passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Sunday, November 30, 2008 at the age of 87. Beloved husband of Roberta for 63 years. Cherished father of Ruth Burzese (Albert), Ethel Gagne (Charlie) and Wayne (Beverly). Grandfather of Laura, Lisa, Gary and Sara. Great grandfather of eight. Brother of Kathleen Van Norman (late Harvey), Jim (Pat) and Clayton (Verna). Remembered by many nieces and nephews. Best friend for 83 years of Clifford Reynolds. Friends may call at the Arthur Funeral Home & Cremation Centre on Tuesday, December 2, 2008 from 7-9 pm. Funeral service will be held in the chapel on Wednesday, December 3, 2008 at 11 am. Mrs. Joy McPhee officiating. Interment Greenwood Cemetery. Memorial donations to the SAH Cancer Care Fund would be appreciated by the family. Our sincere thanks to the staff of Palliative for the wonderful care given to our Dad.

Unexpectedly and lovingly surrounded by his family, Bill was ushered into the arms of Jesus on Thursday, November 27, 2008 at Toronto General Hospital at the age of 58 years. Beloved and devoted husband of Kathryn (Hart). Wonderful father of Todd William (Pamela), Michael James, Matthew Steven, Laura Amy and the late infant Paul David. Special Grampy to Mitchell Alexander. Son of Patricia and the late William Armstrong Sr. Brother of Judy Pyykonen (Kim). Bill will be sadly missed by his parents-in-law, brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and a host of friends. He was greatly adored by the students and faculty of Sault College where he taught for 26 years. Family and friends may call at the Northwood Funeral Home (942 Great Northern Road 945-7758) on Tuesday, December 2, 2008 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held at Bethany Baptist Church (1074 Second Line West) on Wednesday, December 3, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Steve Mills officiating. Interment at Greenwood Cemetery. Memorial donations made to Lung Cancer Research at Princess Margaret Hospital would be appreciated by the family.

Grandfather of Connie Mollame (Sam), Abbie Caputo (Celina), Ernie Caputo (Monique), Carolyn McAuley (Gene), Carla Caputo, Paul Caputo (Nella), Tammy Chartrand (Derek), Michelle and Carmen Caputo. Great Grandfather of 15. Brother of the late Luigi and Ernesto Caputo. Brother in law to late Angelina Coccimiglio (late Eugenio), late Leondina Muto (late Giovanni), Francesca Coccimiglio (late Carmen), late Domenic Coccimiglio ((Maria), Gilda Bifano (late Eugenio), Emilio Coccimiglio (Ida), late Giovanni Coccimiglio, Ida Bruni (Filippo), Silvio Coccimiglio (Annetta) and Gaetano Coccimiglio (Josephine). Alberto is also survived by many nephews and nieces. Grandmother of Adam Wesley and Justin Richard Brett. Daughter of the late Samuel George and Edna Pearl Johnston. Sister of William Johnston, Florence Mihell and the late Walter and Wesley Johnston. Dear sister of Alex (Ruby), James (Lila), Elizabeth (late John Brydges), Lucy (late Earl Eastman), Sarah (Mike Neveau) and Margaret (Rheal Plouffe). Suddenly passed away at home in the loving arms of his family on November 27th, 2008 in Aiello, Calabro Italy. Loving son of the late Carmine and Maria Mazzuca and son-in-law of Rosario and Rosina Marsico. Loving husband of Annetta and dear father and father-in-law to Maria (Santino), Carmine (Maria), Roberto (Patricia)and Donnato (Stephania). Special nonno to 9 grandchildren and uncle to many nephews and nieces. Cherished and loved brother to Melina Runco (Mario) of Italy, Antonietta Posteraro (Angelo), Gabriele (Carmela), Dr. Menotti Mazzuca (Mary) of Toronto, Venanzio (Theresa), Aquilina DeMiglio (Frank) and Quinto (Lucy).
Dearest Brother : You were taken before we could say good-bye. You always brought so much happiness and joy into our lives. May God love you in Heaven as we do at home. We love you and will miss you so very much. Forever in our hearts.

Peacefully at the Sault Area Hospital, November 27, 2008 at the age of 75. Beloved husband of Leonilde (Lee) Gomes Semedo. Loving father of Fernando Gomes Semedo. Dear brother of the late Maria Santos (Antonio) and late Urvalina Santos (Viriato). Cherished brother-in-law of Maria Alice Gomes, Zulmira Lopes (Antonio), Adelia Soeiro (Francisco), Fernando Gomes (Fernanda) and Graca Santos (Donaldo). Artur will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Immigrating to Canada from Portugal in 1957 with nearly nothing, he worked hard to provide a better life for his family. He loved his vegetable garden and his home village of Vila Boa. Friends may call at the Arthur Funeral Home & Cremation Centre on Monday, December 1, 2008 from 6 – 9 pm. Funeral mass from Our Lady of Good Counsel Church on Tuesday, December 2, 2008 at 10 am. Father Michael Williams officiating. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
