It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our mother, who passed peacefully at the General Hospital on Monday January 29, 2007 surrounded by her family at the age of 76 years. Predeceased by her husband Tom of 54 years, parents Henri and Angeline Robertson. The family would like to extend their appreciation to the excellent care givers at the General Hospital. Mom was born in the small town of Ramsey in Northern Ontario. It was 15 years later, in Missanabie where she first met Dad. After four years of marriage Mom and Dad, with their young daughter Connie, moved to Sault Ste. Marie where they saw their family grow to six. Mom was active in the CWL and was the neighbourhood hairdresser and dressmaker. Mom was very supportive of her children and routinely walked a mile to watch her sons play hockey and she never missed a wrestling match at Korah Collegiate. At the age of 50 she astounded all of us by getting her driver’s license and her first job as cook at Maycourt Daycare. She was passionate in her hobby of knitting and donated hundreds of pairs of mittens to the Salvation Army.
