MOREAU, Lucy Poitras (nee Jensen)

passed away peacefully at the F.J. Davey Home on Tuesday, October 16, 2007 at the extraordinary age of 100. Predeceased by her husbands, William Moreau and Sam Poitras. Dear mother of Yens Poitras (Violet) and the late Elise Phillips (late Aime), James Poitras (Muriel), Mary Coull and Lucille Tremblay. Foster mother of Lois McGonegal, Donald McGonegal (late Betty), Nancy DiPaulo and the late George McGonegal (Carole). Stepmother of Fern & Armand and many other brothers and sisters. Beloved sister of Kisten Allen and the late Eda, Annie and Francis (Sonny). She will always be remembered by her many grandchildren. Lucy was an author and a published song writer as well as a recording artist. She wrote many “Letters to the Editor” to voice her opinion and until recently still shared her political views. She was an amazing woman and will be missed by all. Friends and family may call at the Arthur Funeral Home & Cremation Centre on Thursday, October 18, 2007 from 9:30 am until time of funeral service in the chapel at 10:30 am. Chaplain Mary Alice Policicchio officiating. Interment Hillside Cemetery, Blind River, Ontario. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the F.J. Davey Home Foundation would be appreciated by the family.

passed away suddenly at the Sudbury Memorial Hospital on October 12th, 2007 at the age of 57. Beloved husband and best friend of Linda (nee Aikens) for 38 years. Much loved father of Jennifer Talbot (Shawn) and Christine Scott (Walter). Cherished Papa of Miranda, Kayla and Kylie Talbot, Tyler Roy and Jaymie Scott. Son of the late Lionel and Vrena. Dear brother of Dianne Spadafore (Johnny), Ernie (Linda), Donna Sharpe, and Skip. Son-in-law of the late Evelyn and Edward Aikens. Brother-in-law of Janet Moar (Late Bob). Phil will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Friends may call at the Arthur Funeral Home & Cremation Centre on Wednesday October 17th, 2007 from 10 am until the time of the services in the chapel at 1pm. Memorial donations made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.

Dear father of Lisa Clemente (Angelo) and Pina Reid (Doug). Loving grandfather of Jimmy, Johnny, Maria, Angela, Artie and Jeff. Brother of Peppino (Maria), Franco (Florinda) Manfredi, Maria Brunetta (Adriano) and the late Salvatore (Ida) Manfredi. He is also survived by many nephews and nieces. Friends may call at O’SULLIVAN DONNELLY FUNERAL HOME, 215 Cathcart St. corner of St.James St. and Cathcart St. on Thursday, October 11th from 6-9 pm. passed away peacefully on October 8, 2007 at the FJ Davey Home. Born on September 21, 1912. Beloved husband of the late Dale Maki (nee Wright). Loving father of Marilyn Maki (Al), Catherine Findlay (John), Brian Maki (Audrey) and Aldene Burry (Laurie). Grandpa: we followed you through the fields of hay, we rode on the old tractor, helped bring in the crops and gather eggs. Our memories will be with us forever. Love your adoring grandchildren: Michelle Turco (John), Christine Gulbranson (Brent), Marni Simmons (Eric), Wayne Maki (Crystal), Dennis Maki, Cory Burry and Mindy Smith (Derek). Great grandfather of many. Predeceased by siblings Swanti Maki (late Ellen), Eli Perkio (late Aero), William Maki (late Ena), Ina Lawlor (late Elmo), Ida Cameron (late Wilfred) and Edward Maki (Alma). Brother-in-law of the late Osborne Wright (Barbara). Art will be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Great grandmother of Tanner James Wiley, Ty Nelson Wiley of Fort Smith, Arkansas and Erica Nelson of Hamilton. Dear sister ; Jack Nash (Eileen), Margaret Lauzon (late Phil), predeceased by her brothers Bill Nash (late Jean) and Tom Nash (late Joan). Sister-in-law of; Ben Nelson (late Bernice), Oscar Nelson (late Marilyn), Albert Nelson (Jenny), Verena Newman (Dave) and predeceased by Irene Hietala, Ruth Zaffini (late Ed), Rudolph Nelson and Arthur Nelson. Survived by many nieces and nephews. A private funeral service was held at the Northwood Funeral Home (942 Great Northern Road 945-7758) on Tuesday, October 9, 2007 with Reverend Bruce McLeish officiating. Interment at West Korah Cemetery. Memorial donations made to the Sault Area Hospital Cancer Clinic would be appreciated by the family.
