Peacefully at the General Hospital on Friday, December 5, 2008 at the age of 90. Beloved wife of the late John for 65 years. Loving mother of Judy Diodati (Carlo). Cherished grandma of Debbie, Andie (Pam) and Kelly and great grandmother of Geraldine, Jonathon and Dessire. Special great grandmother of Ellan and Chelsea. Predeceased by her brothers and sisters, Charlie, Agnes, Clara, Victor, Nora, Harry and Gladie. Devoted aunt to many nieces and nephews especially Pat, Barb and their families. Following a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer, it is with great sadness but fond, loving memories that we announce his passing at home in Thessalon with all his family present. Son of the late Jack & Bess MacDonald. Survived by his wife Mary Anne, daughters Lisa (Stuart Waite) and Kirsten; and son Ryan; brother Farrel and his wife Linda and their children Matthew, Nicole and Drew. At Rod's request, friends are asked to join us for a celebration of his life at the Sinton Tavern, Main Street, Thessalon on Thursday, December 4th. Died on Sunday, November 30, 2008 in the Complex Continuing Care Unit of the Plummer Hospital, Sault Ste. Marie, at the age of 98. Daughter of the late William and Blanche (Cameron) Jeffrey. Predeceased by brothers Harold and Bill (Nora) Jeffrey, sister Dorothy (MacColl) Johnston, and nephew Michael Fournier. Survived by her sister May Fournier and niece Barbara Fournier, both of Sault Ste. Marie, and her nephew Jeffrey MacColl (Judy) of Bobcaygeon, her grand-niece Elizabeth MacColl and grand-nephew Michael Chapman. She enjoyed a lifelong friendship with Helen Zenzen of Sault Ste. Marie. For many years Beatrice worked for the Sault Ste. Marie Transit System. She had also been an active member of the Business and Professional Women's organization, the Ontario Naturalists, O.E.S., Nokomis Chapter and the White Shrine of Jerusalem. In accordance with Beatrice's wishes there will be no funeral service. A private cremation has been arranged with the Arthur Funeral Home & Cremation Centre (759-2522). In lieu of flowers, donations to the Westminster Presbyterian Church or S.A.H. would be appreciated.

At the Sault Area Hospital, on Tuesday December 2, 2008, surrounded by her family, after a long and full life, spanning almost a century, Matilda Puskaric (in her 100th year) went to join her late husband Marko. Matilda will be sadly missed by her niece Josephine Ravlich (late Emil ). She was Baba to Rosemarie Edgar (Mike), George Ravlich (Patti) and Mark Ravlich (Lynda). Baba Senior to Emily Marilyn Edgar. Also surviving is her brother, Blaz Luksic in Croatia. Her loss will also be felt by her very dear friend, Father Veselko as well as her many friends and relatives in Canada and Croatia .Friends may call at O’Sullivan Donnelly Funeral Home, corner of Cathcart and St. James Sts, Thursday December 4th from 6-9 p.m. Prayer service at 7.30 p.m. . Peacefully surrounded by family and friends at the Sault Area Hospital on Sunday, November 30, 2008 at the age of 51. Loving husband and best friend of Betty. Devoted dad and golf partner of Scott. Predeceased by his parents Oliver and Margaret Reed. Dear brother of Eunice Fraser (Mel), Elva Polano (Nick), Jerry (Judy), Sharon Lee (King), Ron, Wayne (Gail) and the late Dave (late Sandra). Son-in-law of Gen McCrea (late Orland). Brother-in-law of Bob McCrea (Nancy), Debbie Krohn (Paul) and Ruth Zanatta (Brian). Uncle Rob will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Rob had a passion for golf. His involvement included organizing tournaments, chaperoning junior golfers, volunteering and fund raising for organizations. He participated annually in the longest day of golf. He competed in numerous tournaments throughout Ontario and sat on the board for the Sault Golf & Country Club and the NGA. During the off season, Rob was busy coaching Scott's hockey teams, refereeing and supervising.
