge, Stratford and formerly of Hibernia Street, passed away peacefully at her residence on Friday, July 4, 2003. Born in Hullett Township, August 31, 1911, a daughter of the late Frank Longman and the former Isabella Jackson. Irene had been a life long member of Central United Church, Stratford and the UCW. She was also active for many years with Radiant Chapter #134, Order of the Eastern Star and the Sebringville Women s Institute. Predeceased by her husband Charles Waymouth December 21, 1986. Loving mother of Murray and wife Rose, RR 4 Stratford, Dolores and husband Jeff Kastner, Bayfield, Doug and wife Karen, Chatham, Bruce and wife Wendy, Thamesford. Grand- mother to numerous grandchildren and great- grandchildren. Also survived by one daughter- in-law Annabelle Waymouth, Ingersoll, one son-in-law Don Ward, Belleville, one brother Lloyd Longman and his wife Gladys, Stratford and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband she was predeceased by sons Ross and Donald, by a daughter Keitha Ward, and by brothers Harold Longman and his wife Mary, Carl Longman and his wife Kathleen. Family will receive friends at Central United Church, 194 Avondale Avenue, Stratford on Tuesday, July 8 from 12 noon until the time of the funeral home service at 1 p.m. Rev. Cheryl Ann Stadelbauer- Sampa will officiate. Burial in Blyth Union cemetery. Shawn J. Hamilton
Shawn Jeffrey Hamilton of Tavistock passed away suddenly on Thursday, October 9, 2003 in his 25th year as the result of an automobile accident. He was employed at Maple Leaf Foods in New Hamburg, a member of St. Paul s Lutheran Church in Tavistock, was an avid reader, had a passion for drawing and had been active in minor sports in Tavistock. Shawn was born in Stratford on November 28, 1978. Beloved son of Terry and Lenore (Seaman) Hamilton; cherished brother and friend of Scott and Nicholas, all of Tavistock; loving grandson of Reginald and Jeanette Seaman of London, Vernon and Jean Hamilton of Exeter, Kay Bamberger and his friend Sandy Davis of Kitchener; loved nephew of Vivian and Delmar Martin of Elmira; Debbie and Richard Dryland of Kitchener; Jennifer Seaman and friend Tom, Danny and Lynn Seaman, Brenda Seaman and friend John, Sue Seaman, Steven and Kathleen Seaman, Kevin Seaman, Rodney and Sara Seaman, all of London; Sandy MacDonald of Acton, Barbara Seaman of Hamilton. Also fondly remembered by Wayne and Laurie Powell, many great aunts, great uncles, cousins and friends. Predeceased by his grandmother, Kathleen Bamberger and his uncle, Jeffrey Seaman. Relatives and friends will be received in the Francis Funeral Home, 77 Woodstock Street North, Tavistock on Sunday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. and on Monday from 2 p.m. until time of the funeral service at 3:30 p.m. The Rev. Daniel Kitsch will officiate. Interment in St. Paul s Lutheran cemetery , Tavistock. Jean Diehl
Mrs. Jeanetta May Diehl, age 79, a resident of Cedarcroft Place, Stratford, and formerly of 105 St. Vincent Street North, passed away peacefully at her residence on Friday, January 11, 2001. She was the daughter of the late James and Annie Mercer. Jean and her husband ran Diehl s Taxi Service in Stratford for many years. She is the beloved wife of the late Finlay Diehl, who predeceased her February 17, 1985. She is survived by several nieces and nephews and good friends Keith and Emma Dinicol of Stratford. Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her sister Edith McCorquodale. Cremation has taken place. A public graveside service will be held at Avondale cemetery , Stratford at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to a charity of one s choice through the W.G. Dorothy Krantz
Dorothy Anna Krantz of R.R. #4, Stratford passed away in Stratford General Hospital on Friday, April 13, 2001. She was predeceased by her husband Carl S. Krantz on May 16, 1995. Edna Louisa Buuck passed away peacefully on Friday, November 9, 2001 at Hillside Nursing Home, R.R.5 Stratford, Edna Buuck formerly of Milverton. She was born in Ellice Township 95 years ago a daughter of the late Frank M. Jacob and Louisa Stoskopf. She was a member of St. Paul s Lutheran Church, Ellice Township. Beloved wife of Henry William Buuck who predeceased her in February of 1992. Loving mother of Franklin Buuck who predeceased her in 1979. Also missed by a daughter-in-law Mary Buuck of St. Marys, two grand-daughters Jennifer & Steve Graper, Leigh Ann & John Febrey and two great-grandchildren. Dear brother of George & Doris Jacob of Sebringville. Ever remembered by three sisters-in-law, Pearl Ridgeway of Stoney Creek, Marie Ratz of New Hamburg, Sevilla Buuck of Stratford, and a number of nieces & nephews. Also predeceased by 10 brothers-in-laws and 5 sisters-in-law.
