At the General Hospital on Wednesday, December 27, 2006. Beloved husband of Anna James. Loving father of Krista (Dave), Kevin (Shannon), Dawn (Greg), Glenn (Rhonda), Sid and special son Mark (Kim). Proud grandfather of 12 and great grandfather of 12. Brother of Doreen Cresswell (late Roger), Ellen Maitland (Gary), Dale Ladouceur (Beatrice) and the late Jack James (Eileen), late Mamie Gagne (late Rod), late Josie Dickinson (late Joy), late Edward (Tim) James and the late Albert James (Marilyn). Donald will be fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Northwood Funeral Home (942 Great Northern Road 945-7758) on Tuesday, January 2, 2007 from 11:00 a.m. until time of memorial service in the Chapel at 1:00 p.m. Memorial donations made to the Ontario Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.

passed away peacefully after a brief illness with family at his side at South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater N.S. on Dec. 24, 2006, age 87. Born in Dartmouth N.S. Loving husband of the late Margery. Loving father of Christopher, Steve (Norma-Jean) and Jennifer. From 1940-46 Allan served in the RCAF as a pilot, discharged as F/L after one tour in Burma. Post-war he variously flew for KLM, Hollinger Ungava Transport in Labrador, and later established and ran the air service for Algoma Steel in Sault Ste. Marie ON for 27 years. Moving to Mahone Bay in 1990 and was a founding member of the Western Nova Scotia Aircrew Association and the Silver Dart Chapter of the Canadian Aviation Historical Society. The author of two books and a tireless advocate of our Canadian veterans legacy. Allan will be sadly missed by many. Visitation with Legion ceremony at Mahone Funeral Home, 32 Parish St. Mahone Bay N.S. on Friday, Dec. 29 from 7-9 pm; funeral in St. James Anglican Church, Mahone Bay on Saturday Dec. 30 at 2 pm. Interment at Upper Blue Rocks Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Allan’s memory may be made to a charity of your choice.

Beloved wife of James Collins and dear mother of Doris Thompson (Gordie), Leonard Poole (Rose), Christine Poole (Michael), Fabien Poole (Barb), Timothy Poole (Wendy), Lily Connor (Jim), Kenneth Causley (Michelle), Clarence Causley (Maria), Debbie Shackleton (Larry), Tammy Black, Daniel, and Kimberly Lemay (John). Dear grandmother of many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Charles Plaskett (Rhea), Lloyd Mitchell (Irene), Velma Patrie (late Wilfred) and the late Keneth Mitchell. Friends may call at the Arthur Funeral Home & Cremation Centre on Friday December 29, from 11 am until the time of the funeral and committal service at 1 pm in the chapel.

Cherished Nan of Lauren and Robert. Daughter of Patricia Hammond (late William 'Bill'). Sister of Betty Rushon (Dan), Carolyn Stubbs (Robert), Diana Drigan (Albert) and Bill Hammond (Anjela). Lovingly remembered by her many nieces and nephews. Linda was a long time friend of Roland. A Memorial Service will be held at the Northwood Funeral Home (942 Great Northern Road 945-7758) on Saturday, December 30, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. with Mr. John Kaminski officiating.
